"Yahya, my grandson will be upset with me if I hurt you. And so, I will only use forty percent of mypower to fight you. Still, be careful.” The old ape smiled lightly.

"Ha-ha, sir, you can't hurt me if you only use forty percent of your strength. Use your full power,please. Since I'm a holy emperor, I will only use eighty percent of my strength,” Yahya advised."Don't be so overconfident, Yahya!"

Without another word, the old ape released an intense force from his body. His big palmtransformed into many palm shadows, and rushed toward Yahya.

Yahya didn't even dodge the attack. He stood calmly and waited for the palms to land.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of explosions shook the earth and sky! Clouds of smoke and dust erupted from the groundwhere Yahya stood.

"Ah! Grandpa, you hit him too hard.” The little ape was worried and looked at his grandfather withreproachful eyes.

"What a silly boy! He became too confident of his abilities after he reached the Emperor Realm. Whydid he think that he could block forty percent of my strength? He wasn't powerful enough. Heshould have at least dodged," the old ape mumbled as he peered into the dust with the hopes ofseeing Yahya's figure.

"Sir, 1 told you that you could not defeat me.”

All of a sudden, a strong wind dispersed the dust and revealed Yahya's unharmed figure.

"What?! You withstood my blow? You aren't even a little bit hurt?!" The old ape was surprised."Wow, master, you are stronger than before.” The little ape clapped his hands as relief andexcitement coursed through him

"Of course, I'm getting stronger." Yahya smiled and continued, "Sir, you will be able to judge mystrength when I attack you. But be careful!"

Then, he raised his palm and pushed it toward the old ape. His movement was so slow and lightthat it didn't even cause a space fluctuation

However, the old ape's face suddenly darkened, and he retreated a few steps. Then, the old ape'sbody grew by thousands of feet, and he appeared ferocious.

"What?! Is Grandpa using his most powerful strength?" The little ape's eyes widened withastonishment. He knew his grandfather well enough to recognize that his grandfather would neveruse this move unless he was fighting with powerful cultivators in the same realm.

Just then, Yahya's palm pushed through the layers of space and closed in on the old ape

"Howl!"

The old ape looked ferocious as he bared his fangs.

He raised his iron-fists and gathered the strongest power to fend off Yahya's attack.

In the instant that their palms and fists collided, the world fell quiet. But, the layers of space aroundthem were annihilated one by one.

The little ape standing beside was frightened to see the scene. If it hadn't been for his grandfatherand Yahya, who had simultaneously released their power to protect him, he would have diedthousands of times.

The fight lasted for an hour.

In the end, the old ape’s body trembled violently as he backed away. But Yahya stood before thetwo apes, unharmed and composed.

The stronger of the two had been determined in this battle!

"Awesome!" The old ape held his ground, and after some contemplation, he said, "The powers ofthe three Double Cultivation methods have reached a point where the combined power isthousands of times better than that of a single cultivation method. You've become a peerlessmaster.” The old apes body returned to normal size as he spoke. A deep sense of relief reflected inhis expression as he glanced at Yahya.

"I'm flattered, sir. But, I'm afraid I'm not as good as what you say," he looked calm and relaxed as hereplied to the old ape.

"Don’t be so humble. Your strength is enough to fight against the man at the bottom of the sea. Youare superior to most of the other holy emperors. As time goes by, and you continue to cultivatefurther, you will become the most powerful holy emperor in the world. No one can hurt you unlessthey are super emperors.”

"Thank you for the compliment,” Yahya replied with a subtle bow.

"What are you going to do next?" Now that the old ape had witnessed Yahya's strength, he wasconfident that the boy would be strong enough to deal with Darren and his companions. He washoping that Yahya had considered fighting them, especially since Darren had threatened to killYahya at their last encounter.

The old ape hated Darren. Had it not been for the oath between the avatar and his grandson, theold ape would have killed Darren and the others himself.

Now, he could only wait for Yahya to take action.

"Yes, master, do you remember the boy named Darren who came to kill you ten years ago? Mygrandpa tried his best to protect you. However, that bastard used cunning means to acquire tendrops of blood essence from my grandpa. He is really hateful,” the little ape added as heunderstood what his grandfather was talking about.

"My grandchild is right. It appears as though you have to take care of that bastard," said the oldape.

After some hesitation, Yahya replied, "I will fight him for sure. But, I don't understand how apowerful master like you could lose."

The old ape’s face turned red with anger, and he said, "That bastard had a powerful companion whohad mastered the skill of establishing a one-sided oath. So, he restrained me and used my grandsonto force me to surrender. He is really despicable and shameless!"

"Really?" When Yahya heard this, his eyes lit up. "Can you give me more details, sir?" Yahya asked."Okay." The old ape nodded before he shared all the details of the battle that had happened tenyears ago.

After he finished, Yahya smiled and said to himself, "That young man's potential is indeed abovemine. He is certainly the man my masters’ master chose..."

"Master, what do you mean? Why did you praise that bastard?" Fury coursed through the little apewhen he inadvertently heard Yahya's comment.

"You don't understand. We're rivals. It was me in the future who had arranged for Darren's arrival inthis ancient world. With the restrictions on him, it's not been easy for Darren to become such astrong warrior. Besides, he has a lot of secret magical skills, which makes me feel inferior,” Yahyabriefly explained

What Yahya didn't explain was his motivation for arranging this. In fact, Yahya wasn't an evil man atall. When the future Yahya set up the test of "Rivals", he deliberately changed the character of hisyounger self, to ensure that Darren would regard him as a real enemy. Only in this way could thetest of "Rivals" really start.

The little ape found it hard to accept that a Bloody Shura would kill his master.

"That's the truth. But, I will see you as my brother forever. I hope that you live a good life." Yahyapatted the little ape’s shoulder and tried to comfort him.

"But..." The little ape cried even harder.

"Well, that's enough.” The old ape stopped the little ape. "I have sensed energy fluctuation of theShura Force around Darren. Maybe if Yahya killed him, everything would change,” the old apecomforted his grandson.

"Is he really the one who will kill you?" the old ape asked and glanced at Yahya.

"I don't know. I'll know when we have our final battle,” Yahya replied calmly.

"When will that battle happen? I believe that the sooner you do it, the better. If you wait too long,he might grow stronger," the old ape suggested.

Yahya remained silent and peered into the distance.
