Darren frowned at the Rule Soul Avatar's words.

"Do you mean the one in the Immortal Land?" he asked slowly.

Not long after Darren and the others had entered the Primitive Wilderness, the Rule Soul Avatar wasdeceived into going into the Immortal Land. It was the Immortal Lord who had tried to kill him.Once he had managed to escape, he received the help of the Blade Devil and entered the abyss tosave his life.

All the Rule Soul Avatar remembered was that his would-be killer had a pair of silvery eyes, just likehis.

"Yes, he is the Lord of the Immortal Land," replied the Rule Soul Avatar matter-of-factly. After hisown silvery eyes evolved, the information about the other with silvery eyes appeared in his mind onits own. They were now connected in some way.

At the same time, his silvery eyes counterpart in the Immortal Land might have also received all theRule Soul Avatar's information.

"It's quite fortunate that we're in the supreme gods’ cemetery, or else he might have located yourposition and come for you," Darren pointed out with a sigh of relief.

"I guess so. But I still don't think we're safe here. It'd be best for us to enter the abyss as soon as wecan.”

The Rule Soul Avatar suggested this because he could sense that his enemy from the Immortal Landwas already approaching as they spoke.

"Then let's get a move on,"

Darren said, as he and the Rule Soul Avatar quickened their steps.

Soon, they came to a boulder protruding from the center of the island.

"Is this the supreme god's tomb?" asked Darren.

Before him was an ordinary tomb of cobblestone, no different from a mortal's tomb.

Darren's first impression was that it was too simple, not at all like somewhere a legendary supremegod would be buried.

"My real body, try triggering your God Characters," the Rule Soul Avatar reminded from beside himThe Rule Soul Avatar had already worked out on the way here, that if the entrance to the abyssreally was here, then Darren would have no trouble sensing it with his God Characters.

After all, Alfredo had created the abyss passage, and the three God Characters Darren possessedhad once been Alfredo’s as well.

He had more reason for his belief though; now that his silvery eyes had evolved here, there was nodoubt that this tomb was that of Supreme God Braxton.

Darren triggered his soul power without hesitation, to activate his God Characters and probe thetomb in front of them.

All three God Characters spun at the same time, however, Darren felt nothing special.

It was not until a while later that Darren realized that something was not quite right. The once graysky had suddenly fallen dark. It was more than that actually; there was also no longer any trace oflight around.

"Mr. Chu?"

Suddenly, a cold and sultry voice floated into his ears. It was a woman's.

He was stunned.

Who was it that was speaking to him? Why was the voice so hypnotizing and irresistible to the ears?He was still in a daze when wisps of dim light lit the sky and snapped him out of it. Darren suddenlyrealized that he was no longer on the island and had entered another space altogether.

As his senses came back, he saw a woman beautiful beyond description and imagination, standingin front of him.

She looked twenty-four years old at most. Her figure was perfect, smooth curves, snow-white skinand exquisite, dainty facial features. Every inch of her was enough to take a man's breath away.She was so beautiful it made Darren wonder if there was something wrong with his soul. She was athousand times more alluring than all the women a human could dream of.

"Who are you? Are you Supreme God Braxton?" asked Darren dumbfounded.

He had never imagined Supreme God Braxton as a woman

Darren was not the only one; no one thought Supreme God Braxton would be an incomparablebeauty.

"Are you Xavier?"

She asked with a straight face, ignoring his own question.

Xavier? She knows of Xavier too!" Darren exclaimed in his mind.

It seemed the rumor that Alfredo and Braxton had never overlapped was not true. She called him"Mr. Chu" at first and knew about Xavier. How then, could she and Alfredo, not know each other? Itseemed almost impossible

"Yes, madam," Darren answered respectfully after taking in a deep breath to calm himself at least alittle. She still had not denied Darren's query, so he was now certain she was indeed Supreme GodBraxton.

"Leave here and head back to from where you came. You cannot have the fourth God Characteryet," she said flatly.

Darren was taken aback by what she had just said. He had not come here to replace the fourth GodCharacter at all, and he just wanted to enter the abyss!

Darren was frozen for a moment, not knowing how to explain.

Despite his grievances and that he had more to say, the figure in front of him gradually faded andseemed to vanish right before his eyes.

"Madam, wait a moment. I'm not here for the God Character. All I want is to open the passage tothe Gottron Abyss!" Darren yelled out anxiously.

"Open it with the Source of Laws, and open it with the God Character.”

She then disappeared for good, leaving him these few words and no more.

Darren shuddered and everything returned to normal, to as it had once been. The sky was still lightgray, the sea in the distance still dark blue and he was still on the island.

"My real body, did you learn anything, get any clues?" asked the Rule Soul Avatar.

To him, Darren had only been silent for three seconds before he had come out of his trance.

"Open it with the Source of Laws, and open it with the God Character," Darren repeated what hehad been told to the Rule Soul Avatar.

The Rule Soul Avatar was intelligent enough to understand it right away without having to thinkabout it.

But he had other things on his mind. What Darren told him, left him deeply shocked.

A long lost horrible thought had come back to haunt him once more.

"Everything is destined, right?" he asked, looking up to the sky, his face twisted oddly in a wayDarren had never seen before. Something was clearly bothering him.

"What do you mean?" Darren asked with a look of confusion and concern strewn across his ownface now.

"It requires both the Source of Laws and your God Characters to open the passage. It's pretty muchimpossible for these two things to occur in the same person,” the Rule Soul Avatar said, analyzingthe whole thing in his mind.

"Sure, it's impossible. That's why it needs the both of us. You have the Source of Laws and I possessthe God Characters left by my uncle,” Darren said, still not understanding where he was going withthis.

The Rule Soul Avatar shook his head solemnly and said, "Don't forget that we used to be the sameperson.”

Darren's face was the picture of confusion. He almost understood what he was getting at. It wasright at the front of his mind but he just could not grasp it.

"It means that everything has already been decided and fixed in advance. You are destined to obtainboth the silvery eyes and the God Characters. Even their deaths were according to plan. Only afterthey had both died would these two things appear on another person. This person is none otherthan Xavier, which was actually, you,” explained the Rule Soul Avatar gloomily.

Darren knew that "they" were referring to Supreme God Braxton and his uncle, Alfredo.

The Rule Soul Avatar's analysis filled Darren with fear, as many thoughts came rushing in.

For one, the phantom left by Supreme God Braxton asked him directly if he was Xavier. This meantthat only Xavier was destined to see the phantom Supreme God Braxton left; only him.

She was here waiting for him.

From what she said after, one could assume that Alfredo’s last God Character was in her hands!More and more memories began coming to him. He recalled how the strange stone accidentally fellfrom outer space and hit his head at the very beginning, and how he killed a flood dragon, whicheventually led to the awakening of the silvery eyes. It was not a coincidence at all.

Destiny ruled all. The silvery eyes and the God Characters were arranged for him, destined to be his.However, there was one thing both Braxton and Alfredo had not expected to happen. Darren wasno longer the original Xavier, and the silvery eyes were now with the Rule Soul Avatar.

Everything was now different, not completely the same as destined.
