Chapter 102

EVANS

POV

I didn't like locking Rosie up. I knew she was getting tired of it even before she told me but I didn't know what to do. I haven't caught the bastard yet so I have no other choice but to lock her up. I don't know who is the insider and I didn't want to take chances

because who knows maybe the person is closed to us. I have to get a link quickly.

When I heard her talking to her friends earlier, I decided to just let them go over and keep her company at least it will make her feel better even if it's for a little while. Asking my dad for permission wasn't so easy because he didn't want anyone apart from family to see her. It seems he was more protective to her than I was. I was happy when he finally agreed for Maria and Angel to enter the room to see Rosie. I wanted to join them to see Rosie happy smile but I couldn't because of I was busy.

"I have called all the neighboring Alphas to ask them if they found any den of rogues close to them but they found non. I'm guessing that bastard really knew how to hide his tracks so well. It's been weeks and yet we haven't caught a link yet." my dad said. Nate, Smith, their fathers and I were in his office discussing on the issue.

"I must say they are very brilliant. They know just when not to attack. It really seems they really have eyes on this pack and they know our every move." Hunter, Smith dad said.

"I am sorry but with all due respect alpha, I think we can't continue locking Rosie up for a long time. It seems they are not going to do anything for now and we are only punishing her." Nate said looking at my dad.

"I will agree with my son Bryan. Staying in one place for that long is not good for the health and it can be exhausting. I can't imagine what she is going through being locked up for days."Nate's father, Brandon said.

I felt a burden left my chest as I heard both father and son. It was s good thing that not only me felt for Rosie. I honestly can't imagine myself staying indoor for few hours not more to talk of days. I might lose my mind after the fifth hour but she stayed for days. I actually wanted to talk to my dad about this in private but since the issue was brought up here, it's better to talk about it with everyone.

"Brandon you know I'm doing this for her safety. We can't let our guard down. We don't know what does bastards are planning." my dad said.

"If you ask me, I really think our enemy is not going to attack not until we act first." hunter said.

"How do you mean?" my dad asked. Even myself was curious to what he meant by what he meant by till we act first.

"I mean we need to release Rosie. If it is actually what I'm thinking that they are waiting till she is released before they attack, then I think it's better we free her and use her to get to them." Hunter said making me growl at him. "What do you mean by we will use her? Hunter are you forgetting she is my son's mate and the future Luna of this pack? We can't just throw her into the hands of that bastard." my dad said to his best friend.

"Chill Bryan you are getting what I said all wrong. That's not what I mean. What I actually meant was since we know that they know we locked Rosie up and are not making any move until we release her, why don't we do what they are waiting for. Let's release Rosie so she can finally be free. We can let her walk around but she will be watched closely by guards who will standing in the shadows. They will watch her every move and will capture any strange person lurking around her. We can set a trap for our enemy by doing that." I thought about what he said and truth be told what he said made a bit of sense. It seems like a nice idea. Maybe just maybe we can finally replace a link to the bastard who thinks he can have my mate as his.

I looked at my dad waiting for what he has to say about this.

"I have listened to your explanation Hunter but I have to give it a thought because I don't want us to make a mistake." my dad said.

"Well I totally understand. You can think about it." Smith dad answered.

"Well let's wrap up already. It's getting late and we need rest so we can continue looking for leads tomorrow." my Dad said as he stood up.

We all left the office one after the other. Nate, and Smith followed me upstairs because they were sure their mates where still in my house with Rosie.

Thinking about Rosie, I missed her so much. I left so early to check out for any leads so I couldn't watch her wake up. We didn't talk since after our last night quarrel. I didn't like fighting with her. I knew she didn't mean to act that way with me yesterday and I have to try my best to understand her more to than anyone else. I just hope she is not mad at me for yesterday. I hope she will forgive me since I allowed her friends to spend time with her.

I can't wait to pull her in my arms and take in her amazing scent.

I walked to the door and waited for the guards who were standing by the door to open it so I could enter. When they opened it, I entered leaving Smith and Nate outside. They are not allowed to enter because that was the rules and orders my father gave them not to allow anyone except him, myself and my mother.

I entered and it was so funny that these girls didn't realize the time had gone. When I saw their faces, I knew exactly what they spent their day on. Rosie and Maria didn't look bad in their makeover but I honestly can't say the same for Angel. She looked so f*****g hilarious. It was hard to hold my laugher in.

After they had left, I went to take a bath. I didn't know what to say to Rosie. I wasn't sure whether she was going to talk to me or not after all I made her get angry yesterday. After I was done bathing, I was surprised when she wrapped her hands around me and apologized. Her statement surprised me.

"Evans I'm sorry but please can you stop ignoring me?"

I turned to look at her.

"What do yo mean I'm ignoring you Rosie? I'm not ignoring you at all." I answered her truthfully.

"But you left without saying a word to me in the morning." she gave me a cute pout.

"I'm sorry about that but I wanted to check on something urgently so I left so early before you woke up. Infact I regretted not waiting for you to wake up. I should have waited because I missed you so much throughout the day." I said to her.

I watched as her pout changed into a smile.

"I missed you too. Also I want to say thank you so much for letting Angel and Maria to come over. It means a lot to me." she thanked me.

I sat up and leaned my back on the bed. My eyes were fixed on her face as I held her hands gently.

"Rosie you don't need to thank me for anything instead I should be apologizing for putting you into all these stress. Also I'm sorry for not listening to you yesterday instead we quarrelled all because I was stubborn. My dad might agree to set you free from staying here." I said to her although I didn't know if my dad will really agree to let her leave the room.

She sat up and looked at me with wide eyes.

"Are you serious?" she asked.

"Well maybe. It's still under probation. We are not sure yet if he will agree to it but we talked about it today and I'm sure he might consider to let you go so don't worry." I said to her. She bounced on the bed in happiness.

"Finally I'm going to see the sun and feel the sand on my feets. I'm going to feel the fresh air hit my face. I'm so happy. I can't wait." she said feeling so excited.

I smiled as I looked at her.

"Thank you so much." she said.

"Hey don't thank me because I didn't do anything. Instead be thanking Smith's dad. He was the one who came up with an idea and suggested my dad let you go." I said to her. "I will thank him when next I see him." she said.

"Good now can we sleep already because I'm so tired and I need nothing but rest and sleep." I said to her yawning.

"Oh yes. I'm sorry for keeping you this late you can sleep now." she said smiling.

"Come here." I said to her as I opened my arms.

She moved to me and laid her head on my chest. I surrounded my hands around her as I took in her warmth. I began to sniff her as I began to calm down to her delicious scent. I shut my eyes and waited for sleep to come but I noticed that Rosie was feeling rather restless.

"Rosie can you sleep already so I can also get to sleep." I said to her with my eyes still closed.

"I'm sorry if I'm disturbing." she apologized.

I opened my eyes and turned to look at her.

"Tell me what's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong. Don't mind me." she quickly replied.

"Stop lying to me Rosie I know something is bothering you." I said to her.

"I was only thinking, will I be safe if I'm released tomorrow?" she asked.

"Don't worry you don't have to think about that because you will definitely be safe. I will protect you and stop any harm from coming your way." I said to her.

She looked into my eyes for some seconds before she said what made sleep leave my eyes and also made my heart skip a beat.

"Evans Bryan, I Rosie White accept you as my mate."
