Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 1003 Despicable Humans
Upon hearing this, Darren laughed and said, "Don't place all your hopes on your so-called master. My avatar and the tribe ancestor had already driven him and his master away. I'm afraid he won'tdare come out again.”
"That's bullshit! My master will come out of the forbidden area soon. And when he does, he will killyou and your companions.” The little ape was adamant with his belief as he glared at Darren.Darren frowned. "Don't be too arrogant. Your master isn't strong enough to enter the forbiddenarea. And even if he did, he's probably dead by now.”
Of course, Darren himself had no idea what the forbidden area on this island was, but the little apedidn't have to know that. Darren was simply trying to wheedle information out of the latter.
"My master is the most talented cultivator in the world. I'm sure that he will succeed in getting outof the forbidden area.” As the little ape spoke, his eyes fell on the gigantic ape stone statue thatstood like a mountain from a distance. This didn't escape Darren's notice.
"So the forbidden area is in the giant stone statue!" Darren realized.
The little ape laughed and said, "So what if you know? No one can open the way to the forbiddenarea except for my grandfather. You say you want to kill my master? Well, good luck on that!""Then I suppose I ought to bother your grandfather for a bit." Darren smiled.
"Go away. My grandfather won't help you.”
But Darren ignored the little ape and continued, "Let's see if your grandfather truly loves you.”
The expression on the little ape’s face instantly changed. He seemed to have guessed Darren's realintentions.
"Are you thinking of using me to threaten my grandfather?” The little ape seemed nervous aboutthis.
"So it seems you're not that stupid.”
With that, Darren dashed towards the little ape at full speed.
"I won't let you!"
With a roar, the little ape immediately set off into the sea.
"Humph, I'm sorry." Darren sneered as his body suddenly turned red.
With his palms, he let out the terrifying power of the Shura Force towards the sea.
In a blink of an eye, the little ape was surrounded.
Darren gathered all his power and flung the little ape’s body to the air.
With his right hand, he caught the little ape by the neck and began strangling him. His left handpinned the little ape's shoulder.
"Let me go!" The little ape struggled desperately. His eyes were wide with fright.
Darren struck the little ape across the face with his palm.
It broke several of the little ape's meridians, rendering his struggles futile.
Of course, Darren had to hold back his full strength to avoid injuring the little ape fatally.
"Hey, old ape, I have your grandson. You better stop now or he'll suffer.” Darren's voicereverberated through the air.
In the depths of the void, the old ape and the Rule Soul Avatar were locked in a fierce battle. At thispoint, the old ape already had the upper hand and was about to deliver his final blow when Darren'svoice reached him.
"Oh, no! There's another man!"
The old ape spread out his spiritual sense to check. Sure enough, he detected that his grandson wasin the hand of another human.
The old ape didn't want to fight anymore, but he quickly heeded Darren's call.
"Human, let go of my grandson. Otherwise, I'll have to kill all of you even if it means killing myself inthe process,”
he snarled, exposing his long fangs.
The air rustled gently as the avatar and the old man flew over.
They all landed beside Darren.
"Darren, gentlemen do not hold hostages,” the old man scolded Darren, via his spiritual sense.
"Sir, I had no choice. If the fight goes on, both parties will end up fatally injured. This is the only wayto ensure no one dies," Darren explained.
"Alas, it's foolish of me to talk about being a gentleman anyway." The old man shook his head.Darren nodded his head in acknowledgement. He then turned his attention back on the old ape.He could already tell that the old ape was nervous upon seeing his grandson captured.
"Take it easy, Ape Spiritual King,” Darren said. His tone was as calm as possible.
"Let go of my grandson, or you will die.” The old ape looked ferocious and determined to gothrough with his threat. He had no qualms in killing the three humans for the sake of his grandson. In fact, the old ape could do just that.
The Oath Rule wouldn't instantly come in effect so he could kill them before it did.
At his peak strength, it wouldn't take long for him to finish the three humans.
The Rule Soul Avatar was fully aware of this, too.
"Grandpa, forget about me. I'm willing to die if it means killing these humans,” the younger apeshouted.
"Sir, I believe you won't let that happen. Because you value your grandson's life more than yourown. You know that I can kill your grandson first before you can even mobilize your peak strength.”Darren leveled the old ape with an unwavering stare to show that he wasn't messing around.Hearing this, the huge body of the Ape Spiritual King shrunk into a hundred feet high.
At this point, a look of defeat flashed through the old ape’s face. He knew that Darren was right. Hisgrandson's life was more important to him than anything. He couldn't risk him.
"Human, you are indeed cunning and shameless. You win."
He sighed, forlornly. The lines in his face deepened, making him look older than before.
"Tell me what you want, you despicable ant,” the old ape snapped, petulantly.
"I don't mind you swearing at me, sir. The reason why I did this is because I didn't want to seeanyone die from this fight.
Now, I'll go straight to the point. I need ten drops of your blood essence," Darren said.
"Very well then. I promise to give you that. Now let my grandson go right now.” A complicatedexpression crossed the old ape’s face as he tried to keep himself composed.
At this point, Darren knew that it wouldn't be that simple.
"Don't release him just yet, my real body. Let the old ape give you his blood essence first before youlet him go. If not, he'll definitely kill us,” the Rule Soul Avatar cautioned Darren after analyzing thesituation
"Yes, you're right. He has been humiliated today, so once he gets his grandson back, he'll try toregain his dignity and kill us.”
Darren quickly picked up on the avatar's conclusion and addressed the old ape, "Please don't riskyour life, sir, because I will tell my avatar to make an oath with your grandson. If you kill us, yourgrandson will die as well."
The avatar proceeded with using the Oath Rule upon Darren's instructions.
With a weak creature such as the little ape, the Rule Soul Avatar could force any oath on him and killhim directly.
"I swear to you in my name. If we, three people, die at the hands of the Ape Spiritual King, you willdie immediately,”
the avatar vowed. The black oath slithered its way into the little ape's body in an instant.
With that done, the Rule Soul Avatar turned his attention back to the old ape.
Frustration clouded the old ape’s eyes as he realized that the three humans had undermined him.Unable to restrain his sadness, he howled.
The sound echoed back his own grief.
"You dirty humans! This won't end well for you!"
With that, the old ape raised his palm and stabbed it straight to his heart. Ten drops of blood slowlydripped down from his chest and made their way towards Darren. He now had ten drops of thepurest blood of a spiritual beast king.
