"How's she?" Leon asked the woman who he had hired to treat Sara. He grabbed Sara's hand with a sigh, his eyes filled with worry, hoping for the very second she would open

her eyes.

"She is fine, and should wake up soon. You don't need to worry. I have put everything in place, you just need to ensure that she takes her medicine as prescribed. Also, the snake's venom had been completely cleared out of her body, so you have nothing to worry about." The woman said as she packed her bags, while Leon hurriedly stood up. "Wait..." he paused, swallowing hard as he tried to get the words out of his mouth.

"I mean...her pregnancy?" He asked, staring straight into the woman's eyes. The woman smiled, lifted Sara's hand and felt her pulse.

"It's fine. Thank God you arrived at the scene on time, I was able to save the

pregnancy." The woman uttered, while Leon heaved a sigh. Even though he loved her, he still wanted the best for her as he knew Sara would be pained if she learned that she had lost her pregnancy.

"Alright. Thank you very much." He said, escorting the woman out of the house.

Just as he stepped into the house, Sara gently opened her eyes, struck by the harsh reality as memories of the previous day flowed through her brain.

Tears instantly gushed down her cheeks, with the lower lid of her eyes swollen as a result of her unending tears.

"Sara." Leon whispered softly and sat by her side.

"I know you feel hurt and betrayed. But I assure you that it isn't worth it to cry and ponder over it,"

"I mean your health matters. You should know that life goes on without you, so you have to cherish yourself." He consoled, wiping her tears with his palm. He placed his hand on her shoulders, stared into her eyes and gave her a warm hug.

"I will be there for you, I promise." He said, but his words seemed to have no effect on Sara as she couldn't stop herself from crying.

Leon stood up and hurried into a room and came back almost immediately.

"I prepared some food for you. You've been unconscious throughout the night and half

of the day, you should be hungry by now." He said with a smile and placed the tray of food in front of her.

Sara wiped her tears and finally opened her mouth to speak.

"I really appreciate your kind gestures. But Leon, I don't feel like eating. I want to go back to the pack house." She muttered, trying hard to keep her gaze away from Leon's eyes.

"Why? I mean why would you want to return to his side after everything he did to you?" Leon asked with a high pitched voice. His eyes bulged and his hands trembled, that Sara began to wonder if something was wrong with him.

"I am sorry if I scared you. But Sara, I am here, why can't you just look at my side? I will cherish you, I will treat you as the queen that you are." He muttered softly, his palm on his chest as he painstakingly confessed his feelings to her.

"I love you, and I will be there for you. Why do you insist on going back to a man who doesn't cherish you?"

"Because I love him too...and I am sorry Leon, he is the only one in my heart. But then...I want to hear it from him personally, I want him to say it to my face that he doesn't want me anymore, I want to hear it from his mouth that the moments we both shared together were nothing but lies and illusions, only then will I believe that I am all alone in this cold and brutal world!" She yelled, her heart hammering against her chest.

"You are not alone, Sara. I am here, I will always be here for you." Leon screamed, holding Sara's hand and immediately went on his knees.

"Just give me this chance, please, I promise I won't fail you." He pleaded, but Sara slowly withdrew her hand from his grip.

"I am sorry, Leon. But even if I were to consider you, it won't be at this point of my life. I still need to clarify things with Killian, only then will I have time for other things." She said in a tone that finalized her decision. Leon took a deep breath, he knew all he had to do was to keep Sara by his side and she will forever belong to him. He smiled to himself, he knew the perfect thing to do.

Sara slowly got up from the bed, and slid into her slippers.

"Thank you for saving me, I really appreciate it." She muttered and managed to wear a smile. Leon was captivated for some moments by her beautiful smile. Her soft red lips made his heart pump hard, and his Adam's apple moved in a rhythmic pattern as he swallowed hard.

He finally got a hold of himself after some seconds and rose to his feet.

"But you should eat something before going after him. How will you have the strength

to confront him if you go with an empty stomach?" Leon asked her.

"I understand your concerns, Leon. But I really don't have an appetite." She replied to him.

"Sara, even if you are not thinking for yourself, you should at least think for your child." He said, trying to convince her, but Sara's reactions were shocking to him. Her feet became suddenly glued to the ground. Her eyes bulged out of their sockets, her heart hammering and tightening together. The room suddenly became stuffy as she began to sweat and pant hardly.

Only then did she remember the sharp pain in her stomach, as well as the warm liquid that gushed out of her thighs.

She slowly turned to take a look at Leon, her eyes bloodshot red, and clouded with tears.

"Child? You mean...I am pregnant...for him?"
