Chapter 917 Retreat

Darren and Chaz were under immense pressure during the fight. They were using much of theirpower.

Suddenly, a figure descended into the center of the battlefield.

"Humph, I sensed your presence a long time ago. Are you going to help them?" Myron stared at thefigure, his eyes shining. It seemed that there was thunder in his eyes as well.

"Ha! Myron, now that I'm here, why don't you give me the honor of getting what I want? I want him.Why don’t you leave him to me?" Laura said with a sweet smile.

But while speaking, Laura had flicked her wrists. A soft pink aura appeared on her white hands.Then, thousands of petals fell from the sky and gave off a sweet fragrance, intoxicating those whowere able to smell it.

"You!"

Myron looked absolutely murderous.

"What? Oh, don't be angry.”

Laura giggled, floating gently towards Myron. She reached out her hand and tapped his foreheadwith her finger

Myron's face darkened. His eyes widened and he scrambled backwards, as if he were facing adangerous foe.

"Laura, are you really going to fight me to death for that bastard? Why?"

Laura had implanted the image of her killing him for the man that she wanted.

"Of course not. I'm so nice to you.” Laura chuckled, covering her hand with her mouth. She mighthave looked frail, but Laura was an extremely formidable enemy.

Myron's chest heaved sharply. The clouds of thunder and lightning suddenly disappeared and thesky became clear.

"Okay, fine. I will not fight with you.

But don't think I'm afraid of you. If you provoke me again, I will kill you even though you're awoman!"

After saying that, he landed on the ground and turned around, leaving with the disciples of the BlueCloud City.

Darren was surprised.

Laura turned to Darren and stared at him

"Thank you so much, Miss..." Darren said, trying to calm himself.

"Are you Darren?"

Laura asked, smiling. A slight blush had crept up onto her face.

Normally, men would swoon at the sight of Laura's smile and pledge their undying love to her.However, Darren looked at her calmly. It seemed that he wasn't affected by her beauty at all. He waseven sizing her up and trying to figure out where she had come from.

'She appears to be quite charming... Although she is not as beautiful as the immortal or Caroline,she does seem to be in better shape..." Darren thought to himself.

Laura chuckled, seeing Darren's blank expression. She covered her mouth with her hand. “He's onlya man. He will fall for me.’

"Oh Darren, you're very powerful!”

Deep inside, Laura only saw him as a normal man. However, she hid her disgust well.

"Oh, I'm nothing. You're a lot better than me," Darren smiled.

He wasn't trying to be modest. He did feel that Laura was powerful. Those petals falling from the skyjust now were not real flowers, but were formed by some kind of rule. The flower petals gave Darrena strange feeling. Behind their beauty was the intent to kill, which spooked him.

Of course, Darren also knew that the flower petals were nothing but a party trick. It would bedifferent if she were in a real battle. Myron would not have walked away if she was not capable offighting well. It was safe to assume that she, too, possessed great strength.

"You're still young, and you will be able to surpass me sooner or later,” Laura said coldly.

She shifted her focus to Chaz. All this time, Chaz had been busy healing himself from his injuries andhad not even looked up at her.

'This man is handsome, but he seems to be a little cold and detached, * she thought to herself.Chaz's armor had broken in many places, revealing his flesh. Now that he was able to heal himself,his skin became flawless once more. Laura gazed upon his muscular body.

However, Chaz seemed unbothered by her presence. Instead, he just gave her a small nod. "Thankyou for your help,” he said softly.

As a man who had been hurt badly by women in his previous life, he hated women to his core. Heswore he would never fall in love again with any woman. Therefore, he didn't even want to take alook at the enticing and flirtatious Laura.

'Oh... I like this one..." Laura's affection for Chaz increased.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh

The people of the Holy City flew over.

"Laura, you are so great! You scared off Myron so easily!" Some of the disciples began to shoutpraises at Laura.

"Yes! If Laura hadn't come to rescue us, we might have been in big trouble!"

However, Arvin, who had only been watching them the whole time, stayed silent. He knew Laura andhow much she didn't like being flattered

"Darren, you are powerful! Your potential is unprecedented. We didn't know you well before, so welooked down upon you. We were wrong. On behalf of everyone, I sincerely apologize to you. I hopeyou can forgive us.”

Arvin walked up to Darren and bowed in front of him. His voice was very sincere.

"Never mind that,"

Darren said calmly, shaking his head. He knew that in this world, only powerful people wererespected. If he wasn't powerful enough, respect wasn't the only thing he would lose. He couldstand losing his life.

"Darren, you are so generous. I apologize for offending you!"

Some of the other disciples of the Holy City also saluted to Darren.

"It doesn't matter. It's just a small misunderstanding,” Darren smiled.

"Let's go, handsome men!" Laura beckoned

"Where are we going, Laura?”

"It doesn't matter as long as we leave here. Do you think Myron will not come back? He washumiliated. If he sees us still here, he will surely bring someone powerful and not hesitate to kill us!"Laura seldom looked that serious. Her face darkened.

"Laura is right!" Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I'll go back to the city with you. I think it's time for me to report my arrival. I came here by mistakebecause there was something wrong with the passageway.”

Darren was feeling better and decided to go to the Holy City first.

"Don't rush, Darren," said Laura.

"Is there anything else?" Darren replied.

"Of course there is. Do you think I came here just to save you? I didn't even know who you werebefore today.”

Hearing Laura's words, Arvin asked, "Has the elder sent you here on a mission? We can help you ifyou need some assistance!"

"My, Arvin. You are such a sweet boy!" Laura sighed.

Laura's voice made everyone except Darren and Chaz melt with pleasure.

Some of the other disciples had already been fascinated by this strange, beautiful woman but weredetermined not to show it.
