Chapter 1068 A Trace Of The Immortal

The feast continued, but Darren was becoming more and more restless.

A month had already passed since the Water Kylin's last appearance. Something must havehappened to him. Otherwise, he would have replied to his messages.

"Alright. Let us know if you need any help,” Chad offered.

Darren nodded and flew out of the area.

He spread his spiritual sense as far as it could go. It enveloped the Bottom Spiritual Worldcompletely, but he still couldn't replace the Water Kylin.

"Could he be out of the Bottom Spiritual World?" Darren murmured to himself.

He continued with his search until he came upon something suspicious at the Barren Wasteland. Helanded on a clearing in the woods.

There were golden hair scattered all over the ground.

There was a familiar aura hanging in the air. It was the Water Kylin's.

“Something bad has happened to him." As this thought crossed his mind, Darren frowned. The WaterKylin's strength was almost within the Emperor Realm. Who could have that much power to pose asa threat to the Water Kylin?

For a while, Darren was submerged deeply in his thoughts before he came up with a conclusion. Ofcourse, with the Water Kylin's power, only the immortal could do such thing. But it still didn't add upthe fact that there weren't any signs of struggle in here.

“She's here! She's here!"

With no other lead, Darren followed the Water Kylin's aura until he came upon a valley.

He had been here before. This was the place where he came upon the bronze coffin many yearsago. At that time, there were low-level fiends roaming the area with the intent of killing any humansthey encountered.

Walking up to a stone wall, he paused for a moment.

There was a cave engraved on the stone wall. It was where he had hidden himself from the fiends.They couldn't get him from there because the place had a rule power restriction on it.

'Why would the immortal come here? Why did she kidnap the Water Kylin?'

As these questions ran inside his head, he carefully observed the wall. The Water Kylin's aura wentbeyond this wall and through this cave.

Darren tried to enter the cave quickly.

His robes rustled behind him as he moved as fast as he could.

To his surprise, his body smashed unto the wall.

He found himself bouncing back from it.

At the mouth of the cave, bright runes flickered teasingly like stars.

“Those are powerful."

It had never occurred to Darren how powerful the restriction of the cave was. Even now, as a half-step emperor, he was blocked by it.

“But wait. Last time, the young man in black armor almost broke through the restriction. That meansthe runes weren't that powerful then. Someone must have reinforced it recently.’

He finally understood that the immortal most definitely had placed another layer of restriction overthe entrance of the cave. She must be in there somewhere.

However, such restrictions couldn't hold him off for long. After all, his strength was on par with aholy emperor.

With his blade and sword intents, he rushed towards the restriction.

The force of the impact resulted to an explosion.

With only three hits, it finally collapsed. Darren could finally step inside the cave.

Upon entering, he was left stunned by what he saw.

If he could recall it correctly, this cave was supposed to be narrow. But now, he could see the starrysky stretched out overhead.

It was as if he had stepped into another world.

As he flew out, a dark, cold aura wrapped itself around him, almost knocking his breath out of him.Unleashing his spiritual sense, he tried to search for the Water Kylin's remaining aura.

However, the void was too deep. Even with his spiritual sense spread far and wide, he couldn't seemto reach the end of the void. He couldn't replace the Water Kylin's aura.

He was so sure that the immortal was there.

“Could it be that she had found where the bronze coffin is hidden?" He swallowed nervously at thatthought. He could feel his heart hammering wildly within his chest.

'I should probably start working on the secret array passed on to me by the witcher ancestor. Thefaster I do that, the faster I can track down the bronze coffin.’

With that thought, Darren rummaged deep within his memories for the mysterious array.

Inside, his mind was completely filled with a starry sky. It seemed like the bright stars were close athand.

Billions of stars painted the sky. Somehow, those changing stars were all connected to the placewhere the bronze coffin was hidden. Every move of two stars and the moves of three stars broughtabout another set of changes.

The mysterious array was driving him crazy.

It was impossible to keep track of all those changes. He wouldn't be able to figure out the locationof the bronze coffin at this point.

The Rule Soul Avatar could divide his Spirit Power into a million parts, and it would take him at leastten million years to replace out the exact location of the bronze coffin. The probability was too vast.Darren could hardly make out anything from it.

Nonetheless, he couldn't help but admire the power of the witcher ancestor. After witnessing suchmind-boggling array, it showed that the witcher ancestor was more powerful than the Rule SoulAvatar.

Darren could only imagine how powerful the Witch Power was if the witcher ancestor was at thepeak of his strength.

At this point, it was becoming more and more unrealistic for Darren to replace the bronze coffinthrough the array.

This array had undergone some drastic changes after its creation. At this point, even the witcherancestor couldn't restore it.

In the end, Darren had to continue flying around and rely on luck.

Three months later, he still didn't replace anything.

"There's not even a trace of spiritual energy here. It's as if this whole space is just..dead.'

That man claimed himself a Golden Law Enforcer, and he came from the bronze coffin.
