The Alpha King’s Virgin by Charmeleon Chapter 105

Chapter 105

RAINE

Finally, we found ourselves outside in the glaring sunlight, leaving the gloom of the cave for a lush. green meadow

“We still have a lot of ground to cover before dark.” Balor looked up into the azure sky. “Best get moving.

“It’s too quiet.” The blonde dwarf said and unsheathed his sword. “It feels like we’re walking into a trap.”

Balor grinned at him. “Nothing we can’t handle. If you’re too scared to go further, Daxon, you can return to the women.”

The one he called Daxon growled and saluted Balor with his middle finger, getting a chuckle from the rest.

Pippa stayed alert, peering nervously around us, “I can’t believe Quindin hasn’t sent someone after

us.”

“Or come for you himself.” Balor added to her worried words.

“He still might.” I wouldn’t underestimate him. “Can’t you open a portal for us, Pippa?”

Pippa shook her head sadly. “I’m afraid I cannot. Only the elder witches and Quindin, of course, can execute portals. I am just a neophyte.”

Daxon let out a sharp exhale through his nose, a clear sign of his disgust. “So actually you’re useless

to us.”

I turned on him growling, “Pippa is not useless!”

“She had enough magic to blow that overgrown pigeon out of the air.” Another dwarf came to her defense.

“Speaking of…” Balor lifted a fist in the air. “Look!”

Everyone looked up. The sky darkened with the shape of winged creatures. They were getting

closer.

“What is that?” I wasn’t sure I could believe my eyes.

“Dragons!” Pippa screamed. “That is the Dragon Lord!”

” flying lizards! Hate the damn things.” Balor shouted, “Ready yourselves, men!”

A Silver dragon swooped down, landing at a suitable distance from us. Balor and his men formed at

protective stance in front of Pippa and me.

“Let us have the queen and we will leave you in peace.” The Dragon Lord’s voice rang out across the meadow. “We have no quarrel with you.

“I don’t think so!” Balor snarled back at him. “What is your business with the queen?”

“We will take her back to her kingdom.”

“And I was born yesterday!” Balor shouted back.

I watched as the dragon soldiers hovered above their lord, waiting for a signal to attack. A green dragon descended next to the silver one and who was on its back? None other than Sorin and Helen!

“Raine! Come with us now!” he demanded, righting himself on the back of the creature.

“You do no such thing.” Balor snarled at me; his steel–gray eyes boring into mine. “We don’t intimidate easily.”

Neither did I. Already, I felt the power surging through my body. Like Joanna instructed me, I envisioned in my mind what I would like to do to them. my head.

nihilate them. A voice in screamed at me. Whether it was Tasha or something else, I wasn’t sure.

Sorin descended from the green dragon under protest from Helen. “Raine, let’s discuss this. Amarist needs vo

you. I want to take you to him.”

“He speaks with the tongue of a snake!” Balor grunted, waving his battle axe at Sorin. “He will kill you as soon as look at you.”

As if I didn’t know. “I have to decline your generous offer, Sorin.” My breathing increased and with every breath I felt the magic growing stronger, wanting out, needing an outlet.

The wind became stronger, colder, and swirled over the grasses, picking up speed as it came barreling down on us. I looked at Pippa and she looked at me.

“It isn’t me,” she said.

And it wasn’t me either. Quindin! I would rather take my chances with Sorin than go back with Quindin.

As the wind morphed into a gray column resembling a tornado, Quindin stepped out of it and stood between us and the dragons Was he really there or only an illusion of him, as he so loved creating them?

I felt Pippa shudder next to me

“I won’t go back.” I told her.

“We can’t fight Quindin.” Pippa whispered fearfully.

“I won’t let you touch my daughter.” Quindin’s voice held all the authority of his status as High Magus.

“We are at war with the werewolf kingdom, Magus. This is not your fight. Prince Sorin is the rightful heir, and we have sworn allegiance to him. We need your daughter to convince Amaris Black to step down from the throne.” The Dragon Lord stepped down from the silver dragon to join Sorin.

“We will not harm her, Magus.” Sorin held his soft hands away from his body in supplication. The fake smile plastered on his face did nothing to fool me.

Balor snorted in unbelief.

“I am returning to Amaris, but not with you!” I spat at them. “Quindin, help us. Please. If you feel anything for me or this unborn child, you will open a portal to help me return to Amaris.” I stepped. forward with a whimpering Pippa clutching at my arm.

The man that called himself my father turned to me with the hint of a smile. “You fooled me, Raine. Well done. It’s not many that can say that.”

“This is our last warning, old friend.” The Dragon Lord, an impressive figure dressed in battle attire, approached us. His haughty beauty, accentuated by the gleam in his golden eyes, seemed to sparkle

like the sun.

“You know I hate being threatened, Fintan.” He said with a smile that reached his eyes and formed tiny wrinkles at the edges. From what I know of Quindin, I took it as a sign of impending doom. “A pity to end a lifelong friendship like this.”

“Quindin, don’t be naïve. Amaris will destroy us all, given the opportunity.” Fintan’s over my body while speaking to Quindin. “All because of this slip of a girl.”

ves flitted eyes

Quindin chuckled, “You underestimate my daughter, Fintan. But I think you know that, and you are more afraid of her than Amaris. The only reason you want Sorin on the throne is because you can easily control your little pawn. And not to mention, you want control of their mines and other resources.” He shook his head, that eerie smile still in place. “So transparent.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Fintan’s eyes turned to slits and his skin shimmered. He was about to transform. “But enough. Give us the girl or we will take her by force.

He had scarcely uttered those words when Quindin stretched out his left hand. “Makpiingajuq Tulaktarvik!” As he mumbled the incantation, the atmosphere tore open in front of my eyes. I could see the mountain road and in the distance the castle.

“Go! Now!” he snarled at me. “Don’t look back!”

I grabbed Pippa and ran. The portal snapped closed behind us
