The Alpha & Beta's Regret
The Alpha & Beta’s Regret – Chapter 171

Luci POV

Luci and Kali relinquished all control over to Alari as they dove under the water, and were shifted to their Siren form.

This was her domain and her father’s pack, this was for Alari to do, go and replace her own kin. They hit the water and she was gone swimming away from everyone that had come with them.

The moment they dived into the water, they all felt it though, the connection to the lake itself. The cold temperature of the water did not bother them and this lake, their father’s pack, Tor Vale Mere they now knew, was much colder than their own lake, a place Alari had named Tern Atman Mere.

Which translated from Siren language to Wolfen as Three Spirit Lake. Shed named it after herself, being that there were three of them in the one body. She’d seen it to be fitting also knew the twins would one day swim in her lake so again three of them together, so fitting once more. Had known that three Sirens would be living in it, so its name had many meanings to Alari.

Even now as she swam within Tor Vale Mere, she was looking for three Sirens that had once been going to be hers, she stilled at the centre of the lake and sang her Sirens song, but today it was one of longing not sadness.

A longing to meet her own kin, there was a hint of love and joy in her harmonic song as she sank herself down to the very bottom of the lake and settled down there, laying on the lake floor.

She was calling to the other Sirens that lived here within the lake, that had sadly been left behind, because Addison had not been a Siren herself, and could not live in the water, had not been able to take them with her when she had fled, had been told by her Mate to run he had wanted to save her and their unborn daughter. Likely she now understood from a life worse than death in Victor’s clutches as a baby, to be raised by him like Silla.

She felt the movement of the current across their skin before they saw them, turned over on her belly and looked at the three Sirens all coming this way, one in front and two behind, Torren the male in front of the other two.

She lifted herself up off the lake floor and bowed her head to them all as they stilled at the sheer size of her they thought, because they knew she was here could hear her.

They were around the size of Silla, Torren she noted was larger than the other two girls, was she saw their protector she could see, kept them both behind him.

Saw him tilt his head as he looked at her, down here inside the water she could see as clearly as Luci and Kali could up on the land, “I am Alari. Lucian’s daughter to your lost Luna Addison. She has brought me home now that it is safe to return.”

They watched as Torren, a pale green Siren with white hair, moved closer to her. “Safe?” he asked in return.

“Yes, the one who killed all here, has now been killed by myself with the help of Mother. You are all safe now.” She told them, allowed her Alpha Siren aura to be displayed but not push it at them, just so that they could understand who she was and really believe what she was telling them as the truth.

“Alpha.” They all stated after a moment.

Alari opened her arms to them and all three of them came to her, and she hugged them all to her, then a moment later was being slid along by all three of them, swimming along her, touching her and getting to know her, the Siren way

Happiness rolled off of Alari and she rolled over and wound herself around them, touching them all and bonding with them. Then she just sang for the fist time a happy song, one her new pack sang with her, just seemed to know it by instinct. A song of joy and love passed down by their inherited knowledge.

Then they were all swimming freely together, all four of them happy and contented within the lake. She did not ask them to give her their names, they would tell her when they were ready to.

Alari found herself playing in amongst the long reed of seaweed on the lake floor with one of the female Sirens.

She was quick and liked darting in and out and around all the seaweed, hiding and popping out at Alari. She was dark green in colour with brown hair, much like Riva was ” Harmony.” She told Alari as she shot out at her and hugged her and rolled over her in greeting.

Alari hugged her back, knew it was the Siren’s human name, pressed her cheek to the top of her head in a welcoming and loving gesture “Coral.’ The little Siren looked up at her with a smile.

“Welcome Coral, Harmony, My apologies that it took so long to come back and get you.” and she was.

Then found the male Siren was with her a few minutes later as Coral swam around more in the seaweed. “Torren,” he stated, and rolled over her in the water his tail curling around hers and then letting go “Stone.” He swam right up to her and touched his forehead to hers.

“Welcome Stone, Torren. You are the rock that holds strong and have protected your remaining pack. I am deeply grateful for one such as yourself, to be left in charge.

Thank you.” she bowed her head to him.

The last to introduce herself was Cadence, and she had swam away awhile ago, just left their group while she had been playing with Coral, though Alari could feel her. Out there in the lake, and when she came back on her own, swam right up to her, her long black hair all splayed out around her and her dark blue tail, curled up slightly behind her, as were her hands, watched as she bowed low and murmured “I am Cadence, would have been next to you our long lives.”

The Beta so to speak, Luci thought to herself, didn’t actually know how Sirens ranked themselves. She herself still had a lot to learn and understand about her own kind.” I Jitter have kept this safe for your return.” And then she brought her hands to the front of her and in them was a blade for her to take. She knew it was her father’s blade.

Could actually feel the connection to it as she accepted it,when it was laid into her own hands, it was a small blade, with a stone handle and a small clear gem set on the end of the handle itself., the blade was not that long, only four inches, and was completely black in colour, was etched all over with scales, though as she turned it over in her hand there was a real Siren scale imbedded into it on the other side.

Alari knew on pure instinct that it was her father, Lucian’s scale, really looked at it, touched it and smiled, a piece of him forever within the blade. Saw as she looked to the other side of the blade and empty place ready for the next scale to go. Understood now what all the etchings were, for the future Alpha’s to place their own scales on and have it imbued to the blade.

She looked to all three of the Sirens here in the lake, now before her and then reached down and pulled a single scale from her own tail and placed it against the blade where the next scale was to go. Watched as the blade glowed an opalescent black and blue and then her scale was imbedded right into the blade itself. It was now her blade to use to initiate Sirens into her pack.

She watched as all three of the Sirens, Stone, Jitter and Coral all bowed to her and held out their hands to her.

Smiled at them knew they wanted her to initiate them. “My family.” She addressed them “I have another lake for us all to live in, it is larger and safer to be in, protected not just by 1, but by wolves and witches as well.” She told them “I would like you all to come to our new home. Tern Atman Mere, there is another Siren there Silla, Riva. Like you, like myself was lonely and in need of a pack. Please come with . me, there I will make us all one pack and you can meet my sons.”

She saw all three of them look right at her now “Pups?” they all asked hopefully in a bare whisper.

“Yes, I have two Mates, wolves that love me, I am not just a Siren, am Triune. Wolf, Witch and Siren. No one will ever harm us again.”

Found herself hugged by all three of them, hugged them back, knew they just wanted to live a nice quiet peaceful life, like all Sirens did; would give them that. “Mother is at her old home waiting to meet you all once more.” Chuckled softly as both Stone and Jitter were gone in a flash, swimming furiously for their past Luna’s cabin. Coral stayed with her, had not met Addison before, didn’t seem to have the attachment the other two had.

She and Coral made their way back at a much more sedate pace, surfaced near the jetty to see that her mother was in the water with both Torren and Cadence, both had shifted to their human form. And they were just standing there hugging her to them, they were all standing in waist-deep water.

She felt Coral move closer to her a little after seeing the others standing waiting on them. “None here will harm you.

” she reassured her “That is mother Addison, Lucian’s Mate, she will love you on the spot… There,” Alari’s eyes moved to Jack who was standing on the jetty looking down at her in the water “Is one of my Mate’s, Alpha Jack. He is gentle and kind, playful, you will like him.” She saw Jack smile right at her.

Slide those dark green eyes of his over her half-naked body, and knew what he was thinking. Shook her head slightly at him. “and there.” She pointed out Allen and Hannah “is the witch that protects our children, she is also Triune, has two sisters born at the same time as her. Hannah, Aalyiah and Giannah.”

Alari saw Coral look up at her and shook her head murmured softly “Do not call them HAG, when they are together. It maybe funny to you, not so much to witches.” She told her “That man with her is her Mate Allen.”

“One Mate, three witch’s?” Coral asked curiously

“Mm, very Siren like of him.” Alari nodded simply.

She encouraged all of them to hop out of the water and get out of the lake, made the introductions, Addison chuckled softly when Jack handed them clothes to put on and he got stared at by all of them blankly.

“Sirens don’t usually wear clothes, live in the water 90% of the time,

have no need of clothes.”

Jack had looked right at her “Lucian?” hed enquired

“Always naked.” She smiled.

Luci smiled up at him and murmured “Lucky I grew up as a wolf, huh.”

“Hm, I’m thinking I’d have preferred you strolling around naked all the time.” He grinned right at her.

She could only laugh at him herself now, at the l**t-filled look he was giving her. “After the full moon, I want to go swimming with Alari and so does Flare.” He told her all deep and huskily.

Luci shook her head, she knew he just wanted to mate Alari, “That might have to wait. Kali wants to run with Flare and Solar after the moon sets. Alari wants to wait until after the Luna Ceremony to swim with you and Rafe both.”

He raised an eyebrow at her. “Really that’s a month away?”

He frowned at her.

She chuckled softly “Can’t you wait Jack?” she teased him just a little, she knew that Alari did not actually want to wait at all. She was just playing with him.

“No, I’ll not make a month, and neither will Flare for that matter.” He stepped right up to her and slid his arms around her, “Definitely not make a whole month without loving Alari.” He growled all softly down at her.

She smiled right up at him, felt Alari’s happiness at his statement, but continued the game “It’s not up to me, good luck getting Alari to do anything before she wants to.” He just smiled “‘ll seduce her good and proper, do everything she wants me to.” He murmured all softly. She chuckled more and knew Alari was going to let him.

Hannah explained to the new Sirens being blipped back to the pack, how many wolves were there even, within the pack itself, and though it might seem frightening and make them a little anxious, no harm would come to them at all.

Alari confirmed this, as did Jack himself and they all stood together and Hannah blipped them back to the pack. Right out the front of the packhouse. Where she found Rafe and the boys standing on the steps waiting for them all.

She saw him smile right at her, and smiled right back at him as the boys gasp “Mamma, Sirens.”

“Yes,” she told them and introduced everyone. Both the boys were in front of the new Sirens in a flash, smiling up at them, really bonded quickly to other Sirens. She smiled as she leaned into Rafe and watched the boys chat to their new family, hug them and just be their happy little selves.

She sighed softly as she leaned on Rafe’s chest. Everything was finally good, no more pain where Rafe and Jack were concerned, and she knew Alari was happy with all the Siren’s around her and Kali was enjoying being amongst other wolves. She finally felt whole and completely at one with herself.

Luci felt Rafe’s lips touch the top of her head as he hugged her. “I missed you.” he murmured softly, “Both of you.” She knew he was looking at Jack, who was smiling at the two of them. They’d been gone all morning, the sun was now high in the sky.
