Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 523 Prepared For The Riot (Part One)

As the sea started to quiet down and the whole place grew dead silence, even the faintest chirp ofthe crickets could be heard with the gentle frissons of the air. Though the enemy had beendefeated, a warrior was also beaten with his life baited on the line. Whether he would be spared ornot, a fate only knew. His fellow warrior, a close friend, and a true brother, Darren, had a desolateexpression on his face while he carried Scott's bloodshed body in his arms. He flew him back to theWestern Desert Island.

"Are you all right, Darren?" greeted one of the masters of the Shaoyan Clan the moment heapproached Darren at midair.

Once Darren's presence was sensed around the island, some of the masters of the Shaoyan Clanflew over to meet them. The masters, too, had blood all over their bodies.

Clearly, while Scott, Darren and others were fighting with the purple mutant, those masters werekilling the rest of three-star mutants left on the island.

"I am fine. Don't worry. The purple mutant was killed. But my big brother here is severely injured.Sirs, please help me to save him."

Being carried in Darren's arms, Scott's body had transformed back into its human form. He lookedragged, and there were wounds all over his body. Worst was, there were a few terrifying cracks onhis skull.

"Let's all work together to save the Holy Lord."

At their descent, Darren put Scott on the ground and laid him comfortably, preparing him to havehis wounds healed. Momentarily, all the grand warriors whose cultivation base was beyond thethree-star level gathered around and transferred their spiritual energy to cure Scott.

In a whole day, with the cultivators’ continuous efforts in reviving and healing him, Scott's body hadbeen healed.

After everything that he had endured in his fight with the purple mutant, Scott was still fortunate. For without the aura of the dragon blood which protected and increased his body strength, Scottwould be torn to shreds in no time.

The rest of the masters in Shaoyan Clan expressed their gratitude to those who had come to helpthem, especially when they realized that their crisis had been resolved mainly because of Scott. Onthe one hand, they were flabbergasted at how strong Scott was, and because of that, they were sograteful to him.

"Ugh..." Scott let out an odd sound the moment he gained consciousness and opened his eyes.

It has been three days after his body had been healed. Scott finally woke up and had somehowregained most of his strength; he was almost in perfect shape right now, except that he was pale inthe face.

As the news of Scott's awakening spread amongst the warriors, everyone cheered and grew excitedto see the Holy Lord back on his feet once more. Some warriors were even eager to talk to him andsomehow express their gratitude towards him.

"Scott, you're finally healed. Are you feeling alright?" Darren asked the moment he rushed in andsaw that Scott had been awake. The warrior was very happy and relieved to see Scott in such a state.Though Scott still looked pale, he nodded slightly towards Darren, saying, "I have been severelyinjured. I need to go back to my clan to recover fully. Full recovery and gaining back my perfectshape would probably take a long time. Though the mutants on this island were defeated this time,I am afraid they had passed on the message about the space passage. If that happens, othermutants will absolutely plot their revolution. Darren, be careful. You guys must increase yourcultivation base as fast as you can.”

"I am aware of that possibility, Scott. I will try my best to elevate my cultivation base the quickestway possible. As for the other cultivators, I'll do my best to motivate them to increase their bases aswell. Don't worry about us; just focus on healing yourself." As Darren gave out a response, henodded. At the same time, he assured Scott that he would prepare himself and the other cultivatorsready in case other groups of mutants would attack them.

Meanwhile, the masters from the Shaoyan Clan all walked towards Darren and Scott, kneeling."Holy Lord, Mr. Chu, thank you for saving our lives. We are very grateful to both of you. We owe youour lives,” the masters echoed in chorus while expressing their utmost reverence and gratificationtowards Darren and Scott.

What Scott and Darren had done indeed saved their lives, no wonder they behaved that way—worshiping and magnifying them as gods.

"Stand up," with a heavy face, Scott ordered in a cold voice. It was apparent that he did not wantthem to express their gratitude in that way.

"Sirs, please stand up. It is normal that we help each other while in crisis. You don't need to do this,”feeling a little awkward about the masters’ show of gratitude, Darren muttered. After all, he was notused to being adored and flattered to that extent.

Following their orders, the masters then stood up after giving both of them a courteous kowtow."Bobby, thank you for all the help as well.”

"David, I really appreciate your help.”

Then, the masters of the Shaoyan Clan expressed their gratitude to other human warriors who hadcome to help them. Winning the fight against the mutants wouldn't be possible without the otherhuman warriors’ help. Thus, the members of the Shaoyan Clan found it fitting to show them theirgratitude too.

Another three days later, Scott was able to walk and had somehow grown scarlet in his face. He wasno longer frail and pale. Thus he planned to go back home to start his full recovery.

"Scott, how about I escort you home?" offered Darren, assuming that Scott might need some helpalong his way.

"There is no need for that, Darren. My clan is so particular that I am afraid you are not permitted togo in. Why don't you just make out most of your time and cultivate hard? Try to be a seven-stargrand warrior as early as possible. When I am fully recovered, I will go and try the ultimateinheritance of my clan. If I were to obtain a tiny bit of inheritance from the dragon soul, I wouldbecome powerful enough to deal with those stronger mutants,” Scott retorted back.

"Okay. I guess that's the best thing to do for now. Take care then, Scott.” Darren bade him farewell."Take care, Holy Lord," bade one of the masters.

"See you later, Holy Lord," another master called out.

While others were still saying goodbye to him, Scott flew high into the sky, heading to the sea ofthe far west.

A few days after Scott had left, Darren and the masters had a get-together and feasted in merry-making. A couple of days passed before the human warriors went back to their places. They had todo so, for they needed to inform their clans about what had happened. Furthermore, they neededto know that the space passage had been sealed. The human warriors deemed that the earlier theygot their clans informed, the more prepared would they get. At the same time, they could come upwith a better solution or plan on how to deal with the threats of the mutants.
