Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 561 Darren's Avatar

Ten days later

Mathew reappeared on the seventh floor of the Starry Tower.

A handsome young man with long black hair stood next to him. But the young man’s eyes weredull, and he looked rather lifeless. He was Darren's avatar, which was created by Mathew.

"Darren!" Mathew shouted.

Whoosh!

Darren flew toward Mathew to greet him.

"Ha-ha! Your sword and blade intents have improved again!" Mathew exclaimed. Excitement flashedin his eyes as he studied Darren.

"Sir, it's all because of Mr. Hanson Xiao's guidance. Oh, is this the avatar that you have made forme? It looks exactly the same as me, except that it appears expressionless and cold.” Darren lookedat the young man beside Mathew. Astonishment and eagerness coursed through him.

"Don't worry. The avatar is not finished yet. As he hasn't been infused with a soul, he can't have self-consciousness. That's why I am here. I need your help to complete the last step.

To do that, I will need to extract a strand of your soul and infuse it into his body. You need to relaxduring the whole process, even if you feel discomfort or pain. You must not try to resist them. I'msorry, but it's going to be a painful process. Fortunately, it won't take long. So, please endure thepain until the process is finished," Mathew explained.

"Well, I have endured soul torturing previously. Sir, please proceed with the process. I am ready tobear the pain.” Darren looked relaxed as he spoke.

Mathew nodded slightly. Then, he took out a small silver blade and stabbed it into Darren's head."Ah," Darren screamed when he felt the agony of his soul being split. The attack was so unexpectedthat he couldn't control his reaction.

Yet, soon, he calmed himself. With gritted teeth, Darren remained silent as Mathew worked onremoving a strand of his soul.

It was so painful that before long, Darren's expression was distorted, and beads of sweat covered hisface. Everything in front of him was blurry, and he could not see properly.

After what seemed ages, the pain finally subsided a little.

"Darren, take this," Mathew said as he handed the boy a pill.

Darren did as he was told. After that, he felt something cold in his mouth, and a sense of relaxationand ease coursed through his body. A few seconds later, Darren felt that the pain from the soulsplitting had disappeared

He began to pant heavily, as the feeling of removing a part of his soul was akin to drowning.

"I'm sorry that you had to go through this. You should rest now." Mathew knew how painful it waswhen one's soul was cut. Thus, he understood what Darren was feeling.

"Okay." Darren sat cross-legged on the ground and closed his eyes as he focused on relaxinghimself.

"Darren, now try to contact your avatar,” Mathew suggested.

"Thank you for bringing me to life, sir." Darren's avatar, who stood beside Mathew, bowed to himwith a smile.

"Well, not bad. You already can control your avatar.” Mathew smiled.

"Ha-ha, the pain was almost unbearable. But it seems worth it. Sir, could you please send me outimmediately as I am worried that the mutants may have invaded the territory of the human race,”Darren's avatar said anxiously.

"Well, if you're ready, then it's time to send you out. Heed my advice: Even though you are just anavatar, don't get killed easily; if you die, your real body will suffer an unbearable soul attack. Therepercussions are severe as Darren can become an idiot forever, or worse, he may even die,"Mathew explained.

"Sir, please don't worry," Darren said as he stood and dusted his pants. "My avatar's strength iscomparable to a six-star grand warrior, and he can use all my skills. Ill give him a few divineweapons as well. With my skills and weapons, he will not be in any imminent danger.”

Mathew turned and replied to Darren with a smile, "Oh, it's great to see that you can control theavatar so smoothly now. Who should I talk to if I wanted to ask you some questions?"

"Ha-ha, I'm still practicing. But, as our souls have merged, it has been quick and easy for me tocontrol my avatar. By the way, since my avatar can inherit all my martial arts skills, why don't youhelp me make more avatars?" Darren replied with a smile.

"Stop daydreaming!" Mathew said as he patted Darren's head lightly. "The treasures and methodsneeded to make this avatar were prepared by my master a long time ago. Not only have thepreparations to create your avatar consumed a lot of time and effort, but I also feel the resourceshave been wasted as your avatar is quite weak. It's impossible to create a new avatar for at leastanother hundred years. You should be content with one.”

"Well, I see. I should leave now," the avatar said.

"All right. But, be careful,” Mathew replied

Darren gave his Space Ring to the avatar before Mathew teleported him out of the Starry Tower. Then, Darren continued to learn from Hanson as they waited for their master to return.Somewhere in the wilderness of the southern land of the Lothlann Continent

Air waves rippled through space as it ripped open, and then, a tall and handsome figure appearedout of nowhere. The figure was Darren's avatar. His name was also Darren.

“Run!”

As soon as Darren's avatar landed on the ground, he heard a scream. Then, he saw a group of darkfigures rushing toward him. They had been the ones to shout the warning.

Darren didn't stop them. Instead, he stepped aside to make way for them.

"Why are you running?"

Darren asked as the figures neared.

"What a silly question. The demons are coming to kill us all. If we run and hide in the remotemountain, we may have a chance to survive. If we don't, we will be dead meat in the end.”

"Young man, hurry up and replace a place to hide. Even the grand warriors are scared of the demons. You might live if you hide now."

Several people who were close to Darren responded hurriedly before continuing toward themountains.

Paying no attention to what they had advised him, Darren raised his head and looked at the sky. Inthe far distance, all kinds of mutants were attacking the legendary fishing net fiercely.

"Oh, no! The mutants are using their maximum power to target only one part of the fishing net. Itlooks like it will soon lose its power to defend the human beings,” Darren murmured to himself."Ahhhhh!"

Just as Darren was about to fly toward the sky to check the fishing net, a burst of fearful cries camefrom the crowd behind him.

"Lord, please let us go. I beg you, please!”

a human, not far from Darren, pleaded pitifully.

Darren frowned and moved quickly toward the source of the sound.

As soon as he arrived, he saw a giant snail, about the size of a calf.

Next to the snail, a large number of ordinary people lay on the ground, each with their necks tornapart.

"You evil monster!" Darren roared. He had screamed with such fury that the earth around himtrembled.

"Oh, you are a human grand warrior! I advise you not to meddle in my business. If you leave beforemy tribe's army arrives, you can live a few more days."

The giant snail raised his head and looked at Darren contemptuously. There wasn't the slightest fearin the snail's eyes.

"You're asking for death!”

Darren roared as he launched a palm attack against the snail.

Just then, the snail's body shrank into his shell.

Bang!

Darren's attack hit the snail's body hard. Although the ground under the snail began to collapse, nodamage was seen on the snail's shell.

A moment later, the snail stuck his head out of his shell and said in surprise, "That was a powerfulattack!"

The snail was as mighty as a three-star grand warrior. Although he had been hiding in his shell, hehad almost died because of the young man's palm attack.

"Human, no matter how powerful you are, do you think that you can kill me? The snail tribe'sdefense is the best in the world. Even though you are a five-star grand warrior, you won't be able tokill me. Ha-ha!" The snail mutant sounded very arrogant.

The people on the ground had also felt Darren's strength. Soon, they knelt before him.

"Sir, please help us drive him away."

"Sir, please help us! This mutant can't be killed. We only hope that you can banish him and save us.”Some of the people who knelt on the ground had seen such snails more than once. Thus, they knewthat the snails were powerful. Moreover, some of them had witnessed a human grand warrior diefrom snail poisoning.

Darren did not respond. He just stood in front of the snail with a cold expression on his face. In ablink, a strong killing intent burst from his eyes.

"Tell me, how did you break through our defense and get to our world? If you don't answer me, Iwill torture you to death," Darren stated threateningly. He needed more information before hecould launch another attack against the snail.

"Ha-ha, you lowly human. Do you think our tribe needs to break through your defense? Don't youknow that our tribe has been hiding in the southern land?" Apparently, the snail mutant wasconfident in his shell's defense power and didn't fear Darren at all.

"So, the mutants that have been dormant in the borders of the southern land are disgustingcreatures like you. Good to know! You can go to hell now," Darren snarled.

Whoosh!

Before Darren could launch an attack, the snail released a mucus attack against him.

The mucus was extremely poisonous. Even a three-star grand warrior would die on the spot if ittouched him.

However, before the mucus could reach Darren, he disappeared.

The next moment, a shiny golden blade slashed at the snail's shell.

"Ha-ha, you just can't kill..." The snail mutant began to taunt Darren. However, before he couldcomplete his sentence, he turned into a small pool of bloody water.
