Chapter 541 Reaching The Premium Stage (Part One)

As vivid as it appeared in the image presented by Anna, a young man in a white robe kept lookingup at the sky. He seemed to be waiting for the arrival of whatever or whomever it was.

A few moments later, a blast of purple-black air suddenly appeared in the space. The suddenappearance of the odd scene made the man in white linger around with vigilance.

Following the sudden uproar, a sharp cry rang out as if it was from something colossal andpowerful. Soon enough, a very fast-moving figure flashed from behind the young man in white."Huh?" With his mouth gaped open in awe, Darren was mesmerized abruptly. Such a reaction wasmade as he saw that there etched at the young man’s back a five-claw-shaped wound. The woundlooked deep and grave, with his bones visible!

At the sight of such injury, Darren even began to wonder, “Is this young man in a white robe really afive-star grand warrior? How could he be so easily knocked down? Or is the devil so strong anddominating that it could inflict injury on a five-star warrior that easily?" As Darren thought wildly, hekept staring at the image presented by Anna.

While his teeth clenched with the searing pain, the young man in white turned around to face hisenemy. His face was full of frightened expression as he struggled to stand straight while blood wasstill dripping from his wounds.

The enemy, which was a purple-black, rat-like, huge creature, stood in front of him with its fangsshown in anger. The creature was with a build of shocking muscles, and a stream of saliva flowedover its beastly mouth. Its little eyes that were glowing vehemently were staring at the young manin white as if it had seen some kind of incredibly delicious food to feast on.

"See? This is the devil I've mentioned to you before. It is exceptionally fierce. If you go there andmeet it, you will be killed for sure. Humph!" with a confident tone, Anna commented. While she wassaying that, she had a look at Darren, hoping to see the fear on his face.

"Well, don't jump to that conclusion so hastily,” with a calm expression and tone, Darren responded. He just couldn't take his eyes off the pictures in the midair, for he was curious as to what wouldhappen next.

"Kill" the young man in white roared furiously.

With such declaration, the young man shot a sharp black spear towards the purple-black devil atlightning speed. The spear flashed across space, leaving a cracking noise behind that sounded soirritating to the ears.

Seeing the fast spear approaching, the purple-black devil's eyes flashed fiercely. In defense, its sharpclaws began to catch the magic spear directly—not even a single hesitation was seen in the devil'sface.

The moment the black magic spear touched the devil's claws, the spear was deformed abruptly likea vine being pulled out from its roots and left to wither under the sun.

Though he saw what happened to his spear, the young man did not panic. Instead, a hint ofexcitement glimmered in his eyes.

As the corners of his mouth lifted in a menacing smile, a wave of weird runes flashed on the blackmagic spear that was on the devil's claws. With that, the spear instantly changed into a rampantdragon and then swooped towards the devil—ready to devour the devil's head

However, as the devil saw the evil dragon transformed from the magic spear that was about toswallow its head, the devil disappeared out of thin air in a split second.

Such a trick amazed Darren. It even made him wonder stealthily that if he were in the devil's shoes,he couldn't avoid being attacked by the dragon at all. Even with his Air-integrated True Rule, itwould still be too late for him to escape in time. Yet, for the devil, it had easily escaped like it wasjust a piece of cake for it. Furthermore, from that aspect, it could be seen that the devil's speed hadexceeded Darren's expectations.

The fight was just starting to heat up, and Darren watched every detail of the on-going battleintently. After an hour, the action finally came to an end, and it ended in the way as Darren hadexpected.

Despite the various skills used by the young man in a white robe and several times of his desperatepersistence, he still failed and was killed—the devil with its claws pierced his heart.

Watching the battle made Darren learn more about the devil. Based on his observation as to howthe devil fought, he had a thorough understanding of the devil's strengths and weaknesses as well.Compared with the purple mutants he fought before, this devil was obviously much stronger, andits specific combat power was probably close to a six-star grand warrior.

"Haha, now you must be scared!" When Anna saw Darren's solemn expression the moment thebattle ended, she jumped with joy.

"Where are the time turbulent flows?" asked Darren with a negative tone after a moment of silence."You don't have this naive thought that with only a few years of cultivation, you can rival the devil,do you? I'm telling you, the time turbulent flows on my floor can only slow the time by five times atthe maximum. To replace some, you need to be extremely lucky. Don't have this daydream that you canbeat the devil by using the time turbulent flows to improve your strength. I advise that you'd betterstay on this floor the same as me. Only in this way you can prevent yourself from being killed. Don'tyou think so?" Anna let out a flow of words from her mouth despite being ignored by Darren.

In the Starry Tower, every time a contestant defeated a guardian on one floor, he could stay therefor one year. Yet, if he stayed there for more than one year without entering the next floor, he wouldnever have the chance to leave anymore.

As for Darren, it was apparent that he definitely would not choose to stay on the third floor guardedby Anna much longer or for the rest of his life.

For a moment, Darren grew silent like a stone perched atop a lofty mountain. His thoughts wereracing as to how to improve his strength within a few years so he could kill the devil and, on top ofthat, exit the Starry Tower as soon as possible.

'I have enough spiritual crystals now, but my power is suppressed to prevent me from reaching theGrand Realm, so the space for improving my ability is limited, * Darren thought as he analyzed andweighed things carefully.

In his haste to accelerate his cultivation base in the fastest way possible, Darren's various methodsnow seemed to have reached their limit. For example, the power of his olive-black force was fixed asof the moment, and so was the power of his dark gold internal force. As long as there was nostronger fusion of blade and sword intents, the power of his dark gold internal force would also befixed—nothing more nothing less. As for his other skill, the Augmented Attack Bloodline, the powerwas linked to the realm and hence, couldn't be promoted at once, making it totally useless forDarren.

After having a thorough analysis of all his skills for a while, Darren concluded that he could onlyimprove his strength by increasing the level of the blade and sword intents. However, such animprovement would not be significant enough to defeat the five-star grand warrior at his top level, let alone the six-star grand warrior devil.

'Well, let it be now. Come what may, I'll just figure out the solution later. In the meantime, I need toreplace the time turbulent flows for my further cultivation." Making up his mind, Darren decided to putall the considerations aside for a while and focused his attention on searching for the time turbulentflows.
