PARKER

POV

"Baby stop crying please. I will be back before you know it." I tried to stop my mate from crying her eyes out but she refused to listen to me.

"It's not my wish to cry like this. It's the hormones that's killing me. Our baby is feeling so sad that his dad is leaving us behind so because his emotions are attached to mine that's why I'm this way." she said still crying.

I hugged her rubbing her back gently then my hands went to her tummy rubbing it all around.

"Am sorry Tina for leaving you behind. Little bean am sorry for leaving you and your mummy behind. Trust me I will be back before you both know it. Daddy needs to do something really important so you will have a good future. Please stop being sad so that daddy can leave. You are really making me feel sad right now." I said feeling sad that I was leaving my important responsibility behind.

Tina cleaned her face and looked at me with her wet eyes.

"Okay Parker for real am not going to cry again. Really we will be fine without you so don't worry much about us. Just do as I have told you. Okay?" she said to me.

I smiled when I saw she is finally letting me go with her crying any more.

"Thanks sugar. I will do just that. I have to rush out right now. My friends have been waiting for me in the car outside already. Don't worry you don't need to go out with me because I don't want to watch you cry as I leave. So stay behind okay. I love you so much Tina and I will definitely come back alive and victorious." I promised her.

"I love you too Parker. So much."

I gave her a quick kiss on her lips then I carried my bag and walked out of the house. I entered the car and looked outside to see that she was outside. Her hands were wrapped around her stomach like she was trying to protect her pup or not let him see that his daddy is leaving. I smiled at her and waved as Hunter reversed the car. As he began to move forward, I began to wave her. I didn't stop moving my hands until I didn't see her again.

I sat properly and looked at my friends who were all with me. I don't know how I am going to repay this guys but I will definitely repay them for this.

"It is a good thing that your house isn't far from here. At least it's not as long as Landon's pack. Right Landon?" Justin asked Landon who was sitting in front with Hunter who is our driver then Justin was sitting behind with me.

"Yes it's not far." Landon agreed before pressing his phone again.

"Landon what have you been doing with your phone since we left Parker's house. You have been putting all your attention on your phone. And please don't tell me it's your mate." Justin said.

"Of course she is the one am talking to. Who else do you think I would be talking to if not her?" Landon asked before going back to his phone.

Justin didn't say a word as he has given up.

I closed my eyes to rest because I really didn't have any strength. I just needed to think and stop being scared of what is going to happen in my pack. I didn't want to tell anyone but I'm really scared if maybe this fight ends badly and I lose. I try to not think of it but still the thoughts still bother me so much.

I kept thinking till we finally reached my pack borders. I pulled down the car window so the guards could see my face and let us in since they didn't know Landon and Hunter who were sitting in front.

They quickly bowed when they saw me and quickly let us drive in.

"Where to? A hotel or your Dad?" Hunter asked.

"I think it's time we divide ourselves. I will go to my Dad and talk to him first before challenging him. You guys can go to the hotel and settle down first." I replied him.

"Are you sure you will be fine without us going with you?" Landon asked looking at me with a worried look on his face.

"Yes I will be fine. Don't worry about me." I said to them.

I directed Hunter on where to drop me before explaining to him the way that leads to hotel.

I began my own journey alone.

I went to my house. When I got there, I opened the door and I felt the same feeling I always get when I'm here. Emptiness.

Yes I have always felt this same feeling every time so I'm already used it. I walked straight to my father's office. It was a good thing that he was there and sitting on his chair. He raised his head to look at me the moment I entered. "Father" I said.

"You are back. What brings you here? Aren't you supposed to be in school?" he asked.

'You won't be asking this question if you were interested in me. Clearly you aren't that's why you don't know why I'm back home.' I thought in my mind.

"We are done with exams so we are on break." I said to him.

"So why are you here? You could have just stayed behind and come back when you are done with school. Anyways welcome. I have seen your face. Now leave I'm busy." he said.

"Actually I need to have a word with you." I said to him. I was already getting angry by the attitude I was getting from him.

"What is it again? Can't you see I'm busy?" he asked.

"I can clearly see that but I need to talk to you really quick." I said to him.

"Alright speak am listening."

"I'm going to be a father soon." I announced.

I waited for his reply hoping to get a good response from him.

"And so what? As long as it's from that mate of us, I'm not interested in hearing anything from you. Now leave." he said.

Now this got me really pissed.

"Father I just told you that I will soon be a father and that's all you can tell me. Really now? You can't even be happy for me and be excited that you will be a grandfather soon."

"I refused to be excited for some fucking bastard. Listen Parker first of all you disobeyed me by going back to that weak bitch and then you come to stand in front of me to tell me that the same bitch that I said no to is pregnant for your child. You must be foolish if you think that will change my mind. You better reject her immediately or else you will never be the alpha of this pack. You aren't the son I was knew. You were much better when you had rejected that thing but now that you have accepted her, you have turned weak and pathetic. Just look at you. I'm so embarrassed to call you my son."

My wolf took control and let out a loud growl at my father. He and I felt so angry that he was insulting my mate and my pup. He has no fucking right to curse them like that. I'm going to show him.

"I Parker Grey challenge you Grey Mason for your alpha position. I won't sit back and watch you insult my family. I will fight for both of them and also for my right. I don't mind drying for what is most important to me and that's the fact." I said to him with a serious look on my face so he won't think I'm here for a joke.

He looked at me and then laughed.

"You fool boy. If that's what you want, I will gladly kill you with so much ease. It's not like you have any use to me. So I Grey Mason accept your challenge."

His words really broke me. How will my own father not care about me his son. Why would he say such a thing to me? He doesn't even mind doing the challenge. Just wow.

I left his office to prepare. I sent the guys a message that the fight is going to happen so they should come join. I gave them direction to the stadium we normally used to train.

I got ready and went to the stadium. I am guessing my dad sent the people a message because the place was filled up with people who came to watch.

As I was entering the ring, my father's Beta, Kinn stopped me.

"I know I shouldn't be doing this but please can you win this match. We need a new alpha to help us out. Everyone here are all rooting for you." he whispered into my ears.

I nodded my head and walked into the ring. I looked at the man in front of me who was clearing looking like some man who I don't know anything about. This isn't the father I once knew and admired. This is just some center egoistic being.

I looked around the crowd gather and I could read their looks. They were nervous and anxious already. I could sight my friends who had already arrived and were at the back.

The bell rang which indicated the fight has began.

I went to my father first and tried to punch him the first time but he was quick to dodge it. I was surprised by how he knew I was going to hit him but before I could stop being surprised, he used my state to punch me on my stomach. I was thrown to the ground. He climbed me and began to punch me hard on my face.

I tried to get him off me but he was too strong. He kept on punching me until he had broken my nose.

He stood up from me and smiled in the most scariest way as he breathe fast.

"See Parker. You can never beat me because I am stronger than you. You made the wrong choice in challenging I, your father just for those useless things you call family. Don't worry I will make them join you as soon as I have ended you so you won't be alone." he said.

I let out a growl when I heard what he said.

"You are also wrong in talking bad about my family. And for that you are going to pay." I said to him as I struggled to stand on my feet.

"Now let the real battle begin." I said with a smirk on my face.
