Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 1250 Go To See Lord Starry Sword
Since Darren had killed a member of the Blood Abyss Sect, Murphy decided to send a message tothe Starry Sword Region. It was a significant incident, and he didn't dare to keep it to himself."Murphy, what do you know about the Blood Abyss Sect?"
"It is a huge organization of killers with disciples all over the Primitive Wilderness. It's the strongestforce in addition to the nine regions and ten prefectures.”
"So, their leader must be a cultivator of the Superior God Realm, right?"
"Of course. The leader of Blood Abyss Sect is a master at the top-level of the Superior God Realm. But, he isn't the only one to be wary of. The sect has many masters at the Superior God Realm. Aslong as the payment is tempting, they will kill anyone for you, even the leader of a region!" Murphyexplained.
"Huh!" Darren was astonished. He didn't expect the Blood Abyss Sect to be such a powerfulorganization.
"But you don't have to worry. After all, only a low-level assassin came after you. It is possible thatthey will disregard the incident and won't trouble you,” Murphy tried to comfort Darren.
"I hope so. This was the work of the Gambling King, and I will seek revenge when I am ready,”Darren lifted his chin and declared coldly.
"Let's worry about all that later. Come with me."
Darren nodded and followed Murphy out of the secret room.
After a while, they entered another secret room in the middle of which stood an altar with severalswords of different colors.
"I'm going to send an image of your soul back to the region. Just explain the situation.”
Darren was a little nervous, and he wondered whether Lord Starry Sword would still accept him ashis disciple once he learned of his identity as a Defiant Master.
"Relax your soul, and follow my instructions," Murphy directed with a reassuring smile.
After completing the preparations, he started to motivate the altar.
Murphy sat cross-legged with his eyes closed. After he mumbled a few secret words, the swords onthe altar began to rotate, and the space around it began to twist.
A moment later, a streak of purplish-yellow light enveloped Darren and Murphy. In an instant,Darren felt as though his soul was beginning to float out.
He felt dizzy as his soul was drawn out of his body. Finally, darkness washed over him
He had no idea how long he had been in that state. Eventually, a ray of light flashed, and a strangescene appeared before him.
Darren was floating in the air, and in front of him was a magnificent palace shaped like a sword. Hecould feel numerous swords against his chest just by glancing at it.
"How spectacular! Is this the Starry Sword Region?" Darren murmured.
"This is the Starry Hall where most of our masters cultivate. There are twelve floors in this hall. Thehigher the floor a cultivator stays on, the stronger he is. Lord Starry Sword cultivates on the twelfthfloor all year round.”
Darren nodded. Everything before him was so overwhelming that he needed to take several deepbreaths to remain calm.
"Follow me."
The two headed toward the Starry Hall. In front of them was a huge square shrouded in clouds andmist.
Along the way, Darren saw many people in the square, but he couldn't sense their breath. They werelike deadwood.
Some of them were covered with dust. It was evident that they had been cultivating motionlessly forseveral years.
"Are they disciples of the Starry Sword Region?"
"Hush!" Murphy pressed his finger on his lips, and then he said to Darren with his spiritual sense,"They are ascetic cultivators. They have been in cultivation for hundreds of years. Some of themhave been cultivating for tens of thousands of years, and some even longer. They don't stop untilthey reach a breakthrough.”
"This is impressive," Darren exclaimed as astonishment coursed through him.
"Don’t be so wonderstruck. To be honest, their progress depends on their talent. If you're talented, the time taken to reach a breakthrough will be shorter,” Murphy sighed.
"That's true. But I have a feeling that these cultivators are strong,” Darren replied via his spiritualsense.
"You're right. Each of these disciples has reached the low-level of the Celestial God Realm. The sameas me. However, they have the power to defeat me in a second if they chose,” Murphy added."Wow! That is incredible.” Driven by curiosity, Darren secretly released his god's sense and checkedthe number of cultivators in the square. To his surprise, there were hundreds of thousands ofcultivators.
Hundreds of thousands of ascetic cultivators at the Celestial God Realm were practicing in a squaresimultaneously. What a powerful force it was!
Murphy had shared earlier that the hall had twelve floors, but these ascetic cultivators were onlyallowed to cultivate in the square. They were not permitted to enter the first floor.
Darren could only speculate on the power and strength needed to be eligible to cultivate in the hall.Murphy guided Darren across the square, and up the thirteen thousand and six hundred stairs madeof white marble, to reach the gate of the hall.
"What can I do for you, Murphy?"
A white-haired young man appeared in front of the gate and looked at them with no emotion in hisvoice or on his face.
"Sir, this is a disciple selected by Lord Starry Sword in the mortal world. I've brought him to register,"Murphy cupped his hands and replied respectfully.
As the young man shifted his gaze toward Darren, a cold feeling swept through Darren's body."Wait here," he commanded.
Then he disappeared. Darren and Murphy exchanged glances and waited at the gate in silence. Twohours passed, but no one showed up again.
Murphy became a little impatient. He frowned and peered anxiously into the hall from time to time."Why do they make us wait? What's going on?" he complained.
"It's okay. Take it easy,” Darren said. He was more relaxed than Murphy.
"We only got four hours before we have to return. If they make us wait longer and we run out oftime, then we will have to leave,” Murphy explained.
Darren's brows lifted as understanding coursed through him. Although he knew why Murphy wasbecoming impatient, there was nothing they could do but wait.
Another hour passed by before the white-haired young man finally reappeared.
He didn’t say anything. Instead, he kept his gaze on Darren, reached out with his right hand, andsignaled him to enter.
"Go ahead, Darren. I'll wait for you here." Murphy finally relaxed.
"Okay."
Darren nodded before he turned to follow the young man inside the hall.
As soon as he stepped in, he saw a wall on which there were tens of thousands of entrancepassageways.
Darren continued to trail the young man as he strode through one of the entrances. As they walkedthrough the gallery, they would pass by small caves, each with a cultivator sitting in meditation."Sir, did Lord Starry Sword summon me?" Darren couldn't help but ask after walking for a while."Keep silent,” the young man instructed as he continued to move forward.
He didn't even turn to look at Darren as he spoke.
"Leave us alone."
Finally, a voice from the deep broke the silence.
The young man bowed. After paying his respects, he shifted to the left and stood still. His breath oflife completely disappeared.
A beam of light flashed in front of Darren. It dazzled so brightly that he was unable to keep his eyesopen. A slender figure walked along the light and neared Darren.
"Release your Starry Tower," the figure commanded.
When Darren slowly opened his eyes, he saw a graceful young man with long black hair standing infront of him. It was the young man with black and white swords in his eyes!
"Greetings, master.” Darren bowed with cupped hands and then released the Starry Tower.
"Darren from the Lothlann Continent?" Lord Starry Sword murmured.
"Yes, master," Darren replied respectfully.
"You're here earlier than I expected.”
"I'm quite astonished that you still remember me, master,” Darren remarked. He spoke candidly.
"I have one hundred and eight thousand disciples, all of whom were selected by my avatars. Ofcourse, I remember each one. Come here."
Lord Starry Sword lifted his hand, and both he and Darren disappeared.
