Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 1319 The Game Had Started

There were still five days left before the hunting game started.

Darren had no intention of going out before the game began. He decided to continue hiscultivation on the square.

On the other side, Finley was so bored out of his skull that he started browsing through the rules ofthe hunting game.

"The rules are surprisingly simple. You can get the corresponding points when you kill a beast, andthe one who gets the most points wins," explained Finley.

"That's it?" asked Lindsay. It was much easier than she'd imagined.

"That's really all there is. The rest just follows the usual rules. In the hunting game, any participantcan kill one another to take their points,” added Finley.

"I knew that. But don't worry, we'll rack up enough points for the top three." Lindsay was quiteconfident in Darren's current strength.

"Don't get too comfortable. We have to stay cautious. We can't afford to take any risks with this,”cautioned Darren calmly.

"Don't worry. It's absolutely no problem,” replied Lindsay with a spirited giggle.

Five days seemed to pass in the blink of an eye. It was about time for Darren and the otherparticipants to enter the hunting ground.

"Attention! All the participants, gather around!”

An elder was sent out by the branch of the Tussle Holy House.

More than ten thousand young cultivators made their way to the square and instantly lined up.These were only the participants from this area, and there were more than forty areas covered. Thatwas to say, the total number of the participants should be no less than five hundred thousandpeople.

Half a million young cultivators all fought for the quota of the Tussle Contest. It was set to be abloodthirsty game.

"Everyone, get ready!”

the elder roared, as a space door appeared in front of him and opened.

"Enter the hunting ground in an orderly fashion. Remember, you only have one day to know yourway around there. During the first day, no cultivator will be able to attack you. After the first day, however, this protection will expire,” the elder instructed.

All the participants followed the order of the queue and entered the space one at a time.

Darren, Finley and Lindsay followed the other participants into the space, and a lush, untouchedforest unfolded before them.

"I can't even sense where this forest ends."

"Wow, there are so many powerful beasts!"

Within a radius of several hundred kilometers, there were hundreds of beasts whose power couldcompare with the cultivators at the top level of the Star God Realm. A handful of them had powerthat was not much less than that of the cultivators at the Celestial God Realm.

"Where are the others?"

asked Lindsay. She tried to use her god's sense to detect them, but didn't pick up on anyone elseaside from the three of them.

"This place is much too vast. I guess the Tussle Holy House separated the participants from oneanother on purpose,” replied Darren.

"Yes, I agree. By doing so, they're probably preventing the powerful participants from killingthousands of other participants right away,” said Finley, nodding.

"Anyway, we've got the whole day to relax. Let's walk around and make preparations for tomorrow,”said Darren calmly, as he began to take in the scenery.

After a little discussion, they decided to trudge deep into the forest.

They were quick on their feet, and took mental notes of where the beasts gathered as they wentalong their way. They sorted out the information, remembering which beasts they needed to avoidand which beasts they could easily kill.

After they had investigated for more than one thousand kilometers, they finally met one of theother participants of the hunting game.

"Damn it! What terrible luck!"

It was a chubby young man in his twenties with a round face. He was sitting on a piece of deadbark, sighing.

He was initially surprised to see Darren and the other two, but he calmed down after a secondthought. He remembered that they couldn't attack each other yet.

"Hello! Nice to meet you!" The chubby young man smiled awkwardly, nodding and bowing as hespoke.

"What are you shouting about? Excuse me? Do we know each other?" said Lindsay, as she rolled hereyes at him

The fat man was about to shoot a mean look in the direction of the voice, but found an extremelybeautiful woman in front of him. He was dumbfounded by the sight.

"Hello there, gorgeous.” He was so flustered that he couldn't help but blush and tremble.

"What the hell are you looking at? Look away right now, or I'll dig your eyes out!" Finley, unhappywith someone else looking at his girlfriend, silently stared knives into the fat man.

"Oh! Uh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it." The fat man came back to his senses and lowered his head atonce.

"Hey, nice to meet you. I heard you sighing just now. If you're so afraid, why did you come and takepart in the hunting game?" asked Darren, curiously.

"Alas!" The man sighed and said, "I never wanted to take part in this game, but the old dog at homemade me do it. The thought is killing me, truly.”

"Who is this old dog?" asked Darren, holding back his laughter.

"Who else could it be? He's my master,” the fat man said casually.

"Ha-ha." Without a care, Lindsay and Finley suddenly burst into laughter in unison. It was hilariousthat this young man called his own master an old dog.

Darren, on the other hand, managed to keep a poker face. He continued, "With your strength, evenif you can't win the top three, you can at least protect yourself, right?"

In fact, Darren had sensed from the very beginning that the chubby man was exceptionally powerfuland wielded special god's power. He was by no means just an ordinary cultivator.

"Whatever, I don't care.” The man sighed again. "By the way, my name is Weber Fan. If you don'tmind, maybe we can team up for now?"

"We don't need more allies. I mean no offense, but you can't go with us,” said Finley, immediatelyshooting down the offer. He didn't really have the best first impression of the young man to beginwith.

"Buddy, please think about it. We can look after each other if we go together. Why not?" Weber Fanraised his head to look at Finley and smiled.

"Stop right there. I've also got a problem with your stupid fat body. I don't want you anywhere nearme," cut in Lindsay. She wasn't very fond of this fat guy.

In reply, Weber Fan shrugged his shoulders and said, "Okay. Never mind then. I'm going to go replace aplace to hide."

"Darren, come on. Let's go," Lindsay shouted back as she began walking ahead.

"I'm coming,” Darren replied with a nod and walked on with them.

"How interesting.” After the three of them disappeared and were out of Weber's sight, he finally letout a long and hearty laugh. The expression on his face was completely different from what theysaw a moment ago.

Their first day in the forest passed by in a flash.

Once night came, the tranquil silence of the forest was suddenly broken.

All kinds of ferocious cries burst out one after another, which was only more frightening to hear inthe darkness of the evening.

Around this time, Darren was taking a break on a giant tree with Lindsay and Finley.

"Be careful. The first day has passed, and that means we may be attacked at any given moment,”reminded Darren, with his eyes still closed.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

He had hardly finished his sentence when several black shadows swooped through the tall trees anddashed straight for Darren and his two companions.

Darren quickly unsheathed his sword and swung it forward.

In the blink of an eye, dozens of corpses thumped to the ground.

"Monkeys," said Darren.

"Yes, they were at the low-level of the Star God Realm. No threats to us,” scoffed Lindsay, aftercasting a glance at the dead monkeys on the ground.

Finley felt a little embarrassed by these comments. Given his current strength, he could only dealwith one monkey at most.

"Hey, our killing token is on. That's already forty-three points in total.”

This token was given to the participants before entering the forest. It was used to record the killingpoints they obtained in the hunting game.

Of course, it was different from a killing stone. At least this way, it could prevent participants fromlying about their points.

"Look! Why are there so many words here?"

Lindsay noticed a line of words snaking around the left side of the token.

Darren immediately unleashed his god's sense to analyze it, and instantly the numbers were tens ofthousands of times larger in his eyes

"The first place, three thousand and five hundred points. The second place, three thousand andthree hundred points. The third place, three thousand two hundred and ninety-five points..."

It seemed the numbers were placed in order. It showed the points the participants received in realtime.

"This should be the ranking list. I didn't expect that someone would've racked up three thousandand five hundred points by now. We need to work harder,” murmured Darren.
