Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 410 Upgrading His Talent (Part Two)

"Okay, go check in a radius of a thousand miles. See if there are more beasts of this kind around thisplace,” Darren nodded and instructed the Water Kylin. "If there are indeed some, just drag themhere and kill them in front of me. Do you understand?" Darren looked at the Water Kylin, waiting forhis response.

"Haha. Okay. Master, I didn't know that you like to watch me kill diabolic beasts this much?" TheWater Kylin teased him with a laugh.

"Don't waste more time. Just go!" Darren scolded him, feeling impatient and not in the mood forjokes. If there were truly more beasts around, they had to be dealt with immediately.

"All right. All right," the Water Kylin answered lazily, not impressed by his master's lack of humor. Hehad the situation under control, there was no need for this kind of urgency. Nevertheless, hefollowed his orders and shrank himself to a much smaller size. With a grin, he got on Ethan's back."Let's go!" he exclaimed, and Ethan did as he was told. Within seconds, they were gone.

"Hey, Darren, your legendary beast is quite smart. He knew it would be dangerous to leave Ethanhere with us, so he dragged Ethan with him,” Timothy remarked, eyes full of appreciation. The WaterKylin really thought of everything. Such strength and intelligence were truly impressive.

"Haha, no. He's just like a silly dog sometimes. He wouldn't have thought about it that much.Knowing him, he probably thought it would be funny to let Ethan carry him.” Darren shook his headwith a laugh.

Even though they believed Darren's words, it didn't really change how impressive it was. Timothyand Abelard stared at Darren with both envy and awe. He had tamed a legendary beast of theAncient Age for God's sake! It didn't matter if he called him a silly dog, or if the Water Kylingenuinely only brought Ethan because he thought it was funny. Who wouldn't be envious ofDarren?

Darren noticed their looks and just laughed again. He didn't comment further on it and insteadchanged the subject. The three of them just stood there for the next couple of minutes, chatting abit and waiting for the return of the Water Kylin.

More and more time passed, but they were still waiting. There was no sight of the Water Kylincoming back. Instead, there were two waves of level five demonic monsters and level six demonicmonsters that suddenly appeared and charged towards them. They were no match for them, however, and the three friends killed them right on sight.

Time passed quickly and after two days, the Water Kylin still hadn't come back. Meanwhile, thediabolic beasts that wanted to break out from this place were getting stronger and stronger.

At that moment in time, Darren was fighting with a monster king, while Timothy and Abelard werefighting with a demonic monster that had just gotten in the Grand Realm!

The ground was shaking from all the energy that was released, and blood was splatteredeverywhere.

Darren finally killed the monster king, being ruthless and quick in his attack, before rushing over toTimothy and Abelard to join them in their fight.

In front of them was a huge human-like rhino. It had an ugly shape, and heavy, unpleasantsounding breaths were coming out of its huge nose. The monster looked haggard and bleary-eyed,seemingly a bit worn-out from this fight. However, Timothy and Abelard were in a worse conditionthan the monster. There were wounds all over their bodies, their skin was blue in some spots, bleeding in others. They looked completely drained.

"Damn it! I really want to kill this bastard with my Ancestor Sword Soul. But I can only use it twicethis year. I really don't want to waste a precious chance to use it," Timothy cursed, then dodged anattack from the demonic monster. He quickly took a few steps away and ran off to the side.

The same was true for Abelard. The number of times that he could use the soul in his axe waslimited. That was why he was also saving it for more urgent situations, despite the fact that theywere currently not faring too well.

But in reality, they used the fight as a sort of training session to improve their skills. After all, theywere both aware that once Darren joined their fight, he could immediately kill this demonic monsterthat had just gotten in the Grand Realm. Thanks to this knowledge, they were not afraid for theirlives nor too tempted to use their special skills.

The situation might have looked bad from the outside, but really wasn't. And diabolic beasts thatwere in the Grand Realm were quite unlike human martial artists who entered it. The human martialartists normally had their own domains, while the diabolic beasts refined their demonic inner elixirs. The latter could only get in the Grand Realm when they had the demonic inner elixir in their bodies, otherwise they couldn't enter it.

Now that Darren had joined the fight, the tables had turned. Timothy and Abelard both came to ahalt, breathing hard. It was much easier for them now. This time, the one that needed to run was thedemonic monster.

"This bastard is fierce. Darren, you are really good! It is scared of the dark gold internal force ofyours!" Abelard let out a sigh of relief. Now that he didn't have to worry anymore, he couldconcentrate on honing his skills and therefore started to fight even harder.

"Come on guys, let's kill it!" Darren shouted while he kept launching the olive-black force and darkgold internal force at the demonic monster.

Seeing that the monster was close to its breaking point, Timothy and Abelard also used theirstrongest force to hit the demonic monster as hard as they could.

Both axe and sword kept getting propelled back and forth, leaving countless deep wounds on thedemonic monster's body when they plunged their weapons into it. However, this served to makethe demonic monster so furious that it wanted to spit out its demonic inner elixir. This would ensurethat it could have one last fight with them. But before it could go through with its plan, Darrenpierced its head from behind with just one move.

In that moment, a demonic monster in the Grand Realm was killed by the joined effort of the threefriends.

Darren didn't want to waste a second and immediately started to assimilate its talent. As for itsblood and demonic inner elixir, he made sure to give them to Timothy and Abelard.

Once finished, all three of them sat down on the ground to rest a bit and catch their breath. However, all of a sudden, a loud noise broke the companionable silence that had settled aroundthem. Far away on the other side of the river, blood-colored lights shot to the sky, as roars andshouts were echoing around the whole area.

"It seems that there's a fight! Should we sneak over there to check it out?” Timothy felt pleasantlysurprised, and he turned to Darren and Abelard to replace out what their opinion on the matter was.
