The Alpha & Beta's Regret -
The Alpha & Beta’s Regret – Chapter 151
Victor POV
Victor’s eyes snapped open as pain shot through his entire body. He gasped out loud into his darkened bedroom as he tried to get himself out of his bed in a rush, got tangled in the sheets and fell from the actual bed, onto his hands and knees. Felt Bane howl inside of him, as they felt Zoe sever herself from him.
They had felt that before, felt it sear through them as much now as it had done then, they might be rejected mates, but it still freaking hurt like a b***h and had him staggering about inside his bedroom, as he tried to stand up.
‘Silla?’ he gasped down the mind-link, trying to replace out what was going on down there.
Vic Vic.’ She answered him as always.
‘Zoe? What is wrong with her?’ he gasped out, knew Silla would sense his pain down that mind-link but that would just make her want to help him even more. ‘Check on her.’
‘In her cell. Is fine.’ Came the reply, a moment later.
He knew Addi was in that cell with Zoe. If she had found out what Zoe was to him, she could harm her to hurt him.
He yanked his pants on finally as he pulled himself together and stepped out of his suite. Only to feel another sever from him, put a hand on the wall and steadied himself, knew who it was, Betty, one of the other women down there in his cells.
Snarled out into the hallway and just knew that Addison had convinced them to reject him, they’d all done it before at some point while being down there. Could do it at will as any pack member could, turn themselves rogue if they so choose to.
Anyone could reject their Alpha and his pack, but they were all in their cells and he was going to just bleed them back to him, like he had done before, what were they all playing at. Stupidly letting Addison get to them, risking his wrath and punishment. They should all know better.
Headed for his office to get his pack’s ceremonial blade, so he could bleed them all back to him, he was going to force that connection back to them as harshly as he could before beating the hell out of them.
Felt another sever from him as he went down the stairs and bloody missed a step and fell down the flight of stairs to the landing below, snarled out all angrily, after laying there for a moment completely stunned. Oh, Addi was going to pay for this, whatever her plan was, he was going to punish her for it.
Roared in full anger as he felt another pack member sever from him, he knew it was Zoe’s mother Lidia. Now that made him completely furious. Mind-linked to Dane ‘Get your a*s up.” He yelled right at the man “Zoe severed from me and so had Lidia, hunt the mother now.” He roared at his Gamma.
‘On it.” was the only reply.
Victor felt them all sever from him one at a time as he made his way to his office. All of his women down there had somehow been convinced by Addison to sever from him, likely she was just trying to cause him pain and trouble.
He knew that they were all still down there in the cells, had felt them down there, had been focused on them from the moment Betty had severed herself. Each one of them was still in their cell, it was all just a game of some sort. They couldn’t actually get out of those cells, he knew that each cell was tailored to the half-breed in it.
It was not a very nice feeling to be severed from each of his women. Despite his use of them, they were his and no one else was allowed to touch them. He considered them his concubines, was attached to them, had children to six of them and was hoping to get more as well.
Walked out of his office with his pack blade in his hand only to hear a fight had broken out on the first floor, turned and looked up there to see Dane fighting, actually in a physical fight, all wolfed out even. Was fighting with Rhyse’s cougar up there in the first-floor hallway.
A wolf verses a cougar, both of them in their shifted form.
He stood there for a minute just watching it. He had a cell full of women downstairs to deal with and had a beating to give to Addison herself. She was not going to survive this intact. He’d not contacted those two pricks yet, had intended on doing so in the morning. Now he might have to delay that, seeing as she was going to be covered in bruises come morning, hell in less than an hour. She was going to replace herself in a world of pain, seeing that she was the one setting off his anger.
“Dane, get a hold of that b***h already. He shot down the mind-link to his Gamma, only to hear the man roar as he turned and headed for the door that led down to his cells. It was still closed and hadn’t been tampered with from what he could see.
He felt his Gamma sever from him, and a massive roar ripped out of him as he felt his man die, he was going to have to deal with his women, Zoe, and Addison later. Shot off up the stairs after Rhyse’s beast himself. Saw her cougar racing away down the first-floor hallway, he shot himself past Dane’s dead wolf. It had a full set of claw marks on its neck and b***d was pouring out of it onto the floor had severed his carotid artery by the look of it. That freaking cat was agile and always landed on its feet.
He was racing down the hallway after that thing. She was going to die tonight, he’d kill her himself now, she was done inside this pack. Watched as that cougar leaped right through the glass window at the end of the hall and right out of the packhouse a full one story drop to the ground, knew she’d survive it, as would he.
Went right out that window after her, didn’t even hesitate, that drop to the ground was nothing to him and Bane, only to feel Rhyse sever from him right as he cleared the window himself. Gasped in pain, too many were severing from him all at the same time and it was causing him pain, he crashed to the ground himself couldn’t land that jump.
Watched as she fled away north at full speed, he didn’t think that he could catch her, knew that thing was much faster than any wolf, and even though he was an alpha wolf and Bane had shifted them to help with the hunting and catching of her. That cat was still pulling away from his wolf as they shot after her through the woods.
Mind-linked to his border patrol to contain her at all cost, shed just killed the pack Gamma. He was trying to mind-link to the patroller of the section of border she was headed right for and couldn’t. There wasn’t anyone on that section of the border that he could feel. Focused on the others, they were all there, just not this particular section.
His border patrollers were all well trained and loyal to him… snarled as he realised all bar one. Realised that it was likely to have been Lidia out here on border patrol tonight who hed also felt sever from him, that b***h had severed herself and fled off into rogue territory.
‘Zoe?’ he shot at Bane ‘Leave Rhyse, replace Zoe.’ They skidded to a stop and turned back for the packhouse. He used both Zoe and Lidia as leverage against each other to control them both. If Lidia had just severed herself and fled the pack, she had to have been in contact with Zoe.
But how was the question? Lidia had a full Alpha’s Order on her to automatically connect to him if Zoe connected to her or she tried to connect to Zoe, so he knew what those two were talking about, plotting or planning an escape.
This was not happening to him. How could it happen?
Shot into the packhouse and shifted back to access the door to his cells and go downstairs, only to feel Silla sever from him when he was rushing down there, stumbled over and fell all the way down them. Landed on the floor in a world of pain, even Bane was howling in pain at the broken bone in their ankle. “NO.” he grated out, she would never sever from him, loved him, he was her Vic Vic.
There was no way in hell Addison had managed to kill her.
She couldn’t, wasn’t that strong or fast, and was locked in that cell across from Silla. Picked himself up from the floor, snarled at Bane to fix his ankle, got roared at by his own beast as he stood and hobbled to the door, hauled it open, kind of had to hop through the doorway into the cells.
Came to a halt as he saw all the doors down here were wide open.
His eyes widened as he realised that he could not see any of his women, took several painful steps down the hallway, only to see that tank explode and water was suddenly pouring out of it into the cells, rushing towards him. He knew how much water that tank held. Only part of it could be seen.
It stood a full 8 feet above the floor level, and reached 20 feet down the hallway, but it was 50 meters long as well, went under the packhouse and outside of it, had to be large to keep Silla and her Siren happy. There was going to be at least 22 thousand I**/*s of water coming into this room.
Turned and headed back the way he came, slammed that door behind him and less than a minute later, saw water bleeding through from under the door and into his stairwell. Stared at it completely dumbfounded by what was going on. Nothing could break that glass, nothing, but Silla herself.
He made his way back up the stairs had no choice. The area was going to be flooded in a matter of minutes. Stood there leaning on the door back inside the packhouse, furious as to all that was going on within his pack. Just one bloody day here inside this pack and Addison had turned Silla against him. Leaned on that door as he felt Bane healing him finally, he couldn’t bloody go anywhere until his ankle was fixed. How had she done that? Turned Silla on him?
They’d not come up and out of the cells into the packhouse, to get out. So that only left one way out, through Silla’s tank, which meant that Silla had to have helped them. Victor doubted very much any of them could hold their breath for that 40 meter underwater swim from one open end of the tank to the other open end outside of the packhouse. But he knew that Silla could swim it damned fast in a few seconds at full speed. If she’d helped them, held onto them, she could get them from one opening to the other in record time.
Mind-linked to his warriors about the escape that was underway, to hunt his women, they’d all severed and would scent of rogues, to track them and bring them back to his office. ‘Beware of Silla, she too has gone rogue and could see all of you as threats. He muttered out.
Victor felt fear roll off of his warriors they’d or most of them, would have seen some of the pack be dealt with by Silla before, he couldn’t even mind-link to her to talk her around to him once more. Knew he could, if he could just get to her; undo whatever damage Addison had done.
He was getting mind-links from all over the pack about fighting going on, shifted beasts’ taking on his warriors and Silla was there backing them up, using that call on his own pack, out over near the house where his children were.
She was out there actively fighting the pack members shed grown up here with, defending those women as they were trying to take back their children. Those children he knew would recognise their parental bond to their mothers. This was not good.
He snarled out all his anger, a full Alpha Wolf roar in the packhouse, at the s**t that was going on within his pack.
That he couldn’t get out there and assist in the recapture of his women. ‘Hurry up Bane.’ He yelled at his beast to freaking heal him already.
Everything he had worked on all these years was now just falling apart and all because he’d brought Addison here.
One bloody half-breed with a Siren daughter of her own.
That bloody venom in her veins was what had been his undoing.
He just knew that Addison had somehow gotten Silla or her beast to realise what flowed in those veins of hers, make her believe she was not the only Siren out there. That he, Victor, had been lying to her all this time, had made a Siren to Siren connection with her.
It was the only explanation that allowed for Silla to change sides, and now all his plans were falling apart. He’d played the long game, to get here, only to now realise he’d brought the wrong bait for his trap. Should have bloody used Thatcher.
