"Where is Finley?" though he knew the answer to his question, still Darren asked.

"Finley is meditating in seclusion! Help me now, or they will kill me," the Water Kylin begged,dashing here and there in attacking and defending himself against the creatures.

Whoosh!

In a flash, Darren joined the fight. With Darren brandishing his sword towards the enemy, the WaterKylin was a bit relieved for the beatings that he was suffering would somehow be lessened.

Facing numerous creatures at once, Darren constantly emitted his dark gold internal force and theolive-black force alternatively. He was sweating and struggling to push the creatures back, andworst was they were a bit invincible.

Moreover, the ruthless creatures were very united. They usually resisted Darren's attack together,and they defused in several seconds. Such techniques made it even worse for Darren.

As he was busy dealing with the enemies in front of him, Darren saw that the Water Kylin was struckwith a creature that pinned him down. Immediately, he summoned his teleportation skill andrescued the Water Kylin.

Swoosh!

While swooping down, Darren activated his blade and sword intents to cut at a ruthless creature.However, the blade and sword intents only left two shallow wounds on the body of that ruthlesscreature, which were not enough to kill it.

"The creatures’ bodies are as strong as Scott's.”

Earlier, Darren focused on evading the attacks from the creatures. Thus he had never wounded asingle ruthless creature. After this attack, however, Darren realized the horror posed by thecreatures.

Seeing that the creature was not killed and Darren's attack led to the agitation rather thanweakening, all of the now pumped up creatures turned to kill Darren.

"Oh! That is a good chance!" the Water Kylin said with his luminous eyes wide opened. Then,without saying a word, he flew towards the sky.

"Shit! Are you running away?" Darren cursed angrily when he saw that the Water Kylin was flyingaway, leaving him alone amidst the wrath of the furious creatures.

"Master, you hold on for a while. I'll come to help you soon," the Water Kylin shouted out at Darrenas he gradually disappeared.

"Screw you!" Hearing the words from the beast, Darren glared at the direction where the Water Kylinflew. Suddenly he swung his sword to release a dark gold internal force so that the ruthlesscreatures were repulsed. He immediately mobilized the force of control and escaped.

After Darren left, the creatures irritably bombarded the Ancient Void Battlefield around instead ofcalming down. For a few seconds, innumerable mountains were smashed to pieces, and the entirespace was covered with pulverized sand and rocks.

Though he couldn't take it, Darren had to let them destroy the Ancient Void Battlefield temporarily.Looking back with a disdained heart, he began to chase after the Water Kylin.

"You son of a bitch! I just saved your life, and you run away alone?"

Darren scolded and pounded the Water Kylin's head with his fist, the moment he caught sight of thebeast.

"Ouch!" The Water Kylin jumped up, and then he said with a shrunk body, "Can you blame me? Youbrought such powerful monsters into the Ancient Void Battlefield that I can't fight against. If I don'trun, I will be killed."

"You dead dog, but why would you leave me alone?!" Turning his head to face the beast, Darrenflashed a furious glance at the Water Kylin.

"Haha! Master, don't get mad. Let's get Finley out. He can kill these monsters in a second,” theWater Kylin said while wagging his tail resembling a dog.

"Where is he? Have you located where he was cultivating?” seeing the excitement on the WaterKylin's face, Darren asked in a complaining voice.

"Come with me! If he doesn't come out, I will blow him up,”

the Water Kylin said while he flew in the direction where Finley was cultivating.

After flying for a few minutes, Darren and the Water Kylin reached the entrance of a secluded cave."Oh, so here he is! No wonder I can't replace him, even when I use my spiritual sense! I should haveknown."

In the Ancient Void Battlefield, this cave was the only place that Darren couldn't sense. He had beenhere before, but he couldn't break the restriction of the cave.

By the look of it, Finley was sitting in front of the cave, surrounded by various complicated runes. Helooked mysterious and solemn.

"I had nothing else to do than spending my time doing nothing inside the Ancient Void Battlefield,and so I decided to look for Finley. But it really took me a long time to replace him. Master, let me tellyou a secret. Finley has wholly immersed himself in cultivation and can't wake up even if we beathim violently. Isn't it amazing!"

the Water Kylin said with a gloating smile, and then he began to slap Finley with his claws.

"Damn you! You used to bully me. Now let me bust you! Haha!" The Water Kylin constantly smackedFinley.

"Stop! You beast! Finley is meditating. What if you kill him?" with a demanding voice, Darrenshouted at the Water Kylin.

"No, he won't. Trust me, sir. I have beaten him many times the first time I saw him here. He is allright,” the Water Kylin said with a smile and raised his claws wanting to beat Finley again.

Seeing how the beast had beaten Finley, Darren was speechless. He thought that the shamelessWater Kylin must have hit Finley many times before, and now he was planning to beat him out evenmore.

Boom!

All of a sudden, a huge palm came down and smashed the Water Kylin into a meat cake, curdledand shivering on the ground

"What's happened? What was that?" The unforeseen and unexpected scene shocked Darren makinghim thought, 'Is the Water Kylin dead?"
