Chapter 47: A new plan

Alpha Drake POV

I ran into a few of my pack teenagers and couldn’t help but ask how their first training session with Isabella and Clair, went.

I was made aware of an incident that occurred between Isabella and Josh. My b***d was boiling in anger, at the thought that he had disrespected her. I wanted to go and punish him for disrespecting his future Luna, but I knew Isabella would hate me for stepping in. Plus, the teens did say that she put him in his palace. I chuckled at that, knowing damn well that Isabella wouldn’t let anyone disrespect her.

I decided to stay out of it, knowing that’s what she would want from me.

Oh goddess, it’s been less then a day since we turned our relationship strictly professional and I already miss our antics. I miss her sassy little mouth talking back to me and even more, I miss touching her.

Her birthday is in two days, I’m getting so nervous. How is she going to react when she learns the truth? I’m praying she doesn’t fight the bond.

It was getting close to dinner time, so I made my way to the dinner hall. I saw that Jared, Clair, Isabella and Erik where already seated getting ready to eat.

I was excited to have Isabella sitting close to me during dinner, just having her near me calms Devon and I down. Plus, maybe she’ll talk to me, even just small talk is better than nothing.

I approached the tabled and sat at the head, everyone’s eyes turned to greet me, but there was only one pair that I was focused on, and it was Isabella’s.

She looked so beautiful, her hair was loose, hanging over her shoulders and she was wearing a sheer purple blouse with a black tank top underneath, it showed off her perfect cleavage.

She was looking back at me and I couldn’t help my excitement when I saw her taking in my appearance. I didn’t miss the desire swirling in her eyes and it made me happy knowing she was still attracted to me.

When our eyes met and she realized that I was watching her, I saw her cheeks flush with embarrassment, she quickly looked away.

“Hey boss, you hear about Josh’s little stunt at training today? He was trying to be a tough guy with Isabella. That was a mistake.” Erik said with a chuckle.

“Ya I heard he was being disrespectful. I’m sorry about that, I don’t tolerate disrespect in my pack. Isabella, if you want him punished, say the words.” I replied while looking at Isabella.

“No Alpha, I took care of it. He learned from his mistakes and I know it don’t happen again.” She replied with a smirk. I couldn’t help but smile. I knew damn well that she took care of it. I almost pity Josh for messing with the wrong she-wolf.

“I figured you would, so I didn’t intervene.” I told her and she shot me an appreciative smile. It warmed my heart that we were getting along. I really want to make her happy.

“Tomorrow at 1:00pm we are meeting with elder Dan, he wants to discuss something with us.” I told Erik and Jared and they both nodded in acknowledgement.

The rest of the dinner was nice, everyone was chatting and laughing and it felt good. It wasn’t awkward at all and Isabella even joked around with me a bit. I loved hearing her laugh, it warmed my heart knowing she was happy at that moment.

Isabella POV

When Alpha Drake showed up at the dinner hall, I couldn’t help but let my eyes trail over his muscular body. He wore a white T-shirt and I could see the outline of his perfectly chiseled chest.

Goddess this is so hard. I might have to take Bob the vibrator for a ride tonight. I’m feeling a lot of pent up s****l tension just from looking at Alpha Drake. Why does he have to be so damn sexy?

Dinner was nice, it wasn’t awkward at all.

“Well, have a good night guys I have a few matters that need my attention, I’ll be in my officer.” Alpha Drake announced to the table before standing.

“You sure you don’t want to join us for a drink, Alpha? Isabella and I are heading to the lounge, to celebrate surviving our first training day with the teens.” Clair asked. I couldn’t help but glance over at Alpha Drake, silently hoping that he might say, yes.

“I’ll take a rain check, a few matters are time sensitive.” He said with a small smile, before nodding his head at us and walking off.

I was disappointed that he wasn’t going to come, but it’s for the better. The less I’m around him, the easier it will be to get over him.

“How about us? Are we invited?” Jared asked with a pout while looking at Clair.

“I guess so.” Clair said dramatically as she rolled her eyes. We all chuckled, stood from the table and heading towards the lounge.

We sat around a bar top table and ordered a round of drink. Clair and I both ordered white wine while Jared and Erik ordered rum and Coke’s.

“Glad to see you and the Alpha are getting along.” Erik said to me with a grin.

“Ya, now that I’m no longer his personal assistant, the desire to kill him has faded slightly.” I replied jokingly.

“Ya, I think he took that punishment a little to far.” Jared said with a chuckle.

“Really? And what about you? Did you take Clair’s punishment a little too far?” I asked teasingly while crossing my arms over my chest and raising an eyebrow. I watched as both him and Clair blushed with embarrassment.

“Uhhh, Alpha’s orders, I had to do what he asked.” Jared replied with a shoulder shrug while glancing over at Clair sheepishly.

“Isabella, stop.” Clair whispered out of embarrassment and slapped my shoulder.

“Ok, ok, I’ll let it go this time, but if I hear, your punishing my little Clair bear over her, I’ll kick your a*s.” I told Jared while glaring at him and he raised his hands in surrender.

“See this is why I don’t want a mate, you’re all crazy when you replace each other. The last few days have been exhausting. I can’t keep up with all the drama.” Erik blurted out while shaking his head in disapproval.

“You all?” I ask Erik with a raised eyebrow.

“I meant Clair and Jared.” Erik answered while looking around nervously.

“Hey what do you think Elder Dan wants to discuss at the meeting tomorrow?” Jared asked Erik clearly changing the subject. I decided to let Erik’s odd behaviour go.

“I have no idea.” Erik replied. I didn’t miss his thankful glance that he shot at Jared. What was that all about? I wondered.

“Hey Isabella, how are you?” I turned around to replace Kyle, one of the warriors standing beside me with a huge smile on his face.

Kyle is 22 and handsome. He’s got that pretty boy look going on, It’s not really my cup of tea, but the she-wolves are always drooling over him during training. He’s muscular and tall with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes, he belongs on the cover of a magazine.

“Oh, hey Kyle, I’m good. What’s up?” I asked, giving him my own smile.

“I was wondering if we could do a little training together? I would like to pick your brain on a few techniques.” He asked looking hopeful.

“Sure, want to stay behind after training tomorrow morning? We could do a little one on one, if that works for you?” I replied and saw his smile widen.

“That would be great, see you then.” He said before walking away, still smiling from ear to ear.

I turned back to the group and saw Jared and Erik both staring at me with disapproval.

“What?” I asked with a frown. Why so serious all of a sudden, I wondered?

“He basically just ask you out and you said, yes.” Jared said and I saw concern on his face? What the hell is his problem?

“No he didn’t, he wants help with training. You were sitting right here, you heard everything.” I replied confused.

Both Erik and Jared shook their heads at the same time, telling me I was wrong.

“They are right Isabella, how could you not see that he’s interested in you?” Clair asked letting out a chuckle and she shook her head in disbelief.

“Whatever it’s just training, I’m not interested in him.” I said while frowning.

Was he hitting on me? Nah, he just wants to train and even if he was, why are Jared and Erik looking at me with disapproval. I can go out with whoever I want, I thought to myself.

After we had a second round, I was getting tired. I said good night to the table and headed towards my room.

Bri was taunting me in my head, trying to get me to go see Alpha Drake in his office. I shut that idea down pretty quick, although deep down I was craving him completely, body and soul.

Bob, you better be ready, I’m coming for you.

Rogue Alpha Ryan POV

I was informed by my mole at the Crescent Moon pack, that a feral rogue had been captured on the territory and interrogated. The rogue confessed to Alpha Drake that he was there to kidnap Isabella and that I had issued a bounty for anyone successful in bring her to me.

Damn it! I was sure if anyone could get her, it would of been that crazy feral Rogue. Well, he’s dead now, time to move on to my next plan. This one is sure to work.

I had one of my rogues meet with my mole at the Crescent Moon pack border and delivered a syringe of wolfbane that would help with the execution of my plan.

The mole had overheard Alpha Drake telling his Beta and Gamma at dinner that they had a meeting with an elder at 1:00pm tomorrow. That would give me the perfect opportunity to execute my plan, while the top three in command were busy.

It won’t be long now, Isabella. You’ll come to me, I know you will, i smirked at the thought.

It’s time to get a room ready for her arrival.
