Chapter 1231 Aaron Became Akbar's Disciple
Of course, Finley's argument only gave him another fierce slap on the face. He was forced to behavehimself afterwards and showed respect to Akbar.
What was worse, Darren snatched the Realm-upgrading Elixirs away. Poor Finley got nothingvaluable.
Feeling wronged, he said, "It's just a couple of elixirs. You don't have to take them all!"
Darren cleared his throat and said, "I need these elixirs to help me improve my cultivation base. Ineed them now more than ever.” He then pocketed the elixirs into his Space Ring.
"But what about me, sir? You promised me that you'll help me get back to my normal appearance.Hurry up! I can't wait any longer.”
When Lindsay said these words, Darren and the rest couldn't help but get goosebumps again."Just go out and then turn left,” Akbar said lightly.
"Please don't judge me like that, sir! Everyone wants to look attractive. Besides, you might even likemy pretty face!"
Akbar then rolled his eyes.
Then he said, "Just go out and turn left. There's a spiritual pool five kilometers from here. Soak in itfor half a month, and it will help you suppress whatever toxins in your body for about twenty years. So, go and hurry up.”
"Really? If this works, I will do my best to pay you back!" Lindsay smiled brightly.
"Go now!" the three men shouted in unison.
Before she could even say anything more, Darren and the others stopped her. Their reaction wasenough to startle her and effectively stopping her from saying anything else.
"You bastards! Just you wait until I get back my fabulous appearance. Your eyes will pop out of theirsockets!" Lindsay pounded her fist on the table and then left.
"You ugly woman! No matter what happens, you'll still be ugly,” Akbar grumbled. He didn't evenbother looking at her original appearance with his god's power. So he didn't know how beautifulshe actually was.
"Well, we're almost done drinking now. I will take you to see that boy,” he said.
"You go first. I want to eat some more. The dishes here taste so good." As he said this, Finley keptdigging into the purple dish served in front of him.
"The evil spirit has been practicing for so long so it tastes great,” Akbar said lightly.
"What did you say? Are you telling me that this is the flesh of that evil spirit?" Finley asked. Hesuddenly stopped eating.
"That's right. It's delicious, isn't it?"
"Oh my God!"
Finley's face paled immediately. He turned his head to the side and began vomiting. Meanwhile, theexpression on Darren's face was the same as Finley's. It seemed like he had also tried the disheshimself.
"What's happening?" Aaron shouted.
Tears welled up in his eyes upon seeing Darren and Finley.
"It's nothing. Everything will be fine, so don't be afraid, Aaron," Darren said. He patted his headcomfortingly.
"Tell me, is this old man bullying you? Did he beat you?" Finley asked, squatting down beside him"No. Grandpa treated me very well. He even kept the monsters away from me," Aaron said.
On the other side, Akbar was feeling a bit awkward. He and Darren were like brothers now, but thislittle boy called him Grandpa. It was humiliating.
He hesitated for a second or two before he transformed himself into a young lord. He then walkedup to the others.
"Aren't you ashamed of yourself for pretending to be a young man?" Finley mocked. He smiledsarcastically.
Once again, he received another slap on the face.
The impact was so hard that Finley flew out of sight.
"Hey little one. Stop calling me Grandpa from now on. Call me master instead, okay?" Akbarsquatted down and smiled at Aaron.
Aaron shot Darren a look as if asking for his opinion. Of course, calling somebody master had adifferent meaning, and so he wanted Darren's thoughts on this first.
"Listen, Aaron. Why don't you stay with him for now? You'll learn more from him."
Darren knew that it was dangerous for Aaron to follow him around. He could get killed at any time."Darren, are you afraid that I might become a burden to you?" Aaron asked sadly. He looked like adeflated balloon as he said this.
"That's not it. I'm only afraid that I may not protect you all the time. So, I want you to stay here so Iwon't have to worry about you. Can you do that for me?"
"But I'm worried about you, too. I want to stay with you," Aaron protested. It looked like he wasabout to cry.
The kid's words warmed Darren's heart. He touched Aaron's head and said, "Aaron, you know myabilities, right? Everything will be fine. I can protect myself. Someday, you can protect me when youbecome stronger. By then, I'll come back and take you with me, okay?"
"Alright. I know that you're the best. I will stay here and cultivate hard. I'll be strong enough toprotect you in a few days," he claimed confidently.
"Good boy! Now go and kowtow to your master!" Deep down, Darren could feel a slight squeeze inhis heart. He was reluctant to leave Aaron, too.
Aaron nodded his little head. He then turned to Akbar and knelt down on the ground. He kowtowedthree times to him.
"Good, good! Get up, my good boy. I will hand down all my unique skills to you. You must learnthem carefully. If you dare slack off, I will kick your ass.”
"Yes, master. I will study hard and will become as awesome as Darren!" Aaron nodded his headvigorously.
"Very good! I'm sure you will. In fact, I won't be surprised if you'll be stronger than him in thefuture,” Akbar said, smiling.
He then arranged a place where Aaron could cultivate his skills. Upon bringing the kid there, he toldhim to sit down and be quiet for a while. They would begin their training later.
"It seems like fortune smiles down upon me this year. I met two persons I can rely on," Akbarwhispered to himself.
"So now, I'll go straight to the point. I'm here because I pissed off a major clan. I'm heading to theNinth Precipitous Mountain now. Since it seems like we're destined to meet each other, can youhelp me with my problem first?" Darren told Akbar as they walked along a stream.
"No." Akbar refused without a second thought.
"Why? Are you afraid of getting involved?" Darren asked playfully.
"What are you talking about? It's just a clan. How much trouble can you cause? I can't help youbecause I'm not allowed to leave this place. But if you can bring the enemy here, I will beat them upfor you no matter who or what they are!" Akbar proclaimed.
"That sounds great. Then I'll just stay here and wait for the Xiling Clan to come for me. In this way,we can face them together.” Darren was satisfied with this plan.
"What a wishful thinking! I can let you stay here for a month at most. After that, you must leave.”"Come on! Don't do this to me. Your house is big enough to house us all. Don't be so mean.”"That's easy for you to say. But if you stay here all your life, then you'll turn into a weak loser in thelong run. What use will you be to me then? You'll only grow stronger if you're in danger. Don't youknow that?
If you ever get unlucky and die, I'll bring your body back and bury it. We're buddies after all. Sonow, just go,” Akbar said.
"Really? You're too good to me.”
"One month is enough. I won't let you stay any longer."
"Fine then. I get your point. A comfortable environment won't turn me into a master.” Darren hadundergone a lot and had grown a lot as well. So, he knew what Akbar was talking about.
"That's right.” Akbar nodded and then muttered to himself, "If I let you stay here, I might get myselfin trouble as well." Darren was a Defiant Master. He also had an amazing weapon in his pocket. Ifpeople learned that he was here, they would have to deal with a lot of enemies here soon.
Half a month passed by.
"Sir, I've searched through this low-level warrior's memories. That Defiant Master has headed to theNinth Precipitous Mountain!" It took Davis half a month to gather this information.
"Do you know which route he took?
There are three ways to get to the Ninth Precipitous Mountain."
"I don't know, sir. He's just a lackey so he doesn't know much about it."
"Humph. Go back then and summon our clan's top warriors. We'll split up and catch that bastard.”"Ancestor, should we let the others know that we're going to capture the Defiant Master?"
"Just tell them that we're going to catch a traitor. You don't have to worry about anything else. I'lltry replaceing him from a different route.”
"Copy that."
In an instant, Caleb transported himself to the route that Darren had most likely used.
He began to fly as fast as he could manage. In his head, he knew that if the Defiant Mastersuccessfully went into the Ninth Precipitous Mountain, even he wouldn't dare go directly into it tocapture him.
