Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 96 Call Me As You Like

"It's not all Charles' fault. Even if the Fu family asked Dorothy to come back, she chose not to. And since she left him, Charles was free to date any woman. If she came back then, she would have been part of the Fu family. And our family business... Humph! If we got the help of TS Group then, we would have been so rich," Drew said, crossing his arms against his chest.

"She's our only daughter, and I don't allow you to speak for Charles ever again." Sherry put the flower branches into the vase with force, obviously not happy with what her husband just said.

"You always spoil her! If she breaks up with Charles, we will never replace such a good man for her! What was she thinking?! She already got the big fish, and your daughter is foolish enough to let it go." Drew was even angrier now that his wife was taking their daughter's side. They were both unreasonable!

"Dorothy is good enough for Charles. And besides, I don't think he is willing to give up such a beauty like our daughter!" Evidenced by her curved lips and head slightly raised, Sherry sounded so proud. "That's because you are her mother, and you can only see her merits. But other people will not look at her the same way! Never mind. I don't want to talk to you!" Evident in his voice was the impatience he had been containing. So to cool down his head, he stood up and was about to leave when the sound of an engine roared from the courtyard.

Then after a while, Dorothy's cheerful voice resounded, "Dad, mom, I'm back." "Oh, here she comes!" Sherry excitedly walked out of the living room to greet her daughter. "Oh, so is Charles! Come in!"

Hearing Charles's name, Drew walked up to him immediately and greeted, "Charles, come in."

"Hello, Mr. Zhuang and Mrs. Zhuang," Charles greeted and slightly bowed down to show his respect.

"You can just call them auntie and uncle. Don't be too polite." Dorothy nudged him, sporting a pout and pretending to be sulky with how he addressed her parents.

However, Charles didn't say anything and just eyed the elders with his most nonchalant gaze.

"Call me however you like." Drew was even more polite and embarrassed. In fact, it was already a great honor for him to have someone like Charles visit their house. "Alright," Charles replied courteously.

"Ask the chef to prepare more dishes. I will keep Charles company for a while," Drew commanded.

Sherry picked up her phone, took a photo of Dorothy beside Charles, and posted it on WeChat.

This was obviously to brag about the man in her daughter's life.

After all, Charles was the most influential businessman in the city, and there was no way Sherry wouldn't show that off.

More than that, she couldn't wait to let the public know about her daughter's relationship with him.

It would only take a picture of the two uploaded in the most widely used social media application. And true enough! In less than two minutes, they became the hottest topic online-much to Sherry's satisfaction Meanwhile, Nancy had just finished an operation when

Jessie came rushing towards her.

"Doctor Nancy, look!" the latter yelled, holding her phone while wearing a cautious look on her face.

"What?" Nancy asked while massaging her nape.

"Promise me you won't be sad after reading it. Men are all like this, whether they're rich or not. They are all greedy-guts!" From the way Jessie spoke, Nancy already had an idea of what she was about to show her. And her instincts didn't fail once her eyes were glued on the screen.

'Dorothy Zhuang, Charles' girlfriend, came back from abroad. Will the true lovers end up together?' Nancy read silently while her brows knitted tightly.

As she ran her eyes through the screen, a slight pang of pain flickered in her chest. But even so, she just sported a bland smile and uttered, "I have nothing to do with Mr. Fu. Director Jessie. Please don't get me wrong."

"No, I didn't. I just wanted to show you this." Although Jessie meant well, there was nothing but pity in her eyes.

It was if Nancy had been dumped and completely left with nothing. After all, her relationship with Charles was no secret even though they never admitted it.

But Nancy just ignored her remark. Instead, she placed the phone in Jessie's hand and turned around. Then, without saying any word, she headed to her office.

Once she was left alone in the four corners of that room, she poured herself a glass of water and stared blankly at it.

Frankly, she was so sunk deep in her thoughts that even the water seemed like a perfect metaphor about life.

All her energy was sucked out of her body that even her fingers were immobile. At this point, breathing was the only rational thing to do for her.

Then, as she tried to make sense of what she was feeling, her phone rang.

Nancy tried to bring forth her composure before answering the call. As soon as she stuck her phone on her right ear, Doris' voice bombed from the other line, "I told you it's a stupid idea to take care of that bastard's kid! Now what?! Just because his girlfriend returned from abroad, he suddenly shoved you out?! Look what he's done! You deserve this for being so blinded and foolish!" Without bothering to say "hello," Doris directly proceeded into lashing about the news. Even the pacing of her words showcased how furious she was at that moment.

"I didn't offend you. Why are you so angry with me?" Meanwhile, Nancy remained calm. In fact, her voice was coated with sadness that she tried to pass it off as nonchalance.

"I feel sorry for you. You've been taking care of Bobby and even let him call you "mommy" and Charles repays you like this?! Damn it! Men are really ungrateful jerks!" Doris' harsh words pierced through Nancy's heart. The former wasn't lying and just stating the obvious, but it still hurt like hell for Nancy.

"I didn't lose anything. Don't feel sorry for me. By the way, how are you?" As she sat on the chair and held the glass of water, Nancy tried to stir the topic away.

"Don't try to change the topic! I'm not as stupid as you are. I have seen through men's wolf nature a long time ago. I won't be easily fooled." Doris clenched her teeth while feeling guilty for what she just said. More than that, she didn't dare to tell Nancy that she had lost her virginity only to feel more convicted than she already was.

"You know, I think that Jay cares a lot about you. Maybe you can try dating him." After thinking for a while, Nancy managed to address the elephant in the room- although she was just trying to avoid being the center of the conversation.

"Humph!" The mere mention of Jay's name made Doris snort sarcastically. Then, with a dour tone, she continued, "As far as I've learned, it's better to stay away from him. But anyway, if you are upset, let me buy you a drink tonight," Doris offered with a softer voice.

"I may be single now, but I still have Nadia to take care of. I think it's better for me if I drink less from now on," Nancy quipped with a naughty smile, playing with the mouth of the glass with her fingers.

"All right. I have to hang up. I have a patient now," said Doris as she heard a knock on the door.

"Alright, bye." Nancy lazily spoke, now tapping her fingers on her table.

As soon as Doris put away her phone, she saw Jay walk in, wearing a playful smug on her face.

For several seconds, she was rendered speechless while her mouth hung agape. But after getting back to her senses, she annoyingly asked, "Why are you here again?"

She might have sounded irritated with her furrowed brows, but Doris was trying to conceal her real emotions. The truth was, this guy had been exerting so much effort recently that she was almost on the verge of going crazy.

He would always come to the hospital, and every time, she would just ignore him. Then after work, he would wait for her outside her apartment.

And just like in the hospital, she would walk right past him as if he was a ghost. But the jerk would wait outside all night!

Then the next day, she saw him leaning against his car, smoking.

Because he spent the entire night outside his apartment, the man looked decadent and worn out.

Doris may be cold and stern sometimes, but she wasn't a stone-hearted woman.

With slow and heavy footsteps, she approached him and asked, "Is it fun for you to wait here, Jay?"

"Doris, I want to know if you've been feeling strange lately." Perhaps it was his lack of sleep that Jay managed to say that outrightly.

But instead of getting an honest answer from Doris, the latter just stared at him and shouted, "What are you talking about?! Just go home and take a rest! I don't want to see you anymore."

Doris tried to walk past him with that cold remark, but the bastard was quick enough to block her way.

"Stop! Just tell me...have you been feeling something strange about your body?" With the way he gazed at her belly, Doris immediately understood what he meant.

"Jay, I will never get pregnant with your child. Even if I do, I will try my best to get rid of it. Do you understand?" A blank stare, coupled with her sharp tone, were enough to irate the man in front of her. "What?! Please don't do that. The kid is innocent!" he pleaded with a temperate pair of eyes.

But to her frustration, Doris just snorted, "Would you give up?! If you want to have a baby with a woman, there are many girls in your WeChat. So stop pestering me!"

"No, I just want you to be my child's mommy!" A rascal smile flashed across his handsome face. At this point, Jay was nowhere near giving up. In fact, he became more playful despite being sleepy. "You are insane!" Doris retorted and walked away from him while shaking her head.

"Doris, I'd do anything you want. Just please, don't kill our baby!" Jay shouted with utmost conviction as he stared at her disappearing figure.
