The Alpha’s Feisty Mate
Chapter 73: What’s the plan?

Isabella POV

I was furious with Alpha Drake, after our conversation. I mean, the way he speaks to me, with his orders and rules, it’s insulting. I don’t mind playing nice with him, when we’re in bed having a little playtime, but when it comes to my abilities as a warrior, he needs to stop treating me like a weakling.

He certainly doesn’t treat me as his equal, if he did, he would understand my need to be involved, when it comes to the Rogue Alpha.

I’m not weak and I don’t need protecting. I could see the realization in his eyes, when I mentioned the reverse scenario, If he was the one being hunter. I know exactly what he would do, he would go after whoever it was and kill them, yet he won’t allow me the same opportunity.

Even after I brought that up, he still made me promise that I would stay put and not go into the forest. I answered him, but only to get him out of my face, I have no intentions of following his orders.

I started to think of my next move, I need to go replace the Alpha Rogue, before he kills anymore innocent people. I wont let that happen, I have to come up with a plan, fast.

Where would I even begin to look for him?Maybe, if I head back to the old rogue territory, I could track where the surviving rogues headed after the fight. That’s really my only shot. It’s going to be risky going out there alone, but I don’t have a choice. I need to do this, not just me, but for my pack, I am the future Luna, it’s my duty.

I wish Alpha Drake treated me equally, then we could of planned out an attack together, instead of me having to go and deal with him alone. I was brought out of my thoughts, when there was a knock at the door.

“Come in” I said.

The door opened and I was surprised to see Trish standing there.

“Can I come in” She asked, looking serious.

“Sure, how’d you lose your parol officer?” I asked teasingly and she rolled her eyes.

“Well, we were heading back to his room, when we came across a frustrated looking Alpha. Erik stopped to talk him off the ledge, so I promised Erik, that I would go straight to his room and here I am.” She replied, with a mischievous smirk, looking proud of herself for not doing as she said she would. I chuckled.

“What’s up? Do you need something?” I asked, curiously.

“I want to know, what your planning, regarding the Alpha Rogue?” She ask, with a curious look on her face.

“Why?” I questioned with a concerned frown.

“I want to help.” She replied, while shrugging her shoulders.

“Again, why?” I asked and she left out a frustrated sigh.

“Listened, I’m sure you heard how I became a rogue. I was being promise to someone, that I didn’t want to be with and was given an ultimatum. I chose my freedom and became a rogue, rather than be mated to someone forcefully. When you told me, that the Alpha Rogue had kidnapped you and tried to force you into being his mate, it made my b***d boiling. I guess you could say, it brought up memories of my past and my own desire for revenge.” She said, I could see the anger and determination in her face.

It would be helpful to have someone else with me. I don’t even know how many rogues are left, in the Rogue Alpha’s pack.

“Are you sure? Alpha Drake will likely punish you for helping me and who know what that will be, he might not let you stay in the pack.” I asked, with concern. She shrugged her shoulders.

“Whatever, he can punish me all he wants, I’m still coming with you.” She replied, while crossing her arms over her chest and I smiled in appreciation.

“Now, let’s get down to business. What’s the plan?” She asked, while walking over to the bed and sitting down next to me.

I was about to talk, when there was a knock at the door, panic started kicking in, thinking what If it’s Alpha Drake or Erik, they will be suspicious if they see Trish and I talking.

“Who is it?” I asked, nervously. I could see Trish had the same look on her face.

“It’s me, can I come in?” I heard Clair’s voice and I instantly let out a breath of relief.

“Ya, come in.” I replied.

The door opened and a nervous looking Clair walked in closing the door behind her. She frozen, when she saw Trish sitting on the bed next to me.

“Should I come back?” Clair asked, while glancing between the two of us.

“No, we were just chatting, it’s fine. What’s up?” I asked, now curious what Clair wanted.

“You’re planning something, aren’t you?” She asked pointedly, with a frown.

“No, what would make you think that?” I replied, trying to keep a neutral tone. I didn’t want to tell Clair, the least amount of people who know my plan, the better. Plus, I don’t want her to get punish, for keeping the information from Alpha Drake.

“Isabella, don’t lie to me, I can see right through your bullshit.” Clair said sternly, while crossing her arms over her chest.

“The less you know the better, you know Alpha Drake will punish you, if he found out that you knew something and didn’t tell him.” I said to her, with a serious voice.

“I don’t care Isabella, your like my sister, he can punish me all he wants, you will always be more important to me.” She replied, in a softer voice.

“Fine, I’m going after the Rogue Alpha, I’m going to kill him.” I replied, with determination in my voice.

“By yourself?” Clair asked, looking curious.

“No, I’m going with her.” Trish answered, before I could.

“Isabella, have you tried to talk with Alpha Drake? Maybe, we can plan an attack with the pack warriors.” Clair asked, sounding hopeful.

“Yes, he ordered me to stay out of the forest and won’t let me be involved in taking down the Rogue Alpha, he keeps acting like I’m incapable of protecting myself. It’s my damn battle to have, I should have a say. Not to mention, with the latest threat, I need to act now, before someone else dies. I can’t risk telling Alpha Drake about the latest note and having him lock me up again.” I replied, with anger lacing my words.

“Well then, you leave me no choice.” Clair said and I froze, is she going to tell Alpha Drake what my plan is? Panic started running through me.

“I’m coming with you guys.” Clair finished, with a mischievous grin.

“No Clair it’s too dangerous, I don’t want anything to happen to you. This is my fight, not yours” I said, trying to convince her to change her mind.

“Nope, I’ve made up my mind and that’s final.” She said, with her own determined tone.

“Ok, if your sure. I mean, I could use as many bodies as I can get, goddess knows how many rogues survived the attack last time.

“We should probably get out of here, before Alpha Drake comes back. We’ll talk about a plan later, Ok?” Trish suggested and I agreed, it would be suspicious, if Alpha Drake found the three of us in the his room talking.

“Sounds good.” I replied and gave them a smile, as they made their way to the door and left the bedroom.

I let out a breath of relief, when they were gone, knowing that I wasn’t going to do this alone. I was a little nervous at the idea of going out there alone, but having Trish and Clair with me, just boosts my confidence, that we can get this done once and for all. They are both strong she-wolves and the three of us together, will be a force to be reckoned with.

I’m coming for you Rogue Alpha, this time, I’m not just going to hurt you, I’m going to kill you.

Alpha Drake POV

I hated the fact, that Isabella was mad at me. That’s the last thing I wanted, but I can’t let her go after the Rogue Alpha, it’s too dangerous.

As I was walking to my office, I came across Trish and Erik.

“You ok boss? You look stressed.” Erik asked, looking at me with concern.

“Ya, just had a fight with Isabella, she’s so damn stubborn.”‘I replied, while shaking my head in frustration.

“I’m going to head to your room and leave you guys to chat.” Trish said, while glancing between Erik and I.

“Ok, I’ll be there shortly.” Erik replied, as he tried to give Trish a k**s, but she turn around and walked away, leaving him hanging. I chuckled to myself, as I could see Isabella doing the exact same thing to me, they are so similar it’s scary.

“Let’s go to your office. I could use a drink.” Erik suggested, with a defeated look on his face and I nodded.

Once we got to my office, I opened the door and let Erik in. I walked to the table beside my desk and poured two glasses of scotch, before handing one to Erik. I took a big gulp from my glass before speaking.

“She’s mad at me, she thinks I don’t treat her equally.” I said with a frown, feeling slightly guilty.

“Why does she think that?” Erik asked, curiously.

“Because I won’t let her be involved in the fight against the Rogue Alpha.” I said, while letting out a frustrated huff.

“You know she’s strong right? I have no doubt she could handle herself.” Erik said and I shot him a warning glare, he threw his hands up in surrender.

“Sorry boss, I was just stating the truth, as much as you want to protect her, I understand where she’s coming from.” Erik continued with a hesitant tone, watching my reaction carefully.

I let out another frustrated sigh, I know Erik is right, I’m just to stubborn to admit it.

“I’ll let her cool down, then I’ll talk to her, maybe we can come to an agreement.” I replied, feeling defeated.

“Well boss, If that’s everything, I’m going to go replace my own feisty mate.” Erik said, while shaking his head and letting out a chuckle.

“Ya that’s all, good luck with that one, she’s just as head strong as Isabella.” I teased, as he stood up and left my office, still shaking his head.

How can I fix things between Isabella and I? I don’t want her to be mad at me. We had been getting along so well, I want us to get back to that place.
