Chapter 1070 Hiram The Great Is Summoned

A gray mist crept up on the ten law enforcers simultaneously until they were out of sight. Slowly, adeath aura then began to emanate from them.

When Darren checked them again, he found that they were marked for death. Their bodies seemedto be made of metal.

Once they passed, the immortal could no longer take their memories.

Sensing this, the immortal burst into anger. She was terribly disappointed in the ten law enforcers."Ah!" she screamed.

She flashed over where they were and smacked the ten law enforcers more than ten thousand timesover.

The ten bodies were sent flying from the sheer force of the immortal. In a frenzy, the immortal usedher full strength to shatter the golden armor that the enforcers were wearing.

"No, this is not good." Darren's heart skipped a beat. "She's going to kill them.”

She had already stolen ninety percent of their memories, and was perfectly capable of replaceing thelocation of the bronze coffin with the information she gathered. The ten law enforcers were as goodas useless to her by now.

'l wonder if I should help them or not? thought Darren, with slight hesitation.

He stopped to think about it for a while. Darren eventually decided it would be best to stay put.Even if he helped the ten law enforcers, their doomed fate was inescapable. Besides that, if Darrenwent out, he would surely die as well.

It seemed wiser to stay alert and follow the immortal in secret. If he tailed her, he'd replace the bronzecoffin, and whoever entered the coffin first would obtain the World Essence.

"Emperor! Descend!"

Ten cold voices spoke menacingly from the side of the battlefield, shaking Darren out from deepthought.

The space began to violently rumble.

The void collapsed, and a blinding cyan light enveloped the ten law enforcers.

Cracking noises rang through the space as

the rumbling continued within a hundred thousand kilometers.

The immortal, feeling the violent power, stepped back.

She stared dead ahead with her beautiful and icy eyes. The cold cyan light complimented her eyesas it danced in her terrifying gaze.

"Back off now! Or I'll kill you!"

The deafening roar of thunder reverberated throughout the whole world.

From the light, a slender young man appeared. He donned dazzling cyan armor and wielded ahalberd with dragon patterns. An air of nobility emanated from him.

"Hiram the Great!"

Darren gasped as he saw the figure. He sensed the same aura that he felt from Hiram's halberd.There was no doubt that the figure's aura was indeed that of Hiram the Great.

The figure of Hiram was not a phantom, but the real deal!

Hiram's aura was much more intimidating than that of a holy emperor. It was no wonder he wasable to suppress the first fiend ancestor. He was indeed one of the rarest geniuses in all of history.The immortal stood frozen in the void and didn't dare make a move. After a while, she seemed tobe speaking with Hiram.

"Never."

Darren could hear that Hiram refused after the short exchange.

"I see you have chosen death.”

Since they hadn't reached an agreement, the immortal was left with no other choice.

Suddenly, beams of immortal radiance fell onto the immortal as they reflected back from her greenattire. Her aura surged at an immense level.

"Law force! That's law force!"

Darren was astonished. From where he was, he could clearly feel that the radiance shone waybeyond the rule. It was a law force that could have only been activated by the immortal herself.

In the mortal world, no one could possibly activate the law force. If anyone ever dared, it would onlycause destruction!

The immortal forced its use. If the space collapsed, her escape would be impossible. She wasn't atrue immortal now, so naturally, she'd be crushed by the law.

Darren thought the immortal must have gone insane. It went to show just how powerful Hiram theGreat was. The immortal perhaps had no other way to fight against him!

"Domineering Halberd!"

Hiram brandished his mighty halberd.

The crackling sound of electricity shot

straight towards the immortal.

The sky was clearly filled with immortal radiance. Hiram dashed forward like an unstoppable force.In the silence, the immortal radiance slowly continued to shatter. The dominating power of Hiram'shalberd then dissipated.

An explosion burst out as the immortal radiance and the domineering power clashed.

The impact force caused millions of stars in the deep void to fall, together with countlessmeteorites. The scene looked like several flaming shooting stars were scattered across the sky.Darren could not defend against the impact and retreated back quickly as he utilized severaldefense methods.

"This is unbelievable! The strength of Hiram the Great and the immortal have both surpassed that ofthe Shura!" Darren compared the strength of the three beings. The Shura could kill Yahya—who wasa holy emperor with three Conflicting Cultivation powers. Hence, it could be surmised that the Shurashould have the power of a super emperor.

Hiram the Great also seemed to match the power of a super emperor.

His power was so great, the immortal had to activate the law force just to be strong enough tobattle him.

Darren took refuge and hid at the other end of the void. From time to time, shock waves wouldreach him.

"Ah!"

Darren heard the immortal roar in pain from the distance.

"Did Hiram the Great win?"

After the painful roar, the void became quiet. Only the sound of some space windstorms ragingrang through.

No voices could be heard, only gusts of wind.

Darren quickly sprinted towards the edge of the battlefield.

He used his spiritual sense to get a feel of the situation.

"What! How could this be?"

Darren was taken aback by what he found.

In the ruins of the void stood Hiram the Great, partially kneeling in the air with his halberd. His bodywas beaten bloody.

Opposite him, the immortal stood proud in the sky. She was spotless, and was standing with perfectbeauty and grace.

"I guess this means the immortal won." A bitter smile cracked through Darren's lips. His expressionwas dim.

Boom!

In an instant, Hiram the Great's body exploded into ten golden lights.

These golden lights shot into the ten Golden Law Enforcers.

"The ten Golden Law Enforcers! So they were the ones who summoned Hiram the Great!"

Only then did Darren realize that Hiram the Great did not actually come back to life back there.Though he looked convincingly enough like the actual Hiram, his body was actually made up of theten Golden Law Enforcers. It was merely a remnant of his soul that was able to burst out his power.Of course, this was only Darren's intelligent guess.

"Let's go!"

The ten law enforcers were seriously injured, but still alive. Since they were unable to defeat theimmortal even after summoning Hiram the Great, they chose to retreat and live to fight another day.In a heartbeat, the ten law enforcers fled in ten different directions.

Darren's heart wrenched. Escape was impossible now. He felt that the ten law enforcers fled in futile.But the next moment, Darren was stunned. The immortal still stood motionless in the air. She didn'tchase after them in any way.

Darren swiftly went back into hiding and observed the situation. After the ten law enforcers haddisappeared, the immortal started to move again.

She tried to step forward, but her steps were extremely unstable as she trembled. After just less thana kilometer, her charming figure left a green imprint of light in the air. She was falling!

Darren suddenly realized that the battle did not leave the immortal unharmed. She was only holdinga strong front, and it seemed that she was actually badly injured!

The only thing that could make an immortal fall from the void was being on the verge of death!Whoosh!

Darren didn't hesitate. He transformed into a purple light and rushed in the direction of theimmortal.

After travelling in the space turbulent flows for only an hour, Darren finally got a clear glimpse ofthe immortal.

Darren's heart began to beat out of his chest.

For so many years, he had hoped he could slay the immortal and save Elsa. He never expected thatday would come like this!
