Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 1035 Kingsley Appeared
The skeleton general found himself wondering how this human in front of him could possibly gethim out of his master's control. Was he telling the truth or a lie?
These thoughts had completely distracted him.
"Just relax. I'll be using my power to hit the laws on your body, so don't move," Darren said.
The skeleton general heeded Darren's words, knowing fully well that Darren couldn't hurt him withthe forces derived from rules. In fact, even the Shura Force, which came from hell, couldn't becounted as a law force.
Suddenly, a loud explosion wrecked the area.
Darren's power began to surge wildly. It was like an uncontrollable torrent.
It shot out directly towards the skeleton general.
The skeleton general let his body go completely limp.
As he waited, however, something unexpected happened. The moment Darren's force approachedthe skeleton, it suddenly changed direction.
All the power rushed towards the skeleton general's sword instead.
This turn of events had caught the general off guard. He then realized that he couldn't put hissword back anymore.
There was another ominous rumble.
All the forces hammered violently against the sword, battering it from all sides.
Flashes of lightning fell upon the sword, disintegrating the bit of law in it.
Another explosion echoed in the air.
The impact broke the sword into several pieces from where the crack was.
Darren was blown away by the impact of the explosion. His body was flung far away and it wassuddenly covered with bloody holes.
Taking advantage of the situation, Darren immediately retreated and activated his dragon bloodaura. This made him transform into a giant dragon.
It was at this moment that the skeleton general realized he had been tricked. "You despicablehuman!" he shouted. His voice was hoarse.
"Die! I will kill you anyway!"
The sword, which had accompanied him through many battles and had killed countless powerfulenemies, had been shattered! This infuriated the skeleton general beyond words.
This was almost similar to having lost a child.
That bastard!
The skeleton rushed towards Darren. His entire body was enveloped by a black fog.
"Skeleton, it's impossible for you to kill me now without that sword.” Darren's voice rang out. It wasas cold as ice.
"Die!"
Darren's huge claws didn't matter to the skeleton general. He went ahead with his attack.
Instantly, he collided with Darren's dragon claws.
With a wide sweep of his tail, Darren pushed the skeleton back.
It was difficult for the skeleton general to penetrate through Darren's defense at this pointespecially now that his sword was broken.
Even though his bones were almost comparable to the strongest metal, he didn't have the power oflaws. All he could do was drive Darren back for now.
Their fight went on for three days and three nights.
It was becoming obvious that their situation was a deadlock. Neither could kill the other.
"Well, since you can't kill me now, I'll get strong enough to defeat you somehow," Darren sneered. After all, the skeleton general's strength remained unchanged while Darren's could still improve. Hisphysical strength would greatly increase as soon as his realm was promoted as well. With thatamount of power, he would be able to defeat the skeleton general.
"Assimilate.”
As the battle went on, Darren had begun assimilating the spiritual energy of the spiritual energycreatures in his Space Ring
Ten days later, his realm and physical strength had improved significantly.
"I am now at the peak of a senior holy warrior! I can definitely defeat him with this." A feeling oftriumph filled Darren's chest.
However, he didn't really want to kill the skeleton. He only came here to get the armor, and that wasall.
He could simply choose to escape from the skeleton and get to the Magnificent Abyss.
Before, he couldn't possibly be able to get away since his speed and strength back then weren'tenough to flee from the skeleton general.
But now that he had become stronger, he was confident he could leave this battle unharmed.
With that, he flew out of the area.
The next thing, he was now at the other end of the valley. Behind him, the skeleton general followedclosely. Every time he dared get close to Darren, Darren would use his dragon tail to beat him away.A black vortex appeared over the horizon after about a half day's flight.
"That should be the passageway!"
With that, Darren pushed himself to go faster as he flew towards the entrance.
But a mighty force hit him directly.
It forced him to retreat several kilometers back.
An overwhelming pain filled him. His dragon scales around his chest were shattered, forming ablood palm print right at the center.
Ahead of him, a figure stood before him. He couldn't see his face clearly because the figure wasshrouded by a fog.
"Who are you?" Darren asked.
"It seems like I have underestimated your strength. I'm surprised that the skeleton was no match foryou in the end.” The voice sounded strange, but Darren immediately realized that it was deliberatelydistorted to make it sound different.
"You're someone I know, aren't you?" Darren said, confidently.
In his head, a person would only disguise their voice if it was someone he knew.
He thought over it carefully until he stumbled into an astonishing conclusion.
After all, he hadn't known that much people in the eighteen cities. And there was even fewer peoplewho knew that he was in this cave. At this point, the answer was as clear to him as day.
"You are Kingsley!" Darren exclaimed, pointing at the mist.
"Hahaha." A wild laughter broke out and the figure seemed to solidify amid the mist. "You havegood judgment. I'm surprised that you've guessed it correctly.”
"It is you!" Darren stepped back, looking surprised.
"So it turns out that you are indeed a liar! What do you want from us?"
At this point, the skeleton general had finally caught up with him and had launched a violent attacktowards him.
"Fuck off!"
Sensing the skeleton, Darren met the attack with his own furious punch. This sent the skeletongeneral flying across the air until he crashed into a mountain.
"What a rare genius!" Kingsley licked his lips at the display of strength.
"Kingsley, what the hell are you doing here? You said it was for fighting the fiend and for the safetyof human race. So, it was all a lie, right? You really are a despicable person!" Darren gritted his teethas he tried to reign in his anger.
"Humph!"
Kingsley turned around with a snort.
"Do you really think you can defeat the first fiend ancestor with only a few six-tribulation senior holywarriors? You're too naive.
Let me tell you this, no one can defeat the fiend. Reviving my master is the only way to kill him. Infact, even Hiram the Great is no match for him."
"That's bullshit!" Darren's face darkened as he said, "Hiram the Great was able to cut the first fiendancestor into pieces! That was how powerful he was! Your master has lied to you.”
"Bastard!"
Kingsley turned around suddenly and shot a cold glare at Darren.
"My master was a great warrior from the Primitive Wilderness. He promised that once I resurrecthim, he will help the human race kill the fiend, and all our problems will be solved. Everything I'vedone is for the sake of humanity. But nobody can understand that.
But don't worry. Your sacrifices won't go to waste. Your death will bring life to this world," Kingsleysaid. His eyes shone with passion.
"You really are stupid.”
This time, it wasn't Darren who spoke up but the skeleton general.
