Chapter 701 Pretend To Submit Himself To The Young Man
The Water Kylin had made his point, and Darren thought about it. He thought if he and Hobson hadthe chance to leave, then they shouldn't hesitate, or else it would be more troublesome if both ofthem had to stay.
At that very moment, some influential figures flew over.
"Ancestor!"
They all knelt at the sight of the young man. The kowtow was for their show of reverence to theyoung man.
As stories were handed down from one generation to the next, they had heard legends about theancestor for a long time, but they had never seen him in blood and flesh. Many people thought thatit was something out of thin air; a story meant to scare young children.
Today, however, the ancestor was standing right in their midst. As they bowed their heads low inrespect to him, the young man waved his hand lightly. With that, the disciples got up andstraightened themselves to be worthy after the ancestor's presence.
"Ancestor, it was these two guys who killed our leader, Jordan. We joined forces with other sectsand wanted to punish them. However, they killed many of our strong warriors. Ancestor, pleasestand for us and kill both of them,"
Moss, who was the leader of the elders, said respectfully.
After hearing that, the young man did not say anything, but instead, he turned around and lookedat Darren with fierce and killing eyes.
"Why don't you submit yourself to me?"
Unexpectedly, the young man said so.
"What do you mean by submitting myself to you, sir?" Darren replied in a calm voice, pretendingthat he could not get his hands on what the young man meant.
"It's very simple, just like you've signed the master and slave bond with this legendary beast. Theonly difference would be, this time, you are the slave, and I am your master.”
After he heard that piercing insult, Darren's heart sank. “The powerful young man wants me to behis slave, * he thought.
"You are dreaming, aren't you? How can we become your slaves?" Hobson broke in before Darrenwas able to say anything.
"Young man, you are overthinking. I only want this bloke to be my slave. As for you, your potentialsare too limited, so you cannot become, at the very least, my slave. I will kill you later on to avengethe death of my disciples in the Divine Mountain Sect,”
the young man said indifferently as he smoothed his hair. His eyes were fixed at Darren the wholetime.
"Ancestor, I strongly suggest that we should kill that boy and the legendary beast as well. They alsokilled several masters of our sect,” one of the elders said. His purpose was to fuel the ancestor'swrath so he would burn in rage towards Darren and the Water Kylin.
"As a younger generation, don't tell me what to do. It seems so impolite,”
the young man said in a calm voice. He stretched out a snow-white finger and tapped on the elder'sforehead.
To everyone's bewilderment, a frightening scene happened. The elder's expression froze, and hisbody turned into light red powder, floating in the air—gone and vanished in a blink of an eye.
A simple tap killed a master who had mastered ninety percent of the Fringe Holy Will. Darrencouldn't wrap his head around that. Moreover, worse than anything Darren could imagine, no onefelt any wave of rule power. How terrifying was that? How terrifying was the ancestor?
"Have you thought about my question over?" the young man turned around to Darren and askedcasually as if nothing had happened.
"I'm sorry, but I can't do that," Darren answered shortly. After witnessing the cruel death of theelder, he was afraid, yet he would not merely yield under the young man’s rule.
"Actually, it's not up to you to decide whether you should follow my orders or not. I have plenty ofways to sign a master and slave bond with you.” The man gave a demon-like grin, and his eyes metDarren's intense glare.
After saying that, he pointed his snow-white finger at Darren's forehead.
At that very moment, right then and there, Darren was controlled by an unknown force. He couldnot move a muscle, let alone resist the potent suppressing force.
Boom.
Like a balloon pressed to explode, Darren's mind blew like thunder—loud, colossal, and devastating.A few moments later, a soul message galloped in his brain.
"Arrrrgggghhhhh!”
Darren unconsciously screamed. That soul message from the ancestor rushed in and constantly torehis soul.
Despite the extreme pain, Darren's soul was still resisting. He knew all the while that the momentthe soul message controlled his mind, it meant that the master and slave bond was signed. If thathappened and worst came to worst, inevitably Darren would become the ancestor's slave. Nomatter how strong Darren became in the future, he must follow the young man's orders—whetherhe liked it or not.
That was the horrible point of the master and slave bond.
Generally, to sign a master and slave bond, the slave should cooperate with the master. Once theslave resisted, his soul would burst, and he would die from the explosion of his soul.
Fortunately, Darren's soul was so powerful that it did not explode even if he tried his best to resistthe bond enforced to him by the young man.
The throbbing pain in his soul made Darren twitch incessantly. But he would never give up. Whatwas the point of living as a slave? Thus, he tried as hard as he could, not to yield and best not togive up his soul.
In his dire desperation, Darren tried hard to mobilize his spiritual sense. With that, a black flameshot towards that soul message.
Sizzle.
The black flame enveloped that message and quickly burned it up. To Darren's surprise, his pain wasalleviated a lot to the point that it was almost tolerable.
At this time, Darren noticed that the young man in front of him was still calm and confident. Darrenimmediately felt happy.
'He doesn't even know my black flame can burn the soul message released by him. Let me fool him,' Darren thought to himself. In the young man's eyes, Darren's face was still contorted with pain. The black flame had an innate destructive power to the soul. Even though the young man wasincomparably powerful, a piece of soul message he released would not be so strong.
A moment later, the black flame completely burned up the soul message.
"Master!"
Darren called out. He pretended to fall on the ground as if being totally weakened
"What?" The man frowned.
An odd sensation crept through him, and he felt strange that he did not have the feeling that hecould control Darren's soul at all. But, the way it appeared, Darren seemed to have become a slaveto him.
'Ilt seems that I haven't completely mastered the method of forcibly establishing a master and slavebond, * the young man thought in dismay. Besides, he assumed that Darren's fierce resistance hadcaused the bonding to reach such a result.
“But it's not a big deal. As long as he submits himself to me, he will listen to me. I don't have tocontrol him by force." The young man thought about it secretly. He was hesitant that the disciplesmight notice it and looked at it as his waterloo.
"What's your name?" the young man asked.
"Master, I'm Darren Chu," Darren replied with a dull tone.
"Great. From now on, you are my slave, along with your little puppy.”
After such remarks, the young man put away the Natal Divine Bead of the Water Kylin, and pointedat Hobson from afar.
Seeing that he would be the next target, Hobson's expression froze. Before he could say anything oreven plot an escape to save his life, Hobson was split in half, and his soul was cut open.
“Fuck!’ Darren screamed silently in his heart, feeling so hurtful. Hobson was killed—he just lookedand did nothing about it.
But he had no choice. His heart was bleeding, but he dared not show any expression on his face.Otherwise, the young man would notice he was pretending to submit himself, and he would bekilled like Hobson.
The Water Kylin was entirely under the young man's control, and he could even not control hisactions, so he did not have any response watching Hobson's death too.
"Water Kylin, when we replace an opportunity, we must revenge Hobson's death!" Darren sent amessage to the Water Kylin using his spiritual sense.
"Ah, master, you haven't become his slave! That is so good.” The Water Kylin rejoiced when hereceived Darren's message.
"I'm faking it. Let's kill him when we replace a chance later on!"
"Well, as long as I recover a little bit of control over the Natal Divine Bead, I will blow it up. Even if Icannot kill him, at least I can let you run away," the Water Kylin replied.
"Don't be silly. Don't explode yourself at any time. I don't want to lose you as a good friend again,”Darren said, hurriedly. He could not stand losing another friend after the fall of a precious one. With that, the Water Kylin went silent.
"My little puppy, why are you crying? Don't be afraid. I won't kill you."
The young man touched the Water Kylin's head and patted it like he was rewarding a good dog. Itseemed as if he fancied the Water Kylin.
'Fuck you! I'll swallow you sooner or later, ' the Water Kylin swore silently in his mind.
"Ancestor, since you come out and preside over the situation, our Divine Mountain Sect can rule theworld."
At this time, Elder Moss came forward, delighted—overjoyed even.
"Fuck off! This place is not the world. When I grasp the legendary skill, I will obtain a real world toshow you!" The young man's voice was cold, and the killing intent in his eyes turned into a blackhole and shot into the sky.
After saying that, a few light red runes flashed on his body, and he disappeared together withDarren and the Water Kylin.
"Ramon, where is that boy?"
In the southern wilds of the number nine Badlands, the space twisted, and two golden-armoredmartial artists suddenly appeared.
"He totally disappeared. I cannot detect his presence now," the number two golden-armored lawenforcer, Ramon, said, frowning.
"Is he dead?" the number three golden-armored law enforcer, Edward, asked indifferently.
"It is impossible. Darren's strength is not weak. And with the help of his legendary beast, no one cankill him in number nine Badlands,” Ramon denied unable to accept the possibility that Darren mightbe dead.
"How about that man?"
Ramon's expression completely changed when he heard what Edward said, as if he had seen a deadcome to life.
