Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 1189 Ready To Go Back To The Ancestral Land
"I see!" Finally, Darren had the reason why his black god's power had increased slowly as heimproved his cultivation base. It turned out that in order to enhance the black god's power, thePower of Belief was needed.
Now that Darren was a Defiant Master, he was qualified to accept believers. It shouldn't take himlong to fully cultivate the black god's power.
"Very well, Kerr. 1 will allow you to follow me in the future. As long as I rise to power, I will treat youwell." Darren had a hard time containing his excitement.
"Yes, sir.
But there's just one problem. If I don't return home for a long time, the great king may use themaster and slave bond to kill me,” Kerr explained nervously.
"There's no longer a need to worry about that,” the guardian said. "The Defiant Master's status isequal to that of a chief god, so the bond of the Oath of Believer you established with the DefiantMaster is much greater than that of the master and slave bond. As long as Darren doesn't want youto die, your master can't kill you at all, because the chief god's will is above everything!"
"Oh, thank goodness!" Kerr smiled up at the sky. This meant that his life was saved.
"All right. You'd better cure the princess’ injury as soon as possible. After she recovers, I advise youto transfer the entire space with you, or someone might discover it," the guardian informed Darren."Okay." Darren nodded and didn't say anything else. He walked over to Lindsay, who was lying onthe ground, and began to heal her injury.
After three months of rest, Lindsay was much better. The old fiend Otis had almost recovered too."Wow! The level-nine divine weapons are really powerful. You actually used them to kill a warrior atthe peak of the Domain God Realm!" Lindsay said as she stared at the blade and sword that wereglinting in Darren's hands.
"It's not that cool actually. The guardian told me that I didn't even use one ten thousandth of itspower. When I reach a higher realm, I will be stronger with the help of my blade and sword,” Darrenexplained, slowly putting the sword and blade away.
A trace of envy flashed in Lindsay's eyes again. She turned to Darren and said, "You have so manymaterials left. Give some to me. I wouldn't get so hurt if I had a level-nine divine weapon!”
Darren looked at her and smiled.
"I'm not kidding," Lindsay stated seriously. "From now on, we'll fight together. If I have a level-ninedivine weapon, I will be more skilled. It's good for both of us.”
"When did I ever say that I will fight with you? I plan to leave today. You can take this space with youand hide somewhere else,” Darren said calmly.
"You can't!" Lindsay shot up from the ground and grabbed him by the arm. "You must go with me.”Darren gave her a strange look. "Why?" he asked.
"Don’t ask so many questions. It's none of your business. Ugh! Fine! I like it." She rolled her eyes atDarren.
"You like it? Is it because you like me?" Darren teased.
"Come on! Just look at your face. What makes you think I like you?" she said with disdain.
"Phew! You scared me for a second.” Darren patted his chest and exhaled loudly. Lindsay puffed upher chest.
"What do you mean by that? Do you want to die?" Before he could open his mouth to answer,Lindsay was opening her palm and slapping him.
"Ouch!" Darren grumbled in pain, "What a crazy, ugly woman! I definitely should stay away fromyou."
"That's it! You're dead! Don't run away! I'll skin you alive!" Lindsay screamed in anger and began tochase Darren around. He laughed the entire time.
Three days later, in the barren land of the fiend race, four people appeared at the entrance of thevillage.
Darren, Lindsay, Otis, and Kerr swept their eyes over the small village. All around them, blood waspooling and splattered on the walls of stone huts. No matter where they looked, they couldn't see aliving being.
"They are all dead,” Otis commented as his grey eyes filled with tears.
Darren looked at Kerr and his lips pulled back in a snarl.
"Sir, 1 didn't kill them," Kerr said quickly, holding up his hands.
"If it wasn't you, then it must be Derrick, right?" Darren impatiently awaited an explanation.
"No. It wasn't him either. When we came here, we only killed a few people who blocked our way. Wedidn't kill all the villagers. Please trust me," Kerr said in a trembling voice.
"If it wasn't you, who else could have done it?" Darren frowned.
"They didn't do it. Judging from the residual aura of the dead bodies, they must have been killed byBeck,” Otis answered through a wall of tears.
"Who is Beck?" Lindsay snapped.
"He's a leader who takes our blood essence every year. His camp is four hundred kilometers away,"Otis replied.
"Damn it! I'm going to kill him!" Lindsay yelled, squeezing her hands into fists
"Please don't.” Otis raised his hand and stopped her. He then continued, "If you kill him, yourwhereabouts will be exposed. We don't need that kind of trouble right now. We need to leave assoon as possible.”
In fact, Otis felt much more hurt from this than anyone else at that moment, but he was sensibleenough to not take revenge.
"I have an idea. I'm still a fiend general now and they don't know I am Darren's believer. I'll go andbeat him up,” Kerr suggested. He had killed several people in the village before. Now, to makeamends, it made sense that he volunteered to kill Beck.
"That's a good idea. I give you fifteen minutes. Kill him,” Darren agreed, nodding his head.
"Yes, sir!"
Kerr took the order and flew away immediately.
"Princess Lindsay, when this is over, we will go our separate ways," Darren said seriously.
"I have told you so many times, no way.
Don't forget that you once said you would go to the Immortal Land to replace me the empyrean dew,”Lindsay shot back, placing her hands on her hips.
"I'll try my best to do what I have promised you, but I can't replace it for you now. I need to increase mystrength and I need to go to the Ancestral Land first," Darren explained.
"The Ancestral Land? Ha-ha." With a cold smile, she said, "Many people have been kicked out ofthat place. If I'm right, you were also expelled like my father, weren't you? Why do you still want togo back? I don't understand!”
"I need to meet with my friends that have been staying there for almost ten years,” Darrenexplained.
"Okay. But if you are lying, I will despise you forever. In fact, I will go with you just to see. We can'tgo separately anyway."
Darren cast a surprised glance at her and asked, "You always say that we should go together. Haveyou fallen in love with me?"
"Don’t dream of it. You don't deserve my love. I have my own reasons to go with you. You can restassured that I will never harm you. Treat me as one of your friends and let me tag along. Please,”Lindsay said sincerely.
Darren kept silent for a while and finally sighed. "All right. I was just worried that you would be indanger if you went with me. Since you are not afraid, you can go to the Ancestral Land with me. Otisand Kerr can hide in the space left by your father.”
"Great. That's more like it. Good boy." Lindsay patted Darren's shoulder and laughed happily.
