Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 1208 Jefferson Is In
Darren and the others finally arrived at Wilson's territory.
Unable to wait any longer, Jefferson turned to Darren and said, "Make a battle axe for me. Here arethe materials. If you fail me, I'll make sure you'll suffer. So, you better be careful.”
Once Jefferson obtained the level-seven divine weapon, he would become the strongest among thefour major forces. This would give him the chance to rule the entire forest.
"Yes." Darren nodded his head respectfully. Then, he turned to Wilson and asked where the forgingroom was.
"Does this mean you're going to start making the weapon now, Darren?"
"Of course I will. 'm working for Jefferson so I have to act fast.”
"Of course! Come with me!" With that, Wilson led the way ahead.
He brought Darren to an underground weapons room. Inside, there were many furnaces. However, they were cold and old. It seemed like they were abandoned for a long time.
"Sir, are you really going to make a weapon for Jefferson?"
"Of course not. I don't even know how to forge weapons,” Darren admitted. He then paused beforesaying, "Didn't I tell you just now that I'm going to kill him instead?"
"What?" A look of nervousness dawned on Wilson's face. He broke out in cold sweat as fear took ahold on him. "Sir, please consider your choice carefully. His strength is far out of our league. He is inthe middle-level of the Star God Realm. If we act too rashly, we will surely die.”
"Don’t worry. I have a plan.” Determination flowed through Darren's veins. His voice was firm andheld so much confidence. With that said, he sent Lindsay a message with his spiritual sense. Themessage urged her to come to him immediately.
It didn't take long for her to arrive at the weapons room
"What else do you want, Darren? I don't have time for your antics,” Lindsay said.
"Where's the arrogant person I first met? Why are you being so timid now?" Darren smiled playfullyat her.
"Fuck off! Whatever it is you're implying, I'm not afraid of Jefferson. I just don't want to watch youdie. What do you think I will do if you die?" Lindsay looked away from him. There was a bitterness inher voice as she said this.
Darren was stunned by her words. It took him a while to answer. He said, "It sounds weird thatyou're worried about me. Let's just make this clear. We will never be together.”
"What are you talking about? I already told you that I don't like you.” She placed her hands on herhips and continued, "Just tell me what you're planning to do.”
"Very well then. All you have to do is to let Jefferson into your space. Then Saxon will suppress hisstrength so that we can kill him." This was Darren's plan.
"You're such an idiot. I still have no control over my father's space. That means I can't just putpeople in it at will," Lindsay said.
"So? We'll trick him into getting in then. That should be easy.”
"And how will we trick him?"
"Just keep the entrance to your space open. I will replace a way to trick him into going in."
Lindsay looked at Darren with a skeptical look on her face. However, she did what he told her to doand opened the entrance to her space. She placed it in the forging room.
With the entrance ready, Darren took out the materials that Jefferson had given him.
Bang!
A great force smashed those fragments to the ground. Then, he released True Fire to burn somepieces to ashes.
"Go tell Jefferson that I failed,” Darren said to Wilson. Wilson flew out of the room at once.
Shortly after his departure, Jefferson rushed into the room. There was a furious scowl on his face ashe grabbed Darren's collar. He lifted him up from the ground.
"How dare you lie to me? You told me that you know how to make weapons!" Jefferson's eyesflashed murderously.
"Please don't be so angry, sir. There was only a minor issue, but we got lucky in the end,” Darrensaid, reassuringly.
Jefferson then threw Darren down. "What do you mean?" he asked. "All my materials are destroyed. What's lucky about that?"
"Sir, let me explain to you what happened. One of the fragments exploded during the castingprocess because it was too powerful. It's the reason why I failed.
Upon closer inspection, the fragment is indeed a rare treasure. The energy that burst out of it wasabsorbed by the other fragments. So now, we have the chance to cast the level-eight divine weaponwith them!" Darren spun his lies seamlessly.
"Is this true?" Despite his doubts, Jefferson's heart was still expectant. "Then what are you waitingfor? Hurry up and make it then. I'll watch you while you work. But if you fail again, I will cut off yourhead."
"That's not how it works, sir. You have to do it personally so that we can upgrade the materials.”"What? What the hell are you saying?" Jefferson glared coldly at Darren.
"These materials you've given me need to be forged inside my space where there is tremendousforce. However, I am not strong enough to do it. I will need your help to finish the task,” Darrenexplained.
Jefferson glanced at Darren. Upon seeing that humble look on Darren's face, he finally believed hiswords. With that, he agreed to help. Little did he know that Darren was only tricking him.
"Tell me what to do then."
"Just follow me, sir. Here's my forging space.”
Darren pointed at the entrance that Lindsay had made. He even made a gesture of welcome. However, Jefferson shrugged it off. His thoughts were all focused on the divine weapon. He didn'tquestion Darren anymore as he followed him through the entrance
Finally, Darren had Jefferson trapped in the space.
"It's so easy." Darren sighed as he trailed after Jefferson into the space.
"Easy? Stop wasting my time. Just tell me what's next?"
"You're so stupid. Haha." Lindsay then flew over them. She looked at Jefferson, disdainfully.
"What? Who are you?" It was then that Jefferson finally realized something was wrong. He turnedaround and slammed his palm towards Lindsay.
"Humph!" Lindsay already knew that he would try to attack. Fortunately, she had asked Saxon tosuppress Jefferson's power with reincarnation power as soon as Jefferson stepped foot into herspace. So, she wasn't afraid of him anymore.
His palm collided with a loud sound.
At this point, however, Lindsay had released a powerful force that would defend her from the blow. This resulted into a loud blast.
The impact had flung Jefferson's body onto the rocky wall.
"My strength!” It was only then that he realized that something was suppressing his strength. At themoment, his power was only equivalent to that of a warrior at the top-level of the Domain GodRealm.
"Finally, I give you two choices. The first is to become my believer. The other is to die," Darrenannounced. He was standing tall and proud as he looked at Jefferson. He exuded a kind of powerand skillfulness at that moment.
"You lowly human! You want me to surrender to you?" Jefferson gritted his teeth. His prideprevented him from admitting defeat.
Before Darren could move, Wilson rushed in.
He stood before Jefferson and began beating him with his fists. It wasn't long before Jefferson wasbadly injured and beaten into a bloody pulp.
"How dare you talk to our leader like that? You idiot!" Wilson kicked at Jefferson's legs withoutremorse.
The latter only continued to grit his teeth. He refused to show them his pain and agony. However, his eyes remained dark and murderous.
"Wilson, I should have known. Why would you betray me like this?"
Upon seeing Wilson, Jefferson could feel his fury rising up and filling his entire body. He could feelhimself shaking and vomiting blood in anger. He remembered how Wilson was like a dog in hisservice. He was humble and obedient. Who would have thought that Wilson would betray him likethis?
Internally, Wilson was thrilled. He turned to Darren and said, "Sir, I believe that he will not surrenderthat easily. I beg you to allow me to use the Soul Assimilating Bug on him."
The Soul Assimilating Bug was similar to the Immortal Assimilating Bug that Darren had seen in thepast. It could absorb one's God Character, while also causing pain on one's soul.
"You!"
Jefferson murmured. His lips trembled upon hearing Wilson's words.
He had experienced the pain of those Soul Assimilating Bugs. It was back when he was cultivating insome illusion space. Even though thousands of years had already passed, he still shuddered at thememory.
"Very well," Darren agreed.
"Jefferson, you bastard! I look forward to seeing you suffer!" A glint of excitement shone brightly inWilson's eyes as he looked at Jefferson.
