Chapter 914 You Are Darren

Darren and Chaz tore through the treasure beast's body until they found two bones in its abdomen. The bones were shining so brightly.

"Wow! There are two Runic Bones! We can make a fortune out of these."

Chaz hurriedly picked up the Runic Bones and scrutinized them closely.

He handed them to Darren afterwards instead of keeping them to himself.

"Why are you giving them to me?" Darren asked. He seemed hesitant to take the bones from Chaz."I should be handing the good stuff to you," Chaz joked.

"You don't have to do that. Just keep them. They're useless to me anyway."

"Well, you can still have them, and if you want, just give me one of them.”

To be honest, Darren wasn't expecting Chaz's words. It seemed like the latter really deferred to him."Don't be like that. We're friends so you can keep them if you want." Darren rolled his eyes at Chaz."Very well then. We'll split it up. You take one and I'll take the other. It may be useless to you now,but you can probably have it traded with something else.” Chaz then placed one of the Runic Bonesinto Darren's hands, who accepted it without another word of refusal.

After that, they made their way to where the disciples of the Blue Cloud City were.

"Hey! Aren't you the disciples of the Blue Cloud City? Why are you acting like dogs?"

The disciples of the Holy City sneered disdainfully at the disciples of the Blue Cloud City. They hadthe latter under their mercy.

Those from the Blue Cloud City paled even more upon seeing Darren.

"Sir, please let me go. They only forced me to do it! I didn't actually want to kill you.”

One of the Blue Cloud City disciples kowtowed incessantly to Darren. His timid figure was almostshaking in desperation and fear.

The disciples of the Holy City frowned at Darren.

"Did you beat them like this?" asked Arvin, the leader of the disciples of the Holy City.

Darren simply ignored him, heading straight to the leader of the Blue Cloud City disciples.

"How do you want to die?" Darren asked. He appeared calm and composed but his tone heldmalice.

But the leader of the Blue Cloud City disciples was completely unfazed by Darren's intimidatingpresence. He met his gaze head on. His own hatred reflected back to Darren.

He spat at the ground in disdain.

"Very well then. I'll make your death quick since you didn't beg for mercy." Initially, Darren plannedon taking his time in torturing them before ending their lives. But he changed his mind as soon ashe saw the man’s tough facade.

"Hey! Why do you get to kill him? Are you forgetting that he's our prisoner?"

One of the disciples of the Holy City stepped up against Darren. His glare was cold as he lookedover Darren as if sizing him up.

He hadn't seen Darren fight yet because the battle was already over when they all arrived. They hadno reason to fear him just yet.

Not one of them suspected Darren as the reason behind the bloodbath among the Blue Cloud Citydisciples. In fact, they were expecting the four-tribulation junior holy warrior, Chaz, behind theslaughtering—not Darren.

And since Chaz was heavily injured himself and was obviously in no shape to fight, they didn'tconsider Darren a threat at all.

"Do you want to die?"

Chaz planted his feet firmly on the ground as he exuded the aura of a four-tribulation junior holywarrior.

"Who do you think you are? You're just a couple of weaklings. How dare you threaten us like this?Do you really want to die?" the disciple of the Holy City roared. His face was contorted into such aferocious expression.

Suddenly, the disciple of the Blue Cloud City who was being trodden upon burst out laughing.

He almost sounded unhinged from beneath their feet.

"Go on cursing this boy. I'm eager to see you guys being killed by him too," he said.

"What did you say? Come on. Say it to my face and I'll kill you!" Arvin came over and stood beforethe laughing man. He began kicking him senseless until his laughter turned into breathless coughs."Bah!" The beaten disciple looked up at Arvin. Disdain flared in his eyes as he said, "You are nomatch for him. Do you think you're stronger than our array? If he hadn't defeated us, we would haveslaughtered you all in an instant. He is that powerful so don't act so high and mighty. You're onlyhumiliating yourself."

His gaze fell on Darren then. His eyes were even and steady as he looked at Darren.

Arvin felt his heart skip a beat. It was as if it had flown up in his throat, making him unable tobreathe properly. Then fear slowly trickled inside him. He then pointed at Darren and said, "Are yousaying that this piece of trash is responsible for all these?"

A look of pity crossed the Blue Cloud City disciple. It was as if he knew that Arvin was making agrave mistake. "Don't call him trash. Ten of you won't even be enough to match his strength. Whodo you think you are? He had defeated me, fair and square, so I know that he's stronger than I am.You may have captured me, but I still won't say that you're stronger than I am. Because you're thepiece of trash!"

The rest of the Holy City disciples turned pale at the man’s accusation.

"You're lying! How could an ordinary junior holy warrior defeat you? Aren't you defeated by thatfour-tribulation junior holy warrior?”

"Are you only trying to schmooze your way of here? I'm sorry to say but he won't have a say to yourfreedom. We're the ones who captured you so we'll decide your fate.”

Upon hearing this, Darren sneered.

If only they weren't from the Holy City, he would have killed them already. He would lie if he said hehadn't thought about this.

"Never mind. I'll spare your lives for now. But this will be the last time I'll let you get away." Withthat, Darren tried to contain his anger, extinguishing the fury that threatened to spill out of him. Then he turned to Chaz and said, "Let's go.” They prepared to leave.

The situation of the Blue Cloud City disciples was already hopeless anyway. Their resolutionwouldn't go well because they were prisoners of the disciples of the Holy City.

"Wait! We can't go yet. We still don't have our transmission tokens.” Chaz held Darren back as hemotioned to the two corpses at the side. He dug through its contents until he found two tokens. After replaceing what he was looking for, he walked over to one of the disciples of the Holy City andasked, "Is this the transmission token to the eighteen cities?"

"Why should I even answer your question? Just get out of my sight!" the disciple roared.

At that moment, Chaz's temper flared. The desire to teach them a lesson crossed his mind, and thistime he had no intentions of restraining himself anymore.

From out of nowhere, a halberd shot across the air.

Its sharp blade was headed straight to the disciple's throat.

"Look out!"

Arvin quickly flew over to the disciple and deflected the halberd with his own spear. He had justsaved him from death

"Don't even think that we aren't serious about killing you," Chaz threatened. His face was as cold asice as he stared at the two disciples from the Holy City.

"Just let them go. It's no use provoking them into a fight." Arvin held the disciple back with hisspiritual sense.

Almost reluctantly, the disciple sighed and gave in. He might not agree to what Arvin had said, buthe didn't dare defy him

Arvin then stepped forward. His attention was solely on Chaz. "Those transmission tokens will allowyou to go to the Blue Cloud City. It can only be activated if you fill it with Spirit Power or spiritualsense. That's all you need to know. You can leave now."

Chaz snorted, not even bothering to say thank you to Arvin. He turned to Darren and motioned forthem to leave. "Let's go, Darren."

Darren nodded and walked after him.

"Wait!" This time, it was Arvin who tried to prevent them from leaving. Darren and Chaz turnedaround, frowning.

Darren had decided that if Arvin would disrespect them again, he wouldn't hold himself back anylonger.

Surprisingly, Arvin didn’t do such thing. Instead, he asked, "Are you Darren Chu?"

Before Darren could even answer, Arvin took out a portrait of his likeness. He looked at it and thenback at Darren.

"So you are Darren!" He sounded surprised by this.

They had orders to locate Darren's whereabouts, but he hadn't expected that their paths wouldcross several times. Ironically, he hadn't recognized Darren each time they ran into each other untilnow.

This explained why this guy was looking for a transmission token to the eighteen cities. He was onlya junior holy warrior and he didn't have one.
