Chapter 49

ROSIE POV

I opened my eyes and saw I was in my room on my bed. I was back. The little break I had really made me feel so relaxed. I slept not knowing what was happening around me.

I wonder what Sun did when she had control. Hope she didn't cause trouble because I don't trust that girl?

I don't regret giving her control though. Why? Because she needed to have sometime to herself in the outside world.

I stood up and looked down at the outfit I was wearing.

Yup Sun really had the fun of her life. I thought shaking my head as I looked at the tight shorts gown that was on me.

She didn't even care to change before falling asleep.

I removed the gown and walked to the bathroom. I took a hot bath. After I was done, I left the bathroom and went to my room. I went to my wardrobe and picked my usual clothing. A big white shirt and navy blue sweatpants. I packed my hair in my loosed ponytail. Now I feel good like I am actually me.

I went to the living room to see Smith and Maria cuddled together watching a movie.

They were so engrossed in the movie that they didn't notice my presence.

I sighed as I looked at them. I think it's time I let Maria go. It's not good for the both of them to be apart and I won't want them to be apart because of me. I have to make Maria leave although I know she will stubbornly refuse but still she needs her mate by her side and her mate needs her.

I cleared my throat to let them know that I was there.

They both turned quickly to look at me.

"I think this is Rosie." Smith whispered to Maria although I could still here him.

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yes it's me okay."

"What did I say. Now I know the difference between you and your wolf. You both are very different infact you are completely different from each other." he said.

"Why do you say that?" I asked as I walked to them and sat down on another couch.

"Well Sun is good when it comes with fashion but you, well I give you a zero. I mean if only you saw how she took care of your looks, I never knew you had it in you. What do I call it again? Yes inner beauty. Not until Sun unleashed it and showed us. You need to be like her Rosie." he said.

"You can imagine. So that's the only difference you saw. I was expecting you will say well our eyes color changed." I said to him.

"Well her sexy looks didn't make me notice the change of eye color. She sure looked hot as fire and the way she carried herself made her look like a boss. I'm so lucky to have met her." Smith said.

"Can you shut up for a minute. Stop talking about my wolf like that. Have respect for your mate who is beside you. You can't be talking about another woman like that." I warned him hoping he shuts up. "Well I don't mind Rosie because he is actually saying the truth. I mean even I was in awe by Sun beauty." Maria said smiling.

I glared at her. She just had to ruin everything. Here I thought she will have my back and caution her mate.

"What ever you people say. I don't care. Anyway can someone tell me what exactly my wolf did because I'm truly feeling so anxious maybe she did something she shouldn't have done." I said to them. "Well she didn't do anything much. The little she did was quite impressive and amazing." Maria said.

Well that's some news I will like to hear.

"Can you tell me what she did?" I asked.

"Well she stood her ground in front of the alpha and told him she was the one who attacked Juliet and not you. She told him she did it to protect you since Evans didn't stop her. Also she went ahead to tell the alpha that Evans has been bullying you that's why she slapped him." Smith said.

"She really stood by you and claimed everything was her fault and you were innocent so you won't get punished. At the end it was to her favour because Juliet will be punished while for Evans well he will face his father's wrath." Maria said smiling.

I was very surprised, touched and speechless. I mean I knew my wolf was badass and fearless but I didn't know she will act like that in front of the alpha. Also she went against her mate and decided to expose him. She sure was strong. She did that to protect me. I checked to see if she was awake and luckily she was.

"Hey Sun you know I love you right?" I asked her.

"Yes I know now stop acting so clingy I hate it." she said making me to laugh.

She sure was trying to change the topic. That's how she was.

"Alright then but still thank you for being an amazing wolf. I won't stop telling you that you are the best." I said to her.

"Yeah yeah right. I know that now leave me alone you are disturbing me. I was thinking about Axel here so let me be." she said before she blocked me.

Yup sassy Sun was back. One minute she's a kind wolf the next minute she is back to be cruel. Her emotions and character changes all the time.

"Well thank you for being here and for also telling me." I thanked Maria and Smith.

"It's nothing Rosie. Anytime. Now do you want to eat something?" Maria asked.

"No I'm not hungry. Actually I have something to tell you Maria. Both of you." I said as I put on my serious face on.

"Okay??? What is it all about? This look your giving, should we be scared?" Maria asked looking confused.

"Maria you have been an amazing friend right from the very beginning. I'm happy and grateful to you for staying with me for a some period of time but I think it's time you join your mate in his house. You shouldn't stay here forever you need to leave Maria." I said to her softly.

"No Rosie. I can't leave you. If I do, you will be all alone in this house. Don't worry I will stay till you get a mate." she said stubbornly. But this time I won't let her win.

"Maria you shouldn't do that. You don't know when I'm going to replace my wolf. It might be soon or never just like Mr Drew. You can't stay with me for long. Please I know you care so much about me but think about Smith also. He is also being affected by all this. He has a mate but he lives like he doesn't have one. You both need to be together so your mate bond can be stronger. I don't want to be in between you both so please I'm begging you Maria just listen to me and go stay with Smith." I said to her.

"But what about you?" she asked as she began to tear up.

"I will be fine. Trust me. I have stayed here alone for years so it's not new. Although this time it will be a bit different because I have friends now. Once in while, we can have sleep overs and also I will definitely visit you guys often. So don't worry about me. I just want you and Smith to be happy." I said to her.

She stood up from her seat and walked to where I sat as she joined me. She pulled me in for a hug as she cried on my shoulders. I could feel tears coming out from my eyes but I cleaned it so she won't notice. I pat her back as I tried to smooth her. I will definitely miss her but it's for the best.

I looked at Smith who silently whispered a 'thank you. I smiled at him.

He looked happy and relieved. I knew he was having a hard time but he didn't open up because he didn't want to hurt his mate. He preferred to be hurt than to make her heartbroken.

I continued to pat Maria as she kept on crying. I didn't stop up. She cried till she was tired. She pulled her head from my shoulder which was numb because of her weight.

"Rosie if you need anything, don't hesitate to call and tell us please. And if your not comfortable staying here on your own, you see free to come join us." she said.

"Alright noted." I only said but I wasn't going to do it.

"Oh am going to miss you and your cooking." she said as she hugged me again.

I laughed.

"I'm also going to miss you too. Very much. Infact be expecting me in your house, the moment I see I can't stay here alone and packing my bags and coming over. Just make sure to prepare a spare room for me." "That won't be a problem right Smith?" she turned to him.

"Of course not darling. Rosie you are free to come by anytime." he said smiling.

"Well before I start packing, Rosie can you cook for me please." she said.

I smiled at her.

"Sure."

I stood up and went to the kitchen to start cooking. I didn't know what to make so I just went for rich and beef sauce.

I was busy with preparing the ingredients when Smith entered the kitchen.

"Hey what are you doing here? Where is Maria?" I asked him.

"She went to start packing and she said she will pack herself. Rosie I can't thank you enough for everything. You are the reason Maria and I are together right now and now thanks to you once again I can finally have her in my house. I can't thank you enough honestly for everything. For taking care of her and for being with her." he said to me.

"Smith you don't have to thank me. She's my best friend so I did all of that for her. This is also for her because I want her to be happy and her happiness lies with you. But Smith if you hurt her I swear I will kill you and replace a way for you to come back to life and kill you again. So make sure you take care of her and keep making her happy." I said to him.

He smiled.

"yes ma."

I smiled as I turned to check what I was cooking. I have nothing to worry about anymore. I'm going to be just fine on my own.
