Chapter 1365 The Giant Beast
Finally, someone admitted it. However, the twenty people were still adamant about blaming Darren."Beat them!"
the other people shouted. They were not stupid and could tell right from wrong. It was useless forthe twenty people to blame Darren anymore.
Everyone else was infuriated, and they violently attacked the twenty people.
They beat them black and blue to vent out their anger.
"Fuck off! You don't deserve to stay in the team.”
Then, the crowd expelled the twenty people.
"Darren, we were too reckless before. I hope you can forgive us.”
"Alas, we only listened to one side. We didn't even try to hear you out. It's all our fault.”
Many people were ashamed and rushed toward Darren to apologize.
"Forget it."
Darren did not blame them for their actions.
Boom!
Suddenly, specks of sand began to rain down from the sky.
The creatures stirred.
It was a gigantic python about a thousand feet in length. On its back was an enormous pair ofwings.
"Do we have to kill these strange creatures to obtain the inheritance?"
Everyone stared at the gigantic beast before them, terrified.
They felt that this thing, at the very least, had strength comparable to that of a warrior at theSuperior God Realm! It was very likely that it was at the top level of the Superior God Realm.
How could they possibly defeat it?
Shock and despair loomed in everyone's hearts. It would be so easy for the python to crush them todeath. How could they best this opponent and achieve the coveted inheritance? Was it evenpossible?
Just then, many stones fell off of the pythons body. It suddenly opened its piercing, red eyes andscanned the crowd around it.
"Roar!"
The python opened its bloody mouth and looked up at the sky, breathing out dark yellow energy.Everyone turned deathly pale. Terror captured their hearts.
Darren and his friends were no exception.
"Darren, I'm so scared!" Sally was a timid girl, and she had never seen such a horrible, giant beastbefore. She was on the verge of tears once more.
"Don't be afraid.” Weber stood in front of her, shielding her with his body.
Weber wasn't putting on a show. He genuinely wanted to keep both Sally and Beatty safe. The twowomen sensed this and became grateful to Weber.
Darren was very uncomfortable with the vibrations that the python was putting out. However, hefelt in his heart that they were not in any real danger. Their masters must have already known aboutthis. Otherwise, why would they send out their young talents?
Who would be willing to send their disciples to their doom?
The python breathed out the dark yellow energy, waking up completely. It reared its massive headand shot up straight into the air.
Its huge body stretched out and seemed to close the gap between heaven and earth. Everyone wasin awe of its sheer size.
Boom!
The space vibrated, and the python's huge body began to dive down.
"Damn it! We are doomed!"
The impact of its fall alone was sure to kill many people. Who could withstand its great power?Everyone became desperate.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, the python opened up its huge mouth and took a deep breath. Over ten people werelifted off the ground, and headed towards the python's mouth.
However, to everyone's surprise, instead of falling into the python's mouth, the people werewhisked up to the top of its head.
Whoosh!
The python turned back and flew into the distance, quickly disappearing from everyone's sight.gy
Boom! Boom!
The ground shook even more as the other beasts began to wake up from their slumber. The samething happened. Each beast whisked away more than ten people and flew off into the distance."So they're not going to hurt us?"
Everyone was confused. They were still fearful, because they did not know where the others hadbeen taken.
Soon, almost every single one of them had been taken away by the giant beasts.
Only Darren and his companions were left behind.
"Damn it! Why haven't they taken us? Is there something wrong with us?" Weber was excited andlooked forward to sitting on the giant beast, but the beasts flew away one after another without anyintention of taking him away. He was disappointed by this.
"Let's wait for a while. We will also be taken away.” Darren looked calmly into the distance.
"I wonder what kind of beast will take us. I'm looking forward to it," Lindsay murmured.
"I'm guessing that it will be the nine-headed dragon. Look at it! It looks so powerful!" Finleyadmired the huge nine-headed dragon in the distance, his eyes full of expectation.
"Wow, really? I'm looking forward to it." Sally wasn't that scared anymore.
Darren and the others stood there, waiting.
A few hours had passed, but there was still no sign of the beast that was going to take them away.Dust and sand had settled on their bodies, tinging their skin gray.
"Why hasn't it come yet?"
Weber's dust-covered face was scrunched up, visibly annoyed.
"I don't know. Have we been abandoned?" Finley stared blankly into the distance.
"Darren, should we still wait?"
RYest:
Twenty hours passed.
"Darren, should we still wait for the beast?"
"Let's wait a little longer, okay?" Darren was losing his confidence, but he didn't want the group toknow that.
Two days passed.
Darren and the others were completely covered in dust. They looked into the distance helplessly."We really have been abandoned..."
"This is unfair! Why didn't a giant beast come and pick us up?"
"Look! Something is coming!"
Suddenly, they saw a black dot in the horizon. It was flying toward them
"Hal It is coming!"
"I don't know what it is, but it must be the best beast of them all!"
"It's moving so slowly..."
Hours passed and the black dot had only moved a few kilometers.
"Forget it. Let's fly towards it."
Darren had no choice but to fly over with his companions.
When they got closer, they saw what it was.
It was a turtle. No wonder it took so long to get to them!
What was more, the turtle was small and old. He was half the size of all the other giant beasts theyhad seen.
He also lacked a leg.
The three-legged turtle swayed at an appallingly slow speed.
Darren's face darkened and when he looked at his companions’ faces, he saw that they weredumbfounded by the animal.
When the turtle saw Darren and the others, he opened his mouth and raised his head to roar. However, instead of a roar, a low, crackly growl came out of his throat. He sounded like a dying, oldman taking his last breath.
"Oh my God! Is this for real?" Weber said disgustedly.
The turtle crawled over and released the god's power, trying to roll Darren and the others onto hisback.
The first one to land on the turtle's back was Weber. As soon as Weber stepped on his back, theturtle fell flat on the ground.
Weber was stunned, wondering if he really was that heavy.
Darren and the others also landed on the turtle's back.
"It's so crowded. Weber, can you move away from me a little?" Finley said, pushing Weber away.Weber's face darkened. He was nearly pushed off of the turtle's back. "You can't blame me for beingfat! It is all this turtle’s fault! He's too small!" Weber thought.
The turtle got up and trudged along forward. Darren and the others noticed that he seemed verytired, and they felt sorry for him. They did not want to make any sudden movements that mightharm the turtle. Suddenly, they saw something.
"Hey, old turtle! There is a cliff ahead. Stop!"
"Don’t push, don't push! I'm about to fall from the turtle!"
Bang!
In a flash, Weber fell down.
To make matters worse, the turtle was startled and toppled over, crushing Weber underneath him.The others flew up the moment the turtle fell down.
Everyone looked pitifully at the turtle that was struggling but was unable to stand up. They felt evensorrier for Weber whose face was still pressed under the turtle.
"Why are we so unlucky?"
Everyone couldn't help but sigh.
