Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 778 Fighting Against The Man In The Black Robe

Flying on the way to the North Sea Prison, the blue-armored commander was suddenly stopped."Do not stop them, lest your life be put in danger. This is an order from the ancestor,”

a middle-aged man in a black robe said calmly.

"Does the ancestor mean what he says, brother?" the blue-armored commander asked.

They were the last remaining law enforcers of the Sacred Palace and he thought that he would beable to overcome them easily. He did not understand the danger that it posed. He couldn't figure itout.

However, the blue-armored commander dared not to challenge what the ancestor said.

"Our ancestor has commanded we let them be for the time being. Once we are all complete, hehimself will show up to take them down.”

Hearing these words, the blue-armored commander's heart skipped a beat. Were they so powerfulthat the ancestor had to be the one to go up against them? Who were these men?

"Yes." The blue-armored commander and the middle-aged man flew away after this.

Following the coordinates found by Finley, Darren and his companions found themselves at theedge of the North Sea.

The strong wind blew towards them.

The waves crashed wildly but somehow, Darren found watching them to be peaceful.

They stopped for a while to bask in their surroundings and when they were ready, they dove deepinto the sea

The creatures of the sea were frightened of the aura that they exuded and kept away from them.Thirty thousand leagues beneath the sea, there was a cage. It was chained to the bottom of the seaand with just a glance, Darren knew it was enchanted.

The water was cold as ice.

They swam closer to the cage and saw several figures in it, each one covered in ice.

“Lord Donald!"

Darren exclaimed. He used his dark gold internal force to unleash an attack on the cave and goldenlight shot out from his chest.

The bottom of the sea stirred but the cage did not budge.

The prisoners, however, were awakened.

"D... Darren..."

The middle-aged man opened his eyes and looked at them in surprise.

"Why are you here? You should leave! Now!"

Lord Donald gasped weakly. The cold made him look more disheveled and he was still unable tomove.

Auberon also opened his eyes.

"Darren, please leave. We still have time to live."

"Lord Donald... Auberon..."” Ramon and all the other disciples of the Sacred Palace fell to their kneesin reverence.

"Please get up. They cannot keep us here for long. Once the soldiers of the eighteen cities return, the Cross Expeditionary Force will be forced to let us go!" said Lord Donald

"Lord Donald, Darren came to rescue you. He is strong enough to kill a general with one blow. Wehave the chance to get you out of there!”

"Yes, My Lord. With my current strength, I am not afraid of the so-called eight commanders. Myfriend, Finley, is also with me. His power equals mine, so you need not be afraid of anything thatmay come,” Darren said, his voice booming.

"Finley, open the cage.” Darren turned to Finley.

"Don't rush. I'm already checking it. The cage has very strong Shackle Rule. I need time to be able todestroy it." Finley analyzed the cage, his eyes twinkling.

"Darren, you don't understand. The Cross Expeditionary Force is more than meets the eye. Apowerful man backs them up. In fact, there are also some elders in the Sacred Palace. But they arenow trapped in the eighteen cities and not convenient to come out. Once they come, we will havenothing to worry about.

Moreover, even the one behind the Cross Expeditionary Force wouldn't dare to kill us. This is a rulethat was set from the birth of the eight clans. They can defend themselves and suppress eachother's power, but they must not kill one another or else they themselves will be killed," LordDonald said, straining in his effort to speak.

"I think I understand. This rule was put in place to suppress the first fiend ancestor. If the top eightclans fought for their own interests, many talented masters would die. We human beings would beunable to resist if the first fiend ancestor escapes. Am I right?" Darren asked.

"That is the main reason, yes. We have also agreed to these conditions.” Lord Donald nodded

"In that case, I won't kill anyone. I just need to set you free and make them apologize for theiridiocy,” Darren said.

"Darren, no way. Even if you can defeat the eight commanders, there is still one person in their forcethat you are absolutely no match for,” Auberon said, shivering in terror.

"Well, unless I try I'll never know, right?" Darren chuckled.

"It is impossible for you to defeat him.” A hoarse voice came from the cold sea.

Suddenly, a thin man dressed in a black robe appeared

"Are you the one guarding the North Sea prison?" Darren's eyes flashed.

Darren could sense that this thin man was powerful but he had no idea just how strong he was."Let's cut the chit chat. If you can withstand one of my attacks, then I will let them go,” the thin mansaid this with a calm, cool manner.

"Ha, how about you try surviving one of my attacks?" Darren laughed. He thought the man was tooarrogant.

The prisoners grew pale as they observed the exchange happening before them.

They already knew that although this thin man was an inferior holy warrior, he was a more powerfulfighter than any of the other inferior holy warriors who had reached the top level.

"You are so arrogant!” the man roared.

"Do you agree or not?" Darren shouted coldly.

"I have changed my mind. I will kill you because of your arrogance.” The man in black robe said, hiseyes narrowing.

Neither he nor Darren belonged to the eight great clans.

If they would kill each other, no one would have any qualms about it.

"Darren, don't accept the challenge. If you refuse, he will not pursue you!" Lord Donald panicked."My Lord, you don't believe in me?" Darren sputtered, hurt.

Finley, on the other hand, was trying his best to break the cage. He tried to contain his own anger ashe worked silently on the bars.

"Alas." Lord Donald sighed. Darren was just as stubborn as before.

"My Lord, please believe in him. Everything will be fine,” Elsa blurted.

Lord Donald shut his eyes, worry eating up his insides.

Bang!

Streams of sword intent swirled across the bottom of the sea.

"All of you, take cover!" Darren yelled to his companions.

"Yes!" Except for Ramon, all of the others retreated.

A fierce sword intent attacked the man in the black robe, stirring up a storm under the sea.

"That's it?" The dust settled and the man in black laughed a hollow laugh. "My turn,” he said.Immediately, he stretched out his withered hand and grabbed at Darren's sword intent. He capturedit in his palm and crushed it without hesitation.

"I own a Golden Indestructible Body and I'm indestructible. Your sword intent cannot hurt me!"

He raised his head and locked eyes with Darren. He grinned ferociously and made a pulling motionwith his hands. A cyan spear appeared in his hand

"Kill him!"

He stabbed at the water and it crackled with electricity. Everything went dark. The seafloor shookand mountains on the land above the sea crumbled into pieces.

"If that's all you have, you don't need to fight!"

Buzz.

Suddenly, a dark gold light seemed to break through the darkness.

It invaded the space and began to fill in the cracks left by the thin man's attack.
