LANDON POV

"LANDON EVANS WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BABY?"

I knew when Mum is angry and when she isn't angry or when she's faking it. But right now I can tell she's definitely angry and her anger is directed to me. I'm in serious shit. "Mum I can explain." I started.

"Start explaining why you beat your brother up." she said glaring angrily at me.

"Mum I didn't beat him. We had a little fight that's all." I said.

"Will you shut up. And do you really expect me to believe that you both fought? My Luca can't just fight with you even if he has no one to help him out he will never hit anyone." she was.

I looked at Luca and didn't miss the smirk on his face. Now I can tell this is a setup. I really can't believe that my own brother is full of mischief. I can now see that I know nothing about him. He is indeed full of surprises.

"Mum really believe me. Luca and I fought and we have settled already. I didn't beat him. You can ask Mira. Right buttercup?" I asked my mate knowing she's the only one who will have my back since the others are against me. "Mum his right. They both fought." Mira answered.

I turned to look at Luca and showed him my own smirk. Take that brother.

"But Mum it was Landon's fault in the first place." Mira added making my smirk to fall and I quickly turned to look at her.

"Buttercup!!!"

I couldn't believe she could do this to me. Why did she have to say the last part.

"Thank you so much Mira for telling me the truth. I know my Luca isn't the type to just fight like that. Landon definitely provoked him. Now you Landon, your punishment for not telling me the whole truth and for injuring my baby's handsome face is you won't eat dinner. You need to starve for a night to learn your lesson. Now go upstairs because we are about to have dinner." Mum said.

I opened my eyes wide not believing my eyes.

"But Mum I'm too big to be punished and also I was also injured by Luca just that mine healed faster than his. Mum please don't do this to me. Dad talk to her please." I begged.

"Sorry son I have no authority to change your mother's mind." Dad said.

This man. But if it's his beloved princess he won't allow Mum to punish her. Wow what amazing parents I have got. They only care about their other kids and not me. I'm heartbroken. No one loves me. Not even my mate who betrayed me.

I thought as I gave my mother a cute pout hoping she falls for it.

"Just know that I won't fall for that. If you like cry or give me a cute puppy look, I won't change my mind. Now off you go. We are hungry and we need to eat." mum said.

I let out a sigh of defeat and walked with my head down. I went to my room and sat on the bed. Immediately I sat down my stomach let out a loud grumble. I'm so hungry right now. If only I knew it will result to this, I would have eaten alot earlier. How am I going to sleep this night with anything in my tummy? I won't be able to sleep at all.

I sulked alone in my room. Sometimes my mind would go to my family members who are downstairs. I would sometimes think of the variety of food that was on the table. The thought of the food made me salivate more and my stomach kept grumbling and grumbling.

I can't take this any longer. My mind won't let me rest. I need to do something. I need to take some actions.

I stood and walked to the door and opened the bathroom. The only action I can take right now is to take a shower.

I pulled off my clothes and turned on the shower head allowing the water hit my back. As it kept hitting me I thought of how to get my revenge on my mate who betrayed me. I will call what she did betrayal because she is supposed to have my back since she's my mate but what did she do? Thanks to her I'm in this mess.

I didn't leave the bathroom until thirty minutes passed. I tied my towel around my waist before walking out of the bathroom. I stopped when I saw who was in the room.

"You stayed long in the bathroom. I thought you will never come out." Mira said smiling at me.

I turned and didn't answer her. Yes right now I have decided to ignore her as her punishment for telling on me. I don't know whether she ate and poured the food on her clothes because I can perceive the aroma of food. She just had to make me feel worst than before.

"Landon I'm talking to you." I heard her say but I didn't answer her. I wore some shorts and walked to the bed and lied down turning my back at her.

"Are you seriously ignoring me right now?" she asked.

I didn't answer.

"Landon answer me right now." she said but I refused to answer.

"Wow you are really ignoring me for real. That's nice. I wonder what I did to get such mean treatment from you." she said trying to act like the innocent one here but I won't let her because I'm the innocent one here not her.

"You betrayed me. Yes that's what you did." I said not turning my back to look at her.

"How did I betray you? I will never do such a thing to you." she said acting dense.

"Stop pretending like you don't know what I'm talking about buttercup. You told mum that it's my fault that's why I'm here hungry while you are there full and satisfied because you have eaten. Please don't bother me again. I don't want to the person who easily tells on her mate without covering up for him. Goodnight I'm going to sleep with my empty stomach." I said before adjusting my head on the pillow properly.

She didn't say anything for some seconds. The next thing she did made me pissed out. She laughed. Like she really laughed. I'm being serious here and she is laughing. Wow just wow. Amazing.

"Really Landon I don't know who is the baby among you and Luca. You really are so funny. So you are acting up because you think I betrayed you? I actually didn't betray you my love. I was only telling your mum the truth. She is my Luna so she deserves to hear the truth. I can't just lie to her. It will be a serious crime." She said but I ignored her.

"Alright fine am sorry. Next time I won't tell on you again. I will pretend I know nothing. Happy now? Please talk to me." she begged shaking me.

I hide my smile but still refused to talk to her.

"If you don't talk to me, I will take the food I brought for you back to the kitchen."

I quickly sat up on the bed and looked at her.

"Are you for real? You brought food for me? Where is it? Like you know I'm so hungry. I feel like I'm going to die of starvation." I said fast. She smiled and looked at me with her beautiful blue eyes.

"So you can now talk to me since I mentioned food? Nice. Now before I give the food to you tell me are you mad at me?" she asked.

"No buttercup. Not at all. Infact earlier I was just pulling your legs." I answered quickly. I only wanted to start eating immediately. "Will you ignore me after you have eaten?" she asked.

"Noooo..... nooo I won't ignore you. I will talk to you okay so please just give me the food already. I'm getting impatient." I said.

She brought out a plate that was covered from under the bed and kept it on the bed. She removed the cover up. My stomach let out a loud growl when my eyes saw the plate was full with different foods. I didn't waste any second. I quickly picked up the spoon and began to eat fast like the food was going to be snatched away from me.

"Landon eat gently. Stop rushing your food. It's not going anywhere. It's all yours so take it easy." Mira said but I didn't listen to her. I didn't say anything to her till I have finished all the food on the plate. I laid on the bed and rubbed my now full stomach. "Ahhh I feel so alive. Thanks so much buttercup for saving my life although you were the cause of everything but still thank you for the food." I said smiling.

"I didn't eat much. I fetched the one's I could get when I was sure mum wasn't looking at me. I knew you will be very hungry since it's been long you ate and I was feeling bad that you will sleep without eating that's why I risk bringing food to you." she said smiling. "You did a good thing. I'm very sure that if mum saw you, she will collect the food from you. So tell me what did you people talk about when I left. Hope no one talked about me? Has Luca and Grey gone home?" I asked.

"Yes they have gone home. And no, no one talked about you. No one even mentioned your name through out the meal. Dad announced that my mother's burial preparation is done. So we should get ready, tomorrow she will be buried." she said. "Finally she will be laid to rest. Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't think too much too. I'm very sure everything will be done smoothly and it will end perfectly." I said to her hoping my words comfort her.

"Am not thinking of anything Landon. I'm really fine. Like totally fine. Don't worry about me." she said smiling.

"Lets sleep then. Now that I have eaten, I am feeling sleepy." I said to her as I pulled her to lay on my chest.

"Goodnight buttercup."

"Goodnight Landon." she said.

I closed my eyes when I felt someone trying to mind link me so I brought down my wall to hear.

"Be lucky to have a mate who cares about you. I was about bringing food to you but she beats me to it so I let her be. And also don't ever think you are not important, I love you Landon so much and you are very important to me. Don't ever forget that. Okay son?" "Yes Mum. I love you too." I replied with a smile on my face.
