The Alpha & Beta's Regret -
The Alpha & Beta’s Regret Epilogue
Jack POV
Jack had worked tirelessly over the past month along with Rafe and so many of their pack’s builders and planners. A couple of the elders from the city base had even come back to the pack to help with the project he and Rafe had envisaged for the Luna’s ceremony.
Luci had told them she didn’t want anything big and fancy, that she would be happy with a simple sit-down, formal dinner that anyone who wanted to attend could. Alari didn’t want anything at all, as a Siren they never had a ceremony, just fell in love, mark and mate, then live quietly. Kali didn’t seem to care much either, understood the wolfen protocols and procedures, but was aligned with both Luci and Alari, didn’t even mind if there was no ceremony, was just happy to be with them.
Luci nor either of her beasts were any help to them for her own Luna Ceremony, and not Addison, Diana or even his own mother Florence, had gotten anything out of her about what she wanted, though she liked the idea of a dress that was at least something.
She’d simply shrugged and stated I’m not a big flashy person, and though they knew she never had been, they wanted to spoil her, show her how much they loved her and felt blessed to have her as their mate.
Shed stared at all of them when they’d presented a united front on the subject, not just he and Jack, but their unit, Hannah and her sisters, lan’s new Mate Zoe. But also, the previous Alpha and Luna and all their Mates, along with Addison, hed even wrangled Thatcher into a video call to help persuade her. It was tradition and she did know this.
She also knew they wanted to do this. In the end, she had just looked at them all, shook her head and smiled, then stated you may all go nuts, but you do it. I’m happy with a pig on a spit’ and stood her ground.
So, he and Rafe had planned it all, and they had wanted to incorporate all sides of her Triune nature into this event and it was now a full event. They’d gained permission with the help of Alpha Austin to claim nearly a quarter of Lake Pend Orielle as part of their pack. The rest of the lake was considered Tern Atman Mere, was Alari and her Sirens pack and 4 Sirens lived in it all the time. Alari had now initiated all four of her Sirens into her pack, though that had been done within the bottom of the lake.
She’d gone in with her new Sirens and then the boys had just jumped in after Alari and not come out, had shifted into their Siren forms to go after their mother and be apart of the initiation, be part of that pack themselves as was their right, seven Sirens down there in total.
A small Siren pack but one he knew would be accepting of others into it if they stumbled upon it and wanted to be with the other sirens. Small but strong and all closely bonded from what he had seen.
The boys had come back with Alari and presented themselves to he, Rafe and Addison, who’d all been waiting on the shore line for them to return. They were two small Sirens still had some serious growing to do. It had surprised everyone that the boys Siren Wolfs shared the same name, were still called Astral and Spark.
Astral’s Siren form had a long black scaled tail, but his tail fins were white and Sparks Siren form had a long white scaled tail with black tail fins. Both of them had those black eyes of a Siren and the opalescent skin on their torso and arms and face, just like all Sirens seemed to have
They had all smiled proudly at the boys and Addison had practically gushed and hurried into the water to hug them in their siren forms. No one had expected them to shift that day, it had shocked them all bar their mother. She’d just smiled down at them lovingly.
He was pretty certain that they would all look just like Luci when in her true Triune form when they decided to shift to that. It was going to be a sight to see that was a certainty.
The boys had gone off nearly every day with their mother to play with the Sirens after school. Stayed on land on the weekends. That was something he and Rafe had to get used to.
He and Rafe had also requested the open land that resided between them and the edge of the town, where they’d had that war with Victor, to be given to them to expand their pack. It was all cleared land and now was a part of their pack as well. Had been granted to them due to the increase in wolves they’d gotten.
That piece of land they had acquired was tonight filled with row upon row of tables, with long sheets of material stretched out over them up on arborers to make it like a ceiling. The material were soft shades of green, blue and cream and the arborers at either ends supporting them were covered in white fairy lights, with two strings of fair lights between each sheet of material, the whole place was going to be a twinkling wonderland
They had enough tables all laid out to seat every single person in their pack plus the guests. They would all be seated at long tables all joined together to seat 40, on either side of the isle that Luci would walk down, everyone facing forward. No one would miss this event, there were 32 rows all lined up here so that no one would be left out and all could attend.
The tables themselves were covered in dark blue and dark green table cloths, with a shear cream overlay and each table had many bowls of floating candles running down the centre of them, and long flower centre pieces at the front of each table.
He and Rafe had picked out soft cream and apricot dahlia flower pieces and mixed in a variety of dusky pink roses as well.
But their masterpiece was the floating glass runway out to a glass platform. They had, had to have it built, was a 15-meter runway out into the lake itself and was secured with posts sunken into the lake floor. It had three steps up onto a large glass raised platform so that all here would be able to see the Luna being presented to them.
The platform itself was made of thick glass, which had to be custom made just for the event, and was now securely locked into place. This part was for Alari and her Sirens, so that they could see her as well, from anywhere they chose 1o above or below the water.
Up here at the end where he was standing was another arborer with three smaller pieces of material that matched the rest of the seating, it also had fairy lights decorating it.
The glass runway was lit up with lights as well, like a bridal runway, they’d been trying to decide the best way to light it when Piper had over heard them and state “Let me help on that, you just need bridal runway lighting.” And she’d send over the details for what shed meant. It looked amazing she had been right.
Along both sides of the top platform were the same flowers but in tall elegant floral centre pieces and directly behind where they were going to present Luci to their pack officially was a circular arch way. Jack had that designed by the man who’d done the pack gate and all the railing work inside the packhouse. He was a master crafter.
It was made from intricately crafted wrought iron and on either side of it were two howling wolves and the arch that went from one wolf to the other was made as a Siren. She had a shining tail which had been inlaid with hundreds of hand-crafted rainbow moonstones cut to shape like scales and polished to a high shine. They’d not known about Alari in the beginning and realised that up on that wall in her old room they had written ‘I love Luci, I love Kali’. But Alari had not been there then, so this arborer was for Alari, to show her that they, Solar and Flare, both loved her as much as they did Luci and Kali.
This archway was going to be placed into the packs formal garden. It was going to be the entrance for it so that all who walked in there got to see it.
The moon was rising already, thankfully it was a cloudless sky tonight, and though it was summer the night had a gently blowing breeze and was not too hot, it was a perfect night for showing Selena how grateful they were to her for granting Luci to them.
Jack was standing with Rafe and the boys up on that platform, out on the lake waiting on Luci’s arrival. All four of them were wearing the same thing; custom-made suits which were tailored to their own wolves. They were wearing black dress pants and shoes, with a crisp white shirt, a black tie with a white low curved breast line and three black buttons that buttoned from their right chest down on an angle to their naval, and had defined points to each bottom hem. Their jackets were black but had white lapels and were left undone and both he and Rafe wore a rainbow moonstone inlaid tie pin with a white gold Crescent Moon dangling from the end of it.
They stood waiting with their guests for Luci’s arrival. She would arrive in their car, had told her no blipping into the ceremony, she’d just chuckled at them, thought it was very funny to blip herself away from them and their attentions when in bed or out in the woods.
Still liked to have them hunt her before mating her, was more mischievous now. Apparently that was actually a Siren trait and shed been known over the past month to just blip herself into the lake, thought it was very funny or Alari did, was Alari’s way of telling them she wanted to mate them in the water.
Finally, he saw her car pull up down the other end and Addi helped Luci out. He couldn’t not smile at her, though they’d both said mermaid style, she’d not gone with it he thought, it was more of a Trumpet-style gown. Though he still thought she looked amazing.
It had a sweetheart neckline, it was a lovely lace figure-hugging dress that had a deep blush-coloured underlay with cream lace over the top. It hugged every inch of her till just below her bottom and then fell away in three distinct tiers. They were evenly portioned down her long legs and grew in the amount of tule layers, giving it that Trumpet shape, each tear had a full lace trim with embossed flowers that ran up the material and faded out to a fine point about half way up each of the tears.
He watched as Addison set the dress and realised it had a one-meter train, looked at her as she walked towards them and liked the way her hair was pulled half up, and swept back behind her head parted on the side gently and loosely. He could see the headband she wore, thin and delicate and glittered in the twinkling lights as she came towards them, and knew it was made of Tahitian and white pearls with a few crystal beads mixed in for a sparkle effect. She had several large curling stands of hair framing her face, she looked more than beautiful, utterly stunning.
The jewellery he and Rafe had picked out for her to wear, was not at all flashy, she wouldn’t like that, but instead it had an understated beauty. They’d bought her something to match her headband. It may not look flashy to the untrained eye, but was a 2.88carat diamond, platinum Y chain necklace with a large 16 by 12ml Tahitian pearl, with a matching set of Tahitian pearl drop earrings.
They had not told her how much it had cost, and didn’t think she’d wear it if she knew. To them it had been nothing, only thirty thousand dollars, but to Luci it would seem too much, and they wanted her to wear it every day.
She’d liked it when they had given it to her this morning, had smiled right at them and told them she liked that it was simple and not flashy, and they’d hugged her and said nothing other than they were glad she liked it. They had taken their cue from her and gotten it right, made both he and Rafe happy to know they had gifted her something she really liked
Addi walked her all the way down between the tables but stopped at the last one and motioned for her to walk on her own from there. Sat herself at a table with Piper and Bradley. Jack heard Addison thank Piper for the beautiful dress shed made and he’d seen Piper just smile and nod, but say nothing.
Luci walked all the way to them. He could see her looking at the arch behind them, saw Alari push forward and look at it herself, smiled even before receding. She stepped between them and turned to look at the watching crowd right as the moon set, and she bowed her head slightly to the entire pack and their guests.
He and Rafe spoke separately, thanking their Moon Goddess Selena for not only creating such a beautiful creature, so vibrant and unique, but for granting Luci as a Goddess Gifted Mate to the pair of them. For granting both of them to each other even. How lucky they felt to have Luci as their Mate and Luna.
That they were not only proud to be Luci’s Mate but to be Mated to Kali, who they addressed and asked to come forward, spoke directly to her, told her they loved her, both of them kissed her and both Flare and Solar purred for her, made Kali actually blush.
Then they addressed Alari and she came forward, as did Flare and Solar now. Their two beasts stated how much they loved Alari. Liked her cheeky nature and thought she was not only amazing. But so strong, a loving and caring Siren to not only Luci and Kali, the boys, but also her new Siren pack, they had told her she was so very beautiful in Siren form and were proud to be her Mates. Then they had both kissed her long and slow one after the other, before receding so he and Rafe could express they loved her as well.
But it was Luci who surprised them, surprised everyone, she shifted to her Triune state and showed the entire pack what she was, stood there and declared herself as not only the Luna to their Pack, but the Alpha to Tern Atman Mere, and a witch of the Light Kingdom, stated to all “I am a Triune and I will do my very best to not only protect our two packs, but to unite all the species or our three kinds.” Had bowed low to them all.
Had just announced herself to their world, for all to know what she was, Jack had known shed been spending a lot of time with Hannah and her sisters, though she didn’t speak of what went on out there. Wasn’t required to that was witch’s business. But now he guessed this was why, perhaps Hannah had foreseen her true purpose and told her.
She had stood and smiled from him to Rafe, then kissed him softly before kissing Rafe in the same manner. There was much clapping to be heard. To everyone’s delight and shock, Riva, Stone, Jitter and Coral all rose up above the water and started to sing. Their song was a soft love ballad. He could feel the love and hope in their singing, much like everyone else here could.
Those four Sirens were happy for their Alpha to have found love, real love, and were expressing it in the way they all knew best, for all to hear.
