Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 1470 Shock The Deputy Gods
Grady felt so humiliated he wanted to hide under a rock and wish this moment out of existence. Heshouldn't have pretended to be so calm a moment ago; it would be the greatest shame of his lifethat he was injured by a young man at the Celestial God Realm.
Even if he won this battle, no one would remember that he defeated a warrior at the Celestial GodRealm if people knew of his injuries. They'd only speak of how he had been injured by that warrior. His fears were rightly placed, as bad news always traveled faster than good one.
"Damn it!" Grady yelled to himself. The thought of this had made him terribly upset.
"You son of a bitch! How dare you use a hidden weapon to attack me?" Grady was trying toinsinuate that Darren had deliberately not put all the power he could have into the first few SpiritualFlying Swords, but accumulating his strength to use on the last one. He had definitely played ashrewd trick on him.
They had agreed on using their own strength only, but Darren had broken the rule!
"Where is your shame, Grady? Did Darren actually use a hidden weapon? He released the sixSpiritual Flying Swords in front of your very eyes. You just can't defend against them and now you'resaying he is despicable and used a hidden weapon? You are the despicable one.”
"Ha-ha. How could somebody so shameless deserve to be alive in this world?"
"If I were you, I would have killed myself a long time ago. All you're doing is making your ancestorsashamed. This is truly horrible.”
The three men seized this opportunity to hurl insulting words at Grady, sneering as they did withtheir joy in it obvious on their faces. He was such a hateful and vicious creature, so it was littlesurprise that they enjoyed humiliating him with these remarks.
"Arrrrrrgh!”
Grady roared like a beast as he erupted in extreme fury.
A silver light began creeping up his right arm, soon covering it entirely and creating a metal arm!"I'm going to rip you apart!"
With a ferocity on his face that he had not displayed before, he vanished from where he stood andlaunched a fatal blow at Darren.
Darren closed his eyes, the strike barreling down on him.
"What is he doing?"
the onlookers asked in confusion. Not only had Darren closed his eyes, but he had withdrawn hisgod's sense as well.
How could he hope to fight back like this? Not using his god's sense to catch the enemy's figurewas basically asking for his own life to be taken
"We can't just stand by and let him die!"
Someone from the sideline wanted to help. He had been ordered to take the patriarch of the ChuClan back alive, but what was he to do now?
He activated his god's power with the intention of blocking Grady's attack and helping Darrensurvive. But then, Todd, who had been watching the battle silently from the other side, raised hissword across the man, blocking his way.
"Todd, are you just going to stand here and watch this guy die?" The man was forced back by astream of sword intent and glared at Todd intensely after regaining his composure.
He wondered if Juan had already benefitted from this guy and did not care whether Darren lived ornot. That was why Todd had stopped him.
Another man was about to jump in on seeing that Grady was about to hit Darren.
"Do not move. Let him defeat Grady on his own," Todd said, using his sword intent again on thesecond man to bring him to a halt too.
"What are you talking about? You think he can defeat Grady? You must think we're idiots if youthink we'll believe that."
None of them believed it one bit. The guy had closed his god's sense and eyes and just stood thereawaiting his death. How could he defeat his opponent like that?
"Why are you so impulsive, wanting to act so rashly? I wonder if you guys deserve to still be knownas deputy gods..." Todd said shaking his head in disappointment with these warriors. He wasconfused as to how they had managed to obtain such a high cultivation base.
"You!" the three of them shouted at the same time. They were just about to break through Todd'sobstruction when the scene before them changed.
Boom! Boom!
Explosions rang out and a transparent divine sword appeared out of nowhere, dancing in the airwith suffocating power.
The way it moved seemed complicated and chaotic, yet it moved according to some perfect order. They were all dumbfounded by the appearance of such a sword.
Where did this sword formed by sword intent come from? Did that brat release it?
How was that possible? Although it was weak, there was a trace of the aura of the supreme godattached to the transparent sword.
"Ah!"
A sudden shriek pierced the sky and a bloody figure fell, hurtling to the ground.
Was it Grady? He lost.
He had used all his real strength and lost!
The sword formed by the sword intent did not dissipate even when Grady was defeated, butinstead, it speedily rushed over to his body tumbling through the air.
If it hit Grady, he would die, without a doubt.
Bang!
As the sword struck his body, Grady immediately activated the Archean shield. The sword explodedand could no longer cause him any harm.
It did not stop him from continuing to fall and crashing into the ground heavily. He tried to standup again but his knees were weak and gave in under him as he fell to the ground once more. Therewas no strength left in his horrifically injured body.
A silence then overtook the entire area, and not even the sound of wind could be heard.
Darren flew over and landed in front of Grady in his battered and destroyed state.
"Now you know what it's like to be a loser. Do you feel ashamed? You should. I am but a merewarrior at the middle-level of the Celestial God Realm, and yet you've been defeated like this. Youdidn't even put a scratch on me. If I were you, my shame would be so insurmountable that I wouldhave killed myself already.”
Blood and tears welled up in Grady's eyes. His mind was a blank; even his hatred had disappeared. He had been so damaged by this battle that there was almost none of his former self left.
This was what enduring the heaviest blow he had ever taken did to him.
It was a long while before he came to his senses and remembered that he had suffered a miserabledefeat at the hands of a warrior at the Celestial God Realm.
"Ha-ha.." He was covered in blood and his hair was disheveled. Inexplicably, he burst into tears andlaughter simultaneously.
He had lost his mind, and his warrior spirit had collapsed! He had gone completely mad!
The masters of the other three forces were in a stunned daze for a long while as well. Eventuallythough, they too realized what had happened. They understood it, but they did not believe thatGrady had been beaten to the point of having no strength to fight back.
Grady had always relied on the Archean shield and other reprehensible methods to get by. He rarelycomprehended martial arts. It was expected for him to lose when facing a warrior at the middle-level of the Superior God Realm.
But Darren was only at the middle-level of the Celestial God Realm. This was unprecedented.
All three of them were amazed, feeling as though they had witnessed a miracle. As deputy gods, they had never been so shocked before in their lives!
This would make it the first time since the birth of the Primitive Wilderness that deputy gods hadbeen astounded by a warrior at the Celestial God Realm. This was inconceivable, almost illogical.Grady was still in a mad craze, laughing and crying at the same time. It seemed his warrior spirit hadcompletely collapsed. Short of a miracle, he would never recover from this.
"Darren, let's go," Todd said eventually.
He already knew of Darren's true fighting power. He had been surprised by his release of theSpiritual Flying Swords, but since then, he had expected every other outcome and so had remainedcalm throughout.
"Roland is badly poisoned. I have to detoxify him first before we go anywhere.”
Darren had won, but Roland still suffered from the torture of the black insects. He looked in terriblepain.
Now that Grady had gone crazy, there was definitely no easy way to remove the poisonoussubstances from Roland's body. Even if he hadn't lost his mind, it was still doubtful whether hecould detoxify Roland. Just like Darren's itchy toxin, there was no antidote for it.
"Take him into you world first. He still has three months to live. I will replace a way to treat him.""Okay." Darren had no other option right now.
"Ha-ha. You want to leave? You're just going to ignore us like that?"
One of the three men chuckled slightly before launching an attack at Todd.
"You asshole!"
Todd barked viciously, and a sword intent swept out.
Yet, instead of getting angry at the retaliation, the man seemed overjoyed.
"Attack diverting!"
The man used his unique skill capable of diverting an enemy's attacks.
Whoosh!
Todd's sword intent was not rebounded back to him but instead was sent flying towards Grady.Grady had already gone mad and the Archean shield had dissipated. Without any resistance, thesword intent hacked his head clean off, sending it rolling around on the ground.
Grady was dead.
"Son of a bitch!" Todd's face darkened and his anger now revealed itself fully. The man had plannedto frame him!
