Chapter 1049 The Killing Abyss Skill

Darren looked around at the one hundred thousand Killing Rules surrounding him. He realized alltoo late that he had underestimated their strength. His situation began to look grim, but he kept onfighting on.

Amidst his impending doom, four powerful figures suddenly appeared.

"Darren, back away!"

Darren heard Francis shout while he was holding off the first fiend ancestor with all his strength.The four flew straight into the crowd of Killing Rules, tearing through them as they passed, andrushed straight towards the first fiend ancestor.

Simultaneous howls then pierced through the space.

Four beastly shadows appeared on the backs of the four holy warriors. Their sharp claws cutthrough the space with ease, and slashed at the first fiend ancestor.

A nasty sizzling noise could be heard from the slashes.

A sound of skin tearing also rang through as the first fiend ancestor was being torn to shreds by thefour shadowy beasts.

The ancestor's wounds festered—unable to heal.

Everyone knew that he possessed an incredible recovery ability. Otherwise, he would not havesurvived being dismembered by Hiram the Great all those years ago.

The first fiend ancestor began to roar and twist from the pain.

His body was covered in his own blood. This array was no stranger to him. The battle was looking positive until the ground beneath their feet began to rumble violently.

It flew in the air at an inhumane speed. As it swirled, streams of killing aura began to gush out fromall sides, surging violently like a stormy river.

The killing aura gathered more and more until it became an entrance to another world. The fourgreatest holy warriors began to fall through it, and entered into what seemed to be a world madeby blood red rule silk threads. They thrashed around as they got entangled in the mess.

Darren was shocked to see the situation take a turn for the worse. The last time he had witnessedsuch a scene, it was when Mathew showed him his killing sword intent. However, the Killing AbyssSkill he was shown back then paled in comparison to what he was seeing now.

'I'm worried that the four of them won't be able to resist the skill on their own, * thought Darren tohimself.

When the Killing Abyss Skill was performed, it was many times stronger than the hundred thousandKilling Rules.

Darren left a gust of wind in his wake as he headed for the abyss

right before it closed.

The abyss, made of Killing Rules, was unsettling to the four greatest holy warriors and DarrenSurvival felt slim again after they'd just had the upper hand

"Darren, what are you doing here? We told you to back away!"

Francis was frustrated and annoyed to replace that Darren put himself in danger's way once again.They were ready to sacrifice their lives if it meant saving Darren's life. They didn't expect him tocharge straight into the fiend's strongest attack instead the wiser decision—to run away.

If Darren perished now, their sacrifice would be all for naught. Who would protect the human racein the future?

"You've really disappointed me,"

Mario scolded.

Darren knew that the four warriors meant well, so he tried to explain himself calmly, "I can't justwatch you all die to that fiend."

Before he could say anything further, a loud boom rang through the space.

The first fiend ancestor had launched a violent attack of the Killing Abyss Skill, and rushed towardsthem.

"Fight!"

The four warriors merged with their shadows once again and maintained a fighting stance, ready toface the fiend.

Darren quickly reverted back from his dragon form and stood vigilantly in the storm—resisting theKilling Rules.

Explosions sounded as Darren's blade and sword clashed with the oncoming attacks.

They were intangible, and easily pierced through the Killing Rules one by one.

With another loud bang, the fiend resisted the four holy warriors' attacks

while Darren's attack hit its mark

The first fiend ancestor was startled from the possibly fatal attack that met him.

The blade and sword intents were a force to be reckoned with.

The Killing Rules surged like a menacing tide, forming a wall of defense in front of the first fiendancestor.

Losing no steam, Darren's blade and sword continued to quickly cut through the Killing Rules withgreat speed.

Finally replaceing an opening, he went straight for the first fiend ancestor's head.

"Did we finally make it?"

"It's the blade and sword intents of Darren!"

The four warriors were shocked in awe of Darren's immense strength.

Blade and sword intents were easily comprehensible by them, but Darren's abilities had upgradedthe intents to a powerful level they could not understand.

"That move is very complicated and powerful. Could it be from outer space?" Francis whispered.Whoosh!

The blade and sword attacks came crashing down, piercing through the first fiend ancestor'sshoulders. Unfortunately, his black pyramid kept his head protected.

"Let's attack him together. We have no time to waste!"

Seeing the first fiend ancestor severely wounded, the four greatest holy warriors pounced on himwith their sharp claws. They were ready to tear his shoulders right off.

They moved quickly and simultaneously continued their attacks to slow the fiend's healing abilities.Darren suddenly coughed up blood

as he was flying over the first fiend ancestor, ready to strike.

"What happened?”

He winced from a sharp pain in his chest. It felt like a star had hit him while he was flying.

Seeing this, the four warriors turned pale and swiftly retreated backward.

"This is bad!"

The four of them rushed to Darren.

"In this Killing Abyss, any killing intent we use will bounce back at us and injure us in return,” saidFrancis.

"Is that so?" Darren was shocked.

No wonder the Killing Abyss didn't seem like such a big deal. What Francis mentioned just now wasits true power.

They realized that if they wanted to defeat the first fiend ancestor, they would naturally have astrong killing intent. Sensing this, the Killing Abyss would immediately suppress them.

They had to kill the first fiend ancestor in short and meticulously calculated attacks. Otherwise, theKilling Abyss Skill would rebound and kill them

Darren silently pondered for a moment. He could see that the four greatest holy warriors were atwit's end and ready to die using the array. If they died, he wouldn't stand a chance against the firstfiend ancestor all on his own.

'Is escape really our only choice now?" he thought to himself.

Even if they bought Darren time to escape, the Killing Abyss Skill would not be easy to evade. Achance to retreat was not assured.

"There is another way,” Darren murmured.

“What is it?"

"I'm going to activate the thunder punishment of Heavenly Repression,” Darren said. He said thisconfidently, but you could see the worry in his eyes as he declared this. He knew the repercussions."What?"

The four warriors had lived long lives, and hence, they knew well about the Conflicting Cultivation,and knew how terrifying the thunder punishment of Heavenly Repression would be.

"Even if you can resist the fiend using the thunder punishment, what about you? You can't possiblywithstand the thunder punishment!”

If Darren activated the thunder punishment of Heavenly Repression, the thunder punishment wouldbe aimed at himself. As it descended, it could break the Killing Abyss and save them, but do nodamage to the first fiend ancestor. He could easily dodge it.

"In a life or death situation, I can only take risks!"

Darren said firmly. He was decided about triggering the thunder punishment.
