HUDSON

I had to save Brooke.

This injection has locked me inside my body.

I couldn’t move.

It was meant for Brooke.

But watching my mate save me made me realize how foolish I have been.

I know what she is.

There has never been any like her around for centuries.

That means Danica is one too. How has she been hiding for long?

But I do realize why they don’t want to tell people.

I watch as Brooke sets all the rogues on fire, it skims over my body but it doesn’t affect me it just feels like I am lying on a sun lounger on a hot summer’s day. I’m sure some of the fire, healed some of the wounds I had.

I also watch Brooke and Willow kill Madison but who the hell is Cody?

Why would Brooke look concerned about someone?

“You concerned about mate liking someone else” says Asher with a slight smirk.

Whatever they gave me pushed me back further so we are side by side like a man with a wolf.

It’s so weird being this close to Asher.

“I’m not” I say sounding slightly jealous.

Asher chuckles “You are” he says.

I grunt out “Why aren’t you?”

He looks at me “I’m not the one who hurt mate” he says sounding proud.

We stare back through our eyes, everyone rushing around. The hospital is so loud.

I can hear every whisper, and everyone is talking about Brooke.

But it is not out of love or support, they are afraid. They are afraid of my mate.

We need to get out of this.

We need to make sure she’s ok.

Asher can feel everything too and growls out “I will kill anyone who goes near mate” he says.

I can see my mother and father huddled together but the doctor is calling them over “He is in some sort of coma” he says “We don’t know what happened or what was given to him” he says.

“Ask Brooke” says my father with a snarl.

He did not just snarl about my mate, both Asher and I are getting pissed.

The pack doctor looks between the both of them “I don’t need to, there is a needle mark in his shoulder” he says and shows them the mark; I assume he is “They stabbed him here, whatever it was, it wasn’t for Hudson. It was for Brooke” he says.

My father growls “Why didn’t they stab her then?” he says and walks away from my sight.

Asher and I growl.

“What can we do?” asks my mother.

“We have to wait and see,” he says. He says a few more things and heads out of the door.

Suddenly the door opens, in walks Danica and my father growls at her. “WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?” He roars.

Danica glares at him “I am not telling you what we are”, she says, I can see anger and rage fill her eyes “By the way you are judging my daughter I will never tell you” she says “I think Brooke should come in here, she may be able to help him heal since they are mates.”

My father shakes his head “No way she stays……” but he is cut off by Danica with a hiss “Once we know and Hudson is better, I am taking her away from here” she says “Your kind are never going to accept us” she says.

I can feel anger rise through me but I can’t do anything.

Why the hell would they want to inject……..

Suddenly like a bell going off, it registers with me “They were going to inject Brooke with this injection to torture her into submission, To tell them what she is” I say through gritted teeth to Asher who growls loud.

“Mate needed protecting and we saved her but now everyone wants Brooke,” he says “I can understand why they don’t tell anyone what they are.”

I nod.

“They are magnificent creatures, they are up there with dragons” I say and he nods.

I sit next to him as he lays down next to me “We need to replace a way of getting out of here” I say.

Suddenly the door closes to the room but I can sense someone is in the room.

I step forward and look through my eyes and see the blue-eyed beauty, my mate.

“Brooke” I breathe out.

Asher looks at her too, his tail wags behind him at the sight of her.

But Brooke looks broken, she’s been crying.

She better not be blaming herself.

She touches my hand as the tingles ripple through us.

Her surprise as she feels them.

She closes her eyes but opens them, black orbs are through “Hudson” Willow says quietly “You definitely proven to Brooke and I that you have changed” she says.

I see a tear slip down her cheek “I wish you were here” she says as she looks up towards the door “We will come back later when no one is here, I’m ordered not to be here” she says.

She leans forward and k****s my forehead, the tingles hyperdrives into our body as we can feel the tremors ripple through us.

I can feel a tear land on us.

It sweeps through like a light to us.

Willow moves back but it is now Brooke, it was Brooke who kissed me on the head.

I can feel something deep within us.

But Brooke looks towards the door and quickly leaves the room.

I want Brooke here.

But we can’t move we are still stuck, we just have to wait.

ALFRED

That b***h had one job.

She had to keep Hudson busy and grab the girl; she had to inject her which would have made her stuck in her own body till we got further away.

I had the antidote here ready; I was going to torture her repeatedly till whatever she was came forward and told us what she was.

“f*****g STUPID HUMANS” roars Damien.

I can’t help but smirk “Actually telling Madison to tell her that we have Cody here was a brilliant idea” I said as I look back at him.

Damien looks slightly confused.

“What do you mean?” He asks.

I deal with stupid people, surely I do.

“I mean the girl may come to us, we can get prepared and wait a day or two” I say as I get up from the chair and head straight to the door.

“I’m going to be somewhere for the time being but if she does come, inform me” I say.

Damien grunts “Where are you going?” He asks.

I smile “There is a man that I know that might know what she is” I say to him “I will let you know what I come up with”

He nods “But what if you don’t know what she is” he says.

I place my hand on the door handle and look over my shoulder to him “We will descend on the pack and take her ourselves” I say “Make sure all the followers are here when I get back, whatever the outcome of this, we will attack the pack soon.”

He nods.

I walk out of the house and head straight to the SVU.

I will get what I want soon enough and no one will stop me.
