Chapter 1498 Crazy Evolution

The purple devils that were as powerful as the fiend gods were but mere ants in this abyss.

Darren couldn't even begin to imagine.

Was there any chance the deputy gods of the Chu Clan were able to survive here? If so, where werethey now? It was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

"My real body, we should hide first. We can talk about other things once you reach the SuperiorGod Realm," the Rule Soul Avatar said after a while. After analyzing the situation, he figured it'd bepractically impossible for them to make it out of here alive with their current abilities.

"You're right. The day of breaking through will come, sooner or later,”

Darren conceded easily. He and the Rule Soul Avatar were still too weak.

The two of them began to retreat quietly, but unexpectedly, several purple devils appeared behindthem.

The two of them whipped around to come face to face with the devils. Both parties stared eachother down.

The devils seemed to be very curious about these mysterious guests. What were they? Why hadthey never seen creatures like them before? It didn't matter—they looked delicious!

"Get them!" one of the devils roared.

Without hesitation, several devils rushed towards them.

At this point, it was impossible for Darren and his avatar to retreat. There were tens of thousands ofdevils on the other side. They had no choice but to charge forward.

"Kili"

Darren swung his blade and sword ferociously, and two devils fell to the ground, dead. Then, theRule Soul Avatar killed the remaining devils with powerful Attack Laws.

Darren was hoping that killing the several devils quickly and quietly would let them slip past thehorde of devils behind them, unnoticed. Unfortunately, it only served to attract their attention. Inthe blink of an eye, all the devils were flying madly in Darren's direction.

"Let's go!"

There were just too many devils, and some of them were very powerful. The two of them couldn'tpossibly face them alone!

With the help of the laws of the Rule Soul Avatar, they were able to escape quickly. Only the threestrongest purple devils were able to chase after them, thanks to their special skills.

After flying for about two hours, Darren and his avatar landed on another empty land

They had decided to face the three purple devils right then and there.

"If you keep chasing after us, you leave us with no choice but to kill you!" Darren shouted coldly.The three purple devils drooled, thick saliva running down their chins. No matter what Darren said,they couldn't tear their eyes away from this delicious-looking meal.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The three devils vanished at the same time, and then a strong energy force hit Darren. Darrenwaved his sword instinctively, sealing all the possible directions that might be attacked.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The violent collision sent ripples of air out into the space.

Inhaling sharply, Darren launched himself into the sky. Three pairs of horrific claws followed Darrenand swiftly swiped at his three vital parts. They moved so fast that they seemed to defy the rules ofspace!

Wincing in pain, Darren closed his eyes and his sword went where his mind willed it.

Now that he was focused, he could map out the three devils’ movements.

Swoosh!

His sword struck out and cast a bright light, and majestic sword intent poured out like a gushingwaterfall.

"Argh!"

Three devils appeared from the void, covered in deep wounds.

"Roar!"

To the surprise of the three devils, this strange creature seemed to be very powerful. Their defensewas pierced through by an attack that they had never seen before! The three devils were somewhatdisgruntled

Similarly, Darren was also surprised.

How did his penetrating sword intent and the black god's power not kill the three devils? Theirdefenses must've been even stronger than that of the metal creature!

"Ha-ha, it seems that I have something to gain here..." Darren smiled and then made his move.

His sword and blade sliced through the air. Light and shadows interlaced with each other, forming ahuge web which blocked out the sky. As Darren did that, the Rule Soul Avatar also used the thunder,traps, and other Attack Laws. Thousands of powerful Attack Laws descended into this worldunceasingly.

Boom! Boom!

The earth shook under the impact.

The three devils trembled in fear. They roared angrily, but none of them retreated.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The three continued to withstand the attacks of Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar in the hopes ofgetting closer and killing the two.

Unfortunately, the three devils had overestimated their defense. Before they were able to cross athird of the way, their bodies melted into purple mud and dropped to the ground.

"Assimilate! Evolve!"

Darren habitually activated the two forces. The purple devils didn't have too much talent, but theirEvolution Force benefited Darren greatly.

He felt his bones and meridians begin to emit a stronger purple-gold luster.

In that moment, Darren made a decision.

"Avatar, these purple devils can help my body evolve. Why don't we stay here and hunt them?"Additionally, this was also a way to temper his body to the limit and increase his strength.

"Okay." The Rule Soul Avatar nodded in agreement.

Half a year later, bones piled up like a mountain.

Darren sat cross-legged at the foot of the mountain of bones. Suddenly, a powerful purple devil fellfrom the space fluctuation.

the purple devil called out in his own language. Seeing Darren, the purple devil trembled with fear.Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar had already learned their language by now. When they heard histerrified roar, they couldn't help but laugh.

Before he knew it, Darren was flung backwards by a great force.

The Rule Soul Avatar watched as an onlooker. It seemed he had no intention of stepping in.

Soon, Darren flew back. There was an inch deep claw mark on his chest, but he didn't feel any pain."Too weak!" Darren taunted. This purple devil couldn't break his defense at all.

If he had been hit like this half a year ago, he would have been smashed into pieces.

But after half a year's worth of evolving, Darren's bones and meridians had all turned into purepurple-gold. The attacks from the devils on the same level as warriors at the top level of theSuperior God Realm were like child's play to him now.

This was what he had gained in the past six months: a terrifying physical defense.

This purple devil completely collapsed. What kind of monster was this man? Not only did he fail tokill this man, his arm was smashed by the collision!

"Please, don't kill me. I'm willing to be your slave,”

the purple devil begged, suddenly falling to the ground at Darren's feet.

This surprised Darren. He had killed so many devils in the past six months, but none of them hadbegged for mercy like this one.

Then, a thought crossed Darren's mind. “What if I take this purple devil as a believer? He had neverthought of this before.

"Swear it—if you want to be my slave. Swear that you will always believe in the Conflicting ChiefGod!" Darren ordered in the devil's language.

"Yes. I swear by my humble soul..."

"Ah!" After the purple devil finished his oath, he suddenly jumped up and roared. "Defiant Master,you're done for. Your behavior will anger the supreme emperor.”
