Chapter 827 Driving Away The Monkey

On the second day, Caroline and Darren found the monkey again. They wanted to practicecooperative fighting skills once more.

The three of them stood still in the void.

"Hey, monkey. How about we go at it for real this time? To make it more interesting, let's bet on it."There was a hint of coldness in Caroline's voice.

"Uhh, okay. What's the bet?" The monkey scratched his head

"Let's fight! If you lose, get out of here right now!"

Buzz!

The monkey was stunned.

"Uhm. What do you mean? What if I win?"

"If you win, 1 will leave after I kill the ancient senior holy warrior," Caroline said directly.

"Ha-ha! But that's silly. We could kill him and leave together.” The monkey grinned cluelessly.Suddenly, he saw the unwelcoming expression on Caroline's face. The monkey felt something wasoff.

"Are you driving me away?"

The monkey's stomach felt as if it were tied in knots.

"There is no kinder way to say it. After this battle, either you or I will leave. Let me make this clear foryou. I don't want you here or anywhere near me. Stop importuning, understand?" Caroline saiddisdainfully without showing any remorse for the monkey.

The monkey's head began spinning as if his world was falling apart. He had never experienced thebitter feeling of rejection.

"Why? I don't understand. I'll let you beat me. Just don't let me go, okay?" The monkey looked atCaroline with longing eyes.

Darren stood aside awkwardly. He was shocked and did not know what to say.

"Stop talking nonsense. When will you accept that there is no way in hell that there will besomething between us?" she said impatiently.

"Yes, there is!" The monkey nodded childishly as he stomped his feet with all his might.

"You are so simple-minded. Are you really that dumb? Since you're humiliating yourself. You knowwhat? I'll tell you the real reason.

We can't be together because I come from a much more noble clan than you. I am a legendarybeast. Your inferior blood doesn't even set you apart from any of the feral monkeys in the jungle.That's where the difference lies.

I'm sorry, but you clearly don't deserve me. Are you satisfied now?"

Caroline's words echoed and lingered slowly in the monkey's mind like an explosive thunderstorm."But if I practice harder, I will be stronger than you one day,” the monkey said while his lipstrembled and his eyes began to water.

"You're so stupid. Don't you see that it's not about strength? The bloodline is the root issue, whichhas been decided upon your birth!

Stop talking to me. Let's fight!"

Caroline was speechless at the stubborn monkey. Without hesitation, she turned into a blazingphoenix. She was ready to defeat the monkey and disillusion him mercilessly.

"Darren, let's join forces!" Caroline said.

"I'm afraid I'll be your burden,” Darren said sternly.

"Never mind. That's exactly what I want anyway. Otherwise, the monkey will think I am bullyinghim," Caroline said with a heart of stone.

"Alright." Darren nodded. He looked at the monkey who was standing in an ungainly manner, andcould not help but feel inexplicably sorry.

"I didn’t expect Caroline to be so arrogant. She completely rejected the monkey because of hisblood," Darren sighed.

This was a common affair in the ordinary world.

Many young and sincere men regard their women with utmost respect, but only to be sneered atbecause of their origins.

'I must help the monkey for the sake of the genuine men who others deem unworthy of lovebecause of their descent. I will deliberately let Caroline lose, so that the monkey can stay with us fora few more days, ' Darren thought to himself as he made up his mind.

With a burst of powerful energy, Darren and Caroline rushed towards the monkey.

"I want to win! I'm not going anywhere!" Sizz!

The monkey's eyes burned ferociously. Then, he scowled with surging belligerence mixed with amuch fiendish nature.

Horrendous stick shadows instantly burst out and flashed towards Darren and Caroline.

Darren was fighting side by side with Caroline to supplement her combative adeptness. However, hepretended to mix up his own skills to hinder her from winning.

"Darren, I know what you're trying to do. But you can't help the monkey anyway!!" Caroline sent amessage to Darren through her spiritual sense. She knew what he was doing.

"Ugh, fine," Darren sighed.

The fierce fight threw the void into an incredible chaos. By then, Caroline had gained an upper handover the monkey even though Darren was slowing her down.

"Oh, wait." At that time, Darren realized that the more tricks he played while cooperating with her,the more defects of their cooperative skills turned to be clearer.

Every move was calculated in Darren's mind. He found a perfect balance in each of their cooperativeskills.

After an hour, Darren found out almost all the defects and had deduced all the moves in his mind."Howl!"

Rage overcame the monkey.

"Devastation Skill!"

The monkey became even more savage. He quickly turned the tables and subdued Caroline!

The more ferocious the monkey looked, the more she wanted to defeat him and drive him away."Darren, what are you doing?" Seeing that Darren had stayed put, Caroline was alarmed.

Hearing this, Darren unwittingly used their cooperative fighting skills.

"Dragon and Phoenix Cleaving Through Fallen Flowers," Darren said solemnly. Then, he turned intoa beam of light and shot towards the battlefield.

With the void trembling, a formidable force emerged and came at the monkey.

"The Dance of the Dragon and Phoenix!" Caroline gave a light roar and flew in the air like a beautifulfairy. Darren naturally cooperated with her. Together, they built a massive fortress both for attackand defense.

"Roar!"

Darren did not even notice that he had transformed into a dragon.

The huge dragon and the phoenix enveloped the sky.

Boom!

The two of them launched tens of thousands of attacks in a row.

The monkey seemed to have fallen into an abyss. An infinite and powerful force pressed him downintensely.

"Golden Indestructible Body!"

"Thunder-cloud Heavenly Tribulation Stick!"

That time, the monkey used a martial arts skill that he had never used before. The Thunder-cloudHeavenly Tribulation Stick was a dangerous move for it could cost his soul.

"Damn monkey," Caroline whispered. She had not seen that skill even though he was nearly killedby her previously.

The countless stick shadows were condensed into a lightning rod and rampaged the void.

“End it!"

The phoenix flame and the aura of dragon blood interwove into a peerless spear, attacking theshadow of the stick.

Boom!

Brilliant rays burst out endlessly and ripped the void. Moments later, everything was tranquil as amillpond.

Two figures gradually appeared in the light.

On the battlefield, it saw a colossal dragon and a magnificent phoenix.

"You've lost," Caroline said calmly.

The monkey half-knelt in the void. It seemed that he was too weak to stand up.

"I lost, but I don't acknowledge the bet, ha-ha.” The monkey attempted to raise his head andworked up a smile. Darren could see that his eyes were filled with deep sorrow.

"Don't be so childish. If you are really a man, you should leave before I start to hate you.” Carolineflashed an alluring flame arc in the sky and disappeared in the distance.

The monkey stared at her elegant figure at a loss. His heart began to sink.

"Dude, monkey..."

Darren flew over.

"I'm really sorry. I somehow used my all-out powers."

Darren wanted to comfort the monkey, but he could not come up with the proper words.

The monkey stood up and smiled bitterly, carrying the stick on his shoulder.

He turned around indifferently and walked towards the sunset.
