HUDSON

Daisy and Amy stare at each other the tensions in this room are high especially between these two.

“I think we should talk,” says Amy suddenly “But can we do this in front of everyone as I think everyone should be in on this so there is no confusion about anything,” she says.

Daisy nods. Amy walks to the side so she is in front of her.

“What is it you want to know?” she asks.

Daisy stares at her for a moment “I know you were not to blame in this” she says as her eyes dart towards me and then back towards her “But why did you put yourself through all this with having a baby and being with Hudson.”

“I didn’t set out to get pregnant with anyone; I wanted to leave that part for my mate. I was under the impression that humans could never get pregnant from wolves unless they were mates but my uncle found it out to be a false. Any wolf can get a human pregnant if they want” she says “I knew when I found out about the baby that it would be put up for adoption as I never wanted to have a child without my mate.”

Daisy looks at her and nods.

It goes quiet for a little while, everyone staring at each other not knowing who is going to talk next.

“I have to say something,” says Shane, Amy tenses with him as he comes closer to her. Shane has never spoken about any of this well since Rex and I cleared the air with him when we went drinking.

“I need to say what I need to say,” he says, looking between us all, he sighs “When Amy told me all about this situation I was livid about it. I never wanted my mate to sleep with other men or at least fall for other men. But Amy was honest with me when she knew she could trust me, it came as a shock and I did react horribly towards her for a few days when I found out, even considered rejecting her but after a night of being stuck in a room with her, all due to her mother’s doing, I got to know her.”

He looks at Amy and places his arm around her waist “After a few days of thinking it over after that, all I wanted to get to know Amy and after a few weeks I learned she was the only one I wanted, I didn’t care that she was human and had no wolf. I wanted her to be part of my life” he says

He turns to me then to Rex “You should have been straight with Daisy from the start about Amy and the baby, whatever happens in the future with that child, you both actually all four of us have to be on the same page especially if the child comes searching for her parents.”

Rex looks at Daisy, who is looking back at him. But Shane turns his attention to me “As for you Hudson, I know you are my new alpha and I will work with you every step of the way, but you f****d up. Whoever told you about humans was messed up in the head. Your mate suffered dearly for over a year because you rejected her or so she thought, that will never go away. But……” he says and steps closer to me “I will help you in any way I can to help you win her back, no wolf should be without their mate, you have to do all the work though not us, you have to fight for her, protect her, be there for her. I mean everything but I bet if she spoke to me beforehand, or even Amy, she might change her mind.”

I look up at him, this kid has some balls telling me all this but I know he means well and he is right, Asher stayed close and listened to everything that everyone was saying.

“Hudson, you need to come to the office NOW,” says my father through mind link “Also bring everyone else down with you. We need to tell you something.”

“What do you mean we?” I ask him.

“Adonis is here, he has news,” he says.

I look at everyone who now has been staring at me, “We need to go to my father’s office now, Adonis is here.”

Daisy shoots up like a bolt “Adonis is here, something has happened, Brooke” she says with worry in her voice. She leaves really quickly with everyone else running after her.

We all reach my father’s office and there on the couch with his head in his hands is Adonis.

He looks up, startled.

He looks tired.

In the room, there is only Austin, my mother and my father, no sign of Alanna or Jackson.

“Where is Jackson?” asks Adonis.

“He is in his room, do you want us to get him?” says my father but Adonis shakes his head “No, I need to talk tell you all a few things without him,” he says but stops and looks back towards the door. He stares at me as I walk in.

Adonis growls at me.

I stop short in my tracks.

“Why is he here?” he says through gritted teeth.

I look back at him.

“Adonis, please my son knows he has done wrong, he wants to help,” says my father.

Adonis keeps staring at me but nods.

I sit next to Rex who is further away from Daisy.

“Please Adonis, explain what you just told us,” says my father, looking at him.

Adonis sighs, “Very well, a few hours ago, Joe contacted me telling that Madison had landed in Spain and was heading to my pack.”

There were a few gasps, but most of us knew that they were hunting for Brooke.

“Joe has got Brooke out safely, I had to return to get someone who is with me,” he says as he looks towards the door.

At that moment, a girl with bright pink hair appears around the corner and smiles.

“Sassy,” says Daisy as she moves towards her and gives her a hug.

After quick introductions, Sassy faces all of us “I would have been here sooner but I got lost” she says but she looks at me “So you are the mate that who hurt her.”

I tense at the statement.

“Oh I know all about you, you didn’t want her because she was human, I hope you have changed your tune as she will be here soon,” she says.

“I’m here for my mate, I want to win her over,” I say feeling confident about it.

She smiles but turns to Adonis “You best tell them what is happening as it will be harder to explain when they do come.”

We all look at each other confused.

“What are you talking about?” asks Austin

She smiles but doesn’t say anything but Adonis looks at each one of us “You see, my mate took Brooke somewhere but only a few people can get there” he says “My mate is Fae”

“I knew his scent smelt weird when we were there,” Daisy said but turns to our mother “Did you know he was Fae?”

My mother nods “Yes, Joe told me when I was introduced to him by Adonis. Adonis wanted me to know as we were always close growing up when we were kids” she says.

Adonis smiles at my mother.

“Joe is a prince of a small realm and he has taken Brooke there,” he says.

“A realm, there are no realms around here,” says Rex but Adonis shakes his head “Ah young wolf, in history when both I and Luna Sophia were in school we were told about the Fae, and where they came from. There are different realms for certain Fae; Joe is of a grass kind. His father was the king but his brother Hunter took over when he passed away but Joe was left in this realm by his father once he realized that Joe was gay. When we met he was scared but he has come accustomed to our ways in three years quite well”

“So you’re saying Brooke is with Joe in his home realm?” says Daisy looking slightly stunned.

“Yes, she went there to be protected but also she has learned some things about her shifter side too as someone over there has been giving her guidance,” Sassy says but her face turns sore all of a sudden “Where is Brooke’s father and second chance mate,” she asks.

“I thought it would be best not to have them here, especially with the surprise that is coming,” says Adonis.

“What surprise?” says my mother.

All of a sudden there was a breeze coming around us, both Adonis and Sassy smile at each other. There is like an outline of a door forming in the office, suddenly it opens as they both move. There is a bright light coming from the door that that has opened.

What the hell…….
