Chapter 776 Misfortunes Of The Sacred Palace

"Goodbye! Take care!"

Tears welled up in Nate's eyes as he watched the huge purple-crystal ship. He waved at Darren andElsa who were about to start their journey to go back to the Sacred Palace.

Darren thought about how long they had been away from the Lothlann Continent and sighedwistfully.

But it was a fruitful trip.

Not only was he able to reach the Holy Realm, but his avatar was also close to becoming a holyemperor. He never would have imagined accomplishing such feats.

He found their journey to be very valuable, and he was grateful for it.

"Darren, I've wanted to go back to our hometown for a long time, but I'm afraid that after we goback, the Death Palace and the Space-time Palace will come to make trouble again. Not to mention,the Cross Expeditionary Force of the three major clans might also rise up," Elsa said, leaning againstDarren's chest.

Water waves billowed in the air, and a huge purple-crystal ship appeared in the teleportation zoneof the Sacred Palace.

Darren and Elsa jumped down from the purple-crystal ship with joy.

After several decades, they had finally returned.

Darren scanned the area. To his surprise, there was no one guarding the teleportation zone.

"Let's go out. Something's wrong," Darren said.

Darren and Elsa walked out to the main hall of the Sacred Palace.

The entire palace was empty, and it seemed as if there had been a fight.

"What?" Darren furrowed his eyebrows.

What had happened in the Sacred Palace?

A terrible thought came to Darren's mind. He felt very worried.

"Is this because of the Cross Expeditionary Force?" Elsa blurted out.

Darren used his spiritual sense to assess their surroundings.

"Come with me, Elsa."

The two of them soared up to the sky.

A moment later, Darren and Elsa landed in front of a deserted mountain.

"Come out!" Darren called out. Several figures rushed out of the mountain, looking frightened."Oh, it's Darren and Elsa!" They were all shocked.

A man landed on the ground, holding a spear in his hand.

"It's really you."

The man's hair was messy and his eyes were wild, but his face was very familiar to Darren.

He was the number two law enforcer, Ramon.

"Ramon, what happened to the Sacred Palace?" Darren asked immediately.

"That's none of your business. You must leave immediately,” Ramon commanded, evading Darren'squestion.

"Even if he wanted to intervene, could he do anything to help? I really don't know what was in LordDonald's mind. He waged a war against the Cross Expeditionary Force for him! The eightcommanders of the Cross Expeditionary Force are all on the continent, but our expeditionary forcecould not come out of the eighteen cities. We are doomed to lose the battle,” someone shouted,clearly distressed.

"It's useless to say that at this stage. Lord Donald and Auberon are now imprisoned. Theodore wascaptured and imprisoned in the deep sea. We no longer stand a chance.”

"What!" Darren exclaimed. His face turned pale.

"Lord Donald and Auberon have been imprisoned? Theodore was captured?" Elsa also furrowed herbrows.

"Tell me more!" Darren roared.

"Darren!" Ramon yelled. "Enough. Now we know you are safe and sound, you must go and hide. Wecannot risk losing you, too.”

"Hide? Do you think I could just go and hide while this is happening? I will kill those bastards of theCross Expeditionary Force.”

"Darren, don't you understand? Auberon and Lord Donald are men of great strength and they haveboth been imprisoned. Don't you realize how powerful the Cross Expeditionary Force is?

When they laid siege to the Sacred Palace that day, the two Mr. Xiaos came to the Sacred Palace.Even they were shocked by the powerful people behind the three clans. Do you still think you candeal with the Cross Expeditionary Force?" a disciple of Sacred Palace exclaimed angrily.
