Chapter 583 Escape (Part One)

Time seemed to stop ticking, everything froze at the moment, and Darren did not care about theblood-essence mutant. Instead, he hurried to Scott, who was almost breathing his last on the brinkof death.

While he held on to his head, Darren fed Scott with several pills and activated all of his spiritualenergy to help him heal from the injuries that he had sustained.

After a while, thanks to Darren's pills and spiritual energy, although Scott was not fully recovered, hewas free from danger. After making sure that Scott was stable and secured, Darren flew to the threecompelling martial artists of the Ancient Families and gave them a lot of healing pills, letting themheal themselves too.

"Thank you so much, sirs. If it weren't for you, I would have been too late," Darren said sincerely.

In fact, Darren knew everything that was happening in the forbidden area although his real bodywas inside the Starry Tower all this time. When he saw that the blood-essence mutant was about tobreak through the restriction of the forbidden area, he was also anxious and shaken. It was lucky for Darren that the three masters from the Ancient Families had helped him to hold themutant at bay for three days. They had bought him some time and had succeeded in delaying themutant from reaching the forbidden area, and Darren was grateful to them.

"It's fine. Killing these mutants is also our mission while we are in the Bottom Spiritual World," oneof the masters said.

Darren nodded lightly and gave them a reassuring smile. After which, he flew into the air in searchof the blood-essence mutant.

After several seconds of flying, Darren saw the blood-essence mutant standing proud and tall in theair. The moment Darren appeared in front of the mutant, the blood-essence mutant could feel somekind of suppression. He had the same feeling as the moment he met the young man in black armorbefore.

"Why don't you run away when you had a chance?" mocked Darren against the blood-essencemutant. Though it appeared more like an insult, for Darren had said it in a calm yet insinuating tone."Why should I run away? Just wait and see. When my real body comes out of this world, all of youwill die. I'll step on your graves, and I'll trample all of you under my feet,” the blood-essence mutantdeclared without fear, eyes glowering in hatred.

"Haha, go to hell! That is where you belong, after all. Although the body you possessed right now ismy friend's, I will never show mercy to you. You have killed my friend, and now is payback time,"bellowed Darren. Soon enough, a torrent of blade and sword intents swept through the blood-essence mutant like a storm.

At the sight of the surging potent intents, the blood-essence mutant's scarlet eyes suddenlydimmed. It was as if he had transformed into a new being.

"Master, it's me. I'm Bruce."

Out of the blue, amidst Darren's impending rage, a voice was heard from the mutant. And as Darrennarrowed his eyes to have a closer look, the mutant's face twitched.

"What?" asked Darren as he frowned, being confused at the moment.

"I'm not dead, master. The mutant sealed my soul. Help me, master, please. Help me,"

By the look of it, the blood-essence mutant struggled to call for Darren's help.

"Well, now that you're not dead, I'll send you to hell!"

Like he hadn't given a damn about Bruce, Darren did not take heed as to what the mutant wassaying. Instead, he kept on unleashing his blade and sword intents like a torrent.

He wouldn't have been fooled by the blood-essence mutant this time. As far as he knew Bruce, hewouldn't beg him like this.

Besides, Darren had already told Bruce not to call him master. Thus, Darren knew that the real Brucewould never call him that.

The sly blood-essence mutant only read a part of Bruce's memory to deceive him.

"Roar!"

The blood-essence mutant knew that Darren would not be fooled by him, and his face grew moreferocious. As a counter-attack, the tremendous demonic internal force by the mutant was constantlyrushing toward Darren.

The three master warriors from the Ancient Families below that had witnessed such launch fromDarren frowned in disagreement.

The two masters suddenly made sense of Darren's attack under the guidance of the other master,who could transform himself into a giant sword.

Awestruck and held in bafflement, the three masters on the ground couldn't describe Darren'sexcellence with words.
