Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 757 Nate‘s Hometown

Darren's huge purple-crystal ship flew through space turbulent flows.

As Darren had found a few green-skinned men who were good at controlling the purple-crystalship, he didn't worry about traveling in the wrong direction.

They moved forward smoothly this time. A year later, the purple-crystal ship reached its destination. It was a small continent that covered a range of tens of thousands of kilometers.

Satisfied that they had reached the correct place, Darren ordered the green-skinned men to stopthe purple-crystal ship.

Whoosh!

A figure levitated in the air near the ship.

"My Lord, the devils have come again. What should we do?" a lot of alien creatures belowexclaimed.

The powerful figure remained motionless as it hovered in mid-air, his gaze fixed on the hugepurple-crystal ship.

Then, two people disembarked from the ship.

"Oh, is that..."

The figure in the air trembled with excitement.

In all the years that had passed since he last saw them, he had thought of them every day.

"Miss Elsa and Darren..."

"Nate! This is a wonderful surprise! What are you doing here?" Darren exclaimed. A broad smile litup his face when he recognized his friend.

"It's really you!"

Nate cried with excitement as he flew forward to greet them.

On their last day together, Darren and Elsa had been dealing with the huge windstorm in the spaceturbulent flows. To evade the danger, Nate had taken the purple-crystal cabin at Darren's demand. For so many years, he had been consumed by guilt. He had imagined the worst outcome for Darrenand Elsa and felt sorry for his actions.

Now that they were before him, Nate was overjoyed with the knowledge that they had not died. How could he not be excited?

"Did the God of War just kneel?"

"Are these the gods that Lord Nate mentioned?"

Seeing that Nate was kneeling in front of Darren, the other aliens also prostrated in worship.

"You brat! Why do you kneel so often?" Darren was speechless by the reverence Nate and hisclansmen had shown him.

"You must accept this gesture, or I won't be your friend.” Nate looked at Darren with tear-filled eyes."Well, okay. But, this is the last time, understood?" Darren smiled as he helped Nate to stand.

"Let's drink and catch up!" Pleased, Darren suggested that they all feast and drink together."Absolutely!" Nate grinned as he led Darren and Elsa to his residence.

For the next three days, Nate offered Darren various kinds of fine wine from his hometown. He alsotook Darren on a tour of his homeland in their spare time.

"How are your clan members, Nate?" Darren asked as he and Nate wandered around.

"They're better now. Ever since I buried our dead, our life has almost returned to normal. Don'tlaugh at the irony of what I'm about to share. Although I'm their “God of War’, I'm not strongenough to protect them from an external enemy invasion." Nate sighed.

"Your strength will indeed be a little insufficient if confronted with some powerful humans or aliensBut, I believe you have outstanding physical strength. Why don't you practice martial arts?" Darrenasked.

Nate knew how strong Darren was and longed for his martial arts skills, but he didn't know where tobegin

"As we have never acquired any martial arts knowledge, we don't know how to cultivate.”

"What if I teach you?" Darren suggested.

"What? Really? Darren, are you willing to teach me?" Nate was thrilled when he heard Darren's offer."Yes. But the road to cultivating martial arts is very difficult. How far you go depends on your talent. You have the combat power of a seven-star grand warrior at the top level purely because of yourstrength. Even if you have inferior talent for martial arts, after you cultivate, you will still be strongerthan you are now.”

"Well, I'd like to practice martial arts. Please, Darren,” Nate said as his eyes lit up with joy.

"Well, let me check your martial arts talent first,”

Darren said as he put his palm over Nate's head.

After a while, Darren's expression reflected the confusion coursing through him.

"What's wrong? Alas! Don't I have any talent for martial arts?" Nate was very disappointed.

"No. No, it's not like that. It's just... your talent is so unreal. Maybe it's because you are not a humanbeing.

Let me examine your elixir field.”

The most important thing on the road of martial arts cultivation was talent, and the elixir field wasan indispensable part. Without an elixir field, the cultivator couldn't refine the spiritual energy ofheaven and earth. Everything would be just empty talk if Nate didn't have an elixir field

"What? You don't have an elixir field?" Darren was surprised when he used his spiritual sense todetect Nate's elixir field.

Nate's belly was quite different from that of human beings. He appeared to have an airbag-likeobject in his belly, but there wasn't an elixir field

Nate was utterly disappointed when he heard Darren's explanation.

"Our clan is doomed. Perhaps this is how God meant it to be. We can't possess power like yours.”Nate shook his head and sighed.

"Don't be so disheartened. Your body is different from a human's, but that doesn't mean that youcan't cultivate martial arts skills. Maybe you just haven't found the right way. And no, God hasn'tdoomed any race.” Darren comforted his friend

"No, we truly are a race doomed by God. This saying has been passed down through thegenerations. We hear our ancestors say so right from the moment that we were born in our world.Besides, we have evidence in our ancestral land," Nate said.

"What do you mean? What evidence?" Darren asked curiously.

"I'm not sure how to describe it. Let me show you. Normally, only a venerable elder can enter theancestral land. But he was slaughtered by a devil many years ago. Now that I'm in charge, theserestrictions don't apply to me,”

Nate explained as he led Darren to the depths of a mountain.

It was a cold valley.

Darren followed Nate. From time to time, he would spot skeletons on the ground.

These skeletons were attached to a rotting iron chain.

"Nate, who are they? Why were they tied before their deaths?"

"l was told that these are remains of our ancestors from another continent.

Darren, be careful. Don't touch those iron chains as they are very strange. It's been said that anyonewho touches them ends up with bad luck,"

Nate explained as he carefully navigated through the valley of skeletons.

Confused by Nate's comment, Darren used his spiritual sense to probe these skeletons. But, hedidn't replace anything unusual.

The further they walked, the colder the air became. There was even the smell of killing in the air."Slaughter of unimaginable proportions must have taken place here. Otherwise, the traces of thekilling aura wouldn't have lasted a hundred thousand years,” Darren murmured.

"Here we are.”

Nate stopped. He seemed uneasy as he peered into the dark cave ahead.

"What's in it?"

At this time, Darren felt as though the atmosphere of that cave was familiar.

But he didn't know where this sense of familiarity came from.

"You'll know when you get inside.”

After taking a deep breath, Nate entered the deep, dark cave.

A rotten and moist smell overwhelmed them. After four hours’ walking, Darren and Nate steppedinto a stone chamber.

Three mummified figures sat in front of the stone.

Darren's eyes swept over the three people. His body suddenly froze as if he had received an electricshock.

"Huh!" Darren took half a step back and exclaimed, "They have been dead for such a long time, andyet, the aura around them is still terrifying. They must have been incredibly strong when alive.”

"I have heard that these three were our ancestors. They came from a very distant world."

Surprise registered on Darren's face. He thought, “Could it be that these three are also creaturesfrom outer space?’
