Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 818 The White Mist Area
"Well."
The monkey withdrew his stick and let out an ugly laugh.
"I told you not to bluff me. No one can act stubborn in front of me," the monkey mocked.Grabbing hold of Darren, he flew up to the air.
"Show me the way," the monkey ordered.
"To the north," Darren replied. It shamed him to think that he was caught by the monkey. Thisproved that he was still too weak to fight him.
"You better not be playing tricks on me or else you will die a horrible death,” the monkeythreatened. They continued to fly north with Darren tucked in the monkey's arms.
As they traveled, Darren debated on whether he should direct the monkey to the place where Friswas in. Maybe Fris could deal with the monkey himself.
But in the end, Darren decided against it. The village head was only a shadow and he might not be amatch against the monkey.
"Hey, why are you looking for the Inner Fiend? You call yourself Barnes the Holy, which meansyou're enemies with the Inner Fiend. Are you planning on killing him?" Darren asked tentatively. The monkey pinched Darren's arms. His sharp nails pierced through the flesh, making it painful."It's none of your business. So you better keep your mouth shut or else I'll beat you to a bloodypulp.” The monkey's threat shouldn't be treated lightly.
Darren decided to shut up.
After flying over a million kilometers, the monkey finally couldn't hold it in any longer.
"You lied to me." His tone was flat but it had an underlying hostility in it.
Darren was flustered. Indeed, the direction he gave the monkey wouldn't lead them to the placewhere Fris was in. In fact, he hadn't been in this direction before.
He had no other choice now. He had to keep up the front. "I'm not lying. We're in the rightdirection.”
However, the monkey stopped.
A thick mist settled over the sea in front of him. He couldn't see anything past it and even hisspiritual sense couldn't penetrate through it.
The monkey froze for a moment.
He stared at the mist, frowning. Then he suddenly exclaimed, "Impossible! How could he be there?"At those words, Darren burst out laughing.
Fear and apprehension descended upon the monkey as he continued to gaze at the mist.
"Yes, I have seen the Inner Fiend in that white mist,” Darren said with certainty.
"That's nonsense!" the monkey howled.
"There's nothing I can do if you don't believe me.” Darren shrugged helplessly.
The monkey seemed hesitant. Using his Spirit Power, he probed Darren further and found out thathe wasn't lying.
Darren was expecting this so he had to convince himself that he had encountered the Inner Fiendwithin the mist. This way, the monkey wouldn't detect the lie.
"What? Are you afraid?" Darren taunted.
"Bullshit!" the monkey roared. "I'm Barnes the Holy. Nothing can scare me!"
"Then why are you still standing there? Go and replace him!"
Bang!
The punch came out of nowhere, breaking some of Darren's ribs.
"Fuck you..." He wanted to tear the monkey into pieces.
"What?" The monkey challenged, staring at him.
Darren simply shook his head and said, "Forget it. I wouldn't want to offend you again.”
Ignoring Darren, the monkey flew directly into the mist.
Immediately, their eyes were stung by the fog and the wind filled their ears.
Darren couldn't see anything in front of him.
An earth-shattering roar burst out of nowhere.
A huge fist suddenly appeared above them.
The monkey brought his stick up and swept it through the air.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The stick found its mark and kept hitting the gigantic fist.
Then, the monkey rushed towards the fist, and smashed at it several times.
Pieces of gray stones started to fall as a huge figure collapsed.
Darren was surprised. "Stone man?"
From where he stood, he couldn't see things quite clearly. But as he got closer, he saw the tenthousand feet stone creature breaking into pieces.
The stone man must be stronger than Darren because he had made the monkey hit him severaltimes before he was defeated.
"It's you?"
"It's you..."
"It's you!"
Different voices rang out from all directions.
The monkey brought his stick back on his shoulder. His stance was confident and fearless. "Yes, it isme."
“The monkey has been here before!" Darren's heart sank at the realization. This meant the monkeywould replace out that he was lying all along.
"Tell me, where is the Inner Fiend?" The monkey's voice was clear and loud.
"We have never heard of the Inner Fiend. So you better get out of here soon, or have you alreadyforgotten what happened to you last time you were here?" A voice rumbled like thunder in the sky.It seemed to press down on Darren's chest, almost making him spit blood.
"Shit! What is this? It's so powerful?" Darren was stunned.
The monkey perked up upon hearing the voice. His body suddenly exploded in rage.
"It seems that you will never be reconciled unless I kill you with my stick.” The monkey chargedtowards the mist ahead.
Darren quickly saw this as an opportunity to make an escape. "Now's my chance.”
He backed away as swiftly as he could as if his life depended on it.
While flying, a shadow suddenly appeared three feet in front of him. It turned out to be a thirty feetwide fist.
"Fuck!" Darren cursed. He didn't expect that the stone creature would attack him as well.
He then unleashed a dark golden internal force from within him, directing it at the creature. But thestone man was quick enough to dodge his attack.
Boom!
The dark golden internal force exploded upon impact with the fist. A few cracks appeared on thestone fist, but it still didn't budge.
"The strength of this stone man is probably no less than that of the purple crystal," Darren mutteredto himself.
The stone man swung his fist at the direction Darren was escaping to.
With a roar, Darren turned into a dragon.
He knew that if he was hit directly by the fist, he would die immediately.
The dark dragon flew through the mist with his tail sweeping violently behind him.
The tail collided with the fist creating a deafening roar. It forced the two to back away.
Darren felt the dragon's tail turned numb. A large part of his scales had been shattered.
"Damn it! He's too strong. How can I possibly get through him?" Darren cursed under his breath. Then, it came to him that he had a large number of advanced purple crystals stored in his SpaceRing. He doubted that it would be enough to break the stone man's defense, but he had no otheroptions.
"Maybe I can use them.”
With his spiritual sense, a sword made out of purple crystal appeared in the dragon's claws.Whoosh!
Darren moved quickly and rushed towards the stone.
The stone fist descended upon him again.
With all his might, Darren swung his dragon claw and aimed it at his enemy's fist.
He stabbed it again and again
"There is hope!"
The purple-crystal sword pierced through the stone fist.
The stone man roared wildly.
His cries began to turn frantic with pain.
With his dragon tail, Darren slapped at the creature a thousand times. Then he infused his olive-black force into the cracks in the stone man's fist. He began strangling the creature.
Bang!
The stone man's fist exploded.
Darren took the opportunity to tackle the creature, striking the purple crystal into its head.Boom!
The stone man exploded and died
Darren then summoned his Assimilation Skill.
He wasn't sure if the creature's talent would be useful, but he still assimilated it.
A grey aura began to flow through Darren's meridians.
It entered his body until it automatically melted into his flesh and his blood.
With that, every bit of his flesh began to harden like stone.
"What! By assimilating the stone man’s talent, my body's physical strength improved!"
Darren was thrilled as he felt the increase of power rush through him. He felt himself becomestronger by 10 percent.
