HUDSON

After a few minutes of kissing Brooke, she steps away and stares at me. “I think we should go and tell people,” she says and places her lips on mine once more.

I kissed her back but pulled away. “Ok, babe,” I said.

We both sort ourselves out, making sure our clothes are back in place, and we head to the door. Brooke takes my hand into hers and smiles at me.

As soon as I opened the door, I noticed we were not alone. I had a hunch that people heard everything we just did. There were some smirks; I couldn’t help but look at Brooke, who looked confused.

“Why is everyone looking at us like that?” She asks in a whisper.

I smirk, but it is Sassy who speaks. “Ah finally, you and Willow can feel what Hudson feels,” she says and walks closer to Brooke, leaning into her ear. “We heard everything, dear,” she says, which Brooke stares back but instantly turns red in the face and looks at me. “You knew,” she says in a squeak.

I pull her to me and lean into her. “I knew, but I don’t care,” I say and place a k**s on her neck.

She moves back and stares at me. “Well……I think…..I,” she says, stuttering but turning to the side and looks but her face turns into a small smile. I looked over my shoulder to see Tasha and Austin walking with a young boy. I knew they wanted to see Brooke earlier.

I turn around and watch as Austin braces Brooke into his arms. “Brooke,” he says as they hug. Tasha smiles at her when they move back, but Brooke’s eyes move to the boy.

“Brooke,” he says quietly.

Brooke nods and smiles at him. “Hi, I used to look after you when you were a boy before you were….” she says but stops. The boy looks at her with a smile. “My brother told all about you, and I wanted to meet you as I wanted to thank you for looking after me when I was born. Austin told me what you are,” he says.

He moves closer to her and holds his hand out to shake; Brooke smiles at him and takes his hand. “I hope we can get to know each other better, and it is pretty cool to know I have another brother,” she says.

The boy’s eyes go wide. “You want me as your brother,” he says.

Austin chuckles. “Cody, Brooke is our sister, and she is a huge part of our family. She is our family,” he says and smiles at her, but he turns to me. “Cody, this is Alpha Hudson; he is Brooke’s mate,” he says.

Cody looks at me and smiles. “It is nice to meet you, Alpha,” he says and holds his hand out for me to shake.

I smile and take it. “I am so happy to have met you, Cody, finally, please, you are family, and I hope you will be happy here in our pack,” I say to him.

He looks at me and smiles while shaking his head at me. “Thank you, Alpha. I won’t disappoint you,” he says.

“You won’t disappoint us,” says Brooke with a smile. “Just be a kid for now, and when you shift, we can talk about what you want to be then.”

I can’t help but smile at my mate; she is fantastic and even taking to her Luna’s role already even though we need to tell people.

After a few more words with Cody, both Brooke and I turn around and realize that everyone has left.

Brooke looks at me. “I think you are right,” she says, “I think we should have a plan in place about any sort of prophecy regarding me or even my kind. We need to make sure that everyone is safe here.” I sigh. “I think we should talk to everyone about doing your Luna ceremony soon but also I want to replace out one thing,” I said to her.

I smile at her.

We looked in the conference room where we found them all, everyone looked at us and smiled.

My father looks at me, but mind links me. “Hudson, we need to sort….” he says, but I shut the mind link down and look back at him shaking my head.

I move to the top of the table with Brooke by my side. I look down at the book and sigh. “I think we need to make a plan for such events as a prophecy which could lead to my mate and her kind being targeted, but we need to make this pack as safe as possible for everyone, including new shifters,” I said. Everyone looked at each one, but when I looked towards Alpha Josh and Todd, “Do you both still want to be part of the alliance with us as we decided in previous meetings?” I asked.

Both men smiled. “We are happy with the alliance with you,” says Alpha Josh. “We are willing to help in the new forward of having different shifters here as well as in our pack too.”

I smile.

Brooke looks at Joe. “Do you think Hunter and Ana will want to join in the alliance too?” She says.

I look at him; who are Hunter and Ana?

“Brooke is on about my brother and his mate from my realm. I will ask him.” Joe smiles but looks at me with an amused look on his face.

Brooke smiles but turns to me. “I want us to become Luna and Alpha soon,” she says.

There were some surprised faces at her announcement.

“My Luna wants to have her Luna ceremony soon,” I say. “Mum and Danica, do you think you can arrange the whole event,” I ask them. I smile and look back at everyone.

Both of them smile and nod. “We can get it ready in…….how long and when do you want it?” Asks my mother.

I was about to answer her, but Brooke speaks “As soon as possible, I don’t want to wait, and we can invite other shifters too,” she said as she placed her arms around my waist.

I can’t help but smile at her.

“We can make it happen; I will let you know when but Brooke,” says my mum, “All I need to know is what colors do you want me to use for the ceremony?”

“I think orange, gold and purple,” I say, but everyone looks back at me stunned, but I chuckle, “I think we should have the colors of the phoenix; they will be the most magical colors, but also everyone can see how gorgeous my mate is,” I say.

Brooke blushes by the side of me as I can feel her cheeks burn through my shirt.

I look at every one. “We need to get everything in motion so that we will hold more meetings over the next few weeks as well, and we have another celebration too for our packs,” I say.

Another hour later, we all have moved away from the conference room. Brooke and I have some food in the kitchen, but I can see Brooke looking slightly off.

“What’s wrong, Brooke?” I ask her as I place her hand into mine.

Brooke sighs and looks at me. “I want everyone to come but Hudson,” she says and looks at me. “I don’t know about Amy coming here for the Luna ceremony; it’s not just me I am thinking about here. I think it is best for Daisy and Rex too.”

I look at her, but she carries on talking. “I noticed that Daisy is still holding back with Rex; she needs to have time, and if Amy is here, I think it will cause more problems for them, and I am also not comfortable with her being here as it’s too soon for me to accept her as a friend or anything as of yet,” she says.

Thinking back over the times I saw Rex and Daisy, they have been arguing more, but I know my sister still hates Rex and Amy having a child together.

“I agree with you; Amy is not invited,” I tell her straight away. “I do think I need to help Rex and Daisy as well as you, it was my fault for keeping Amy here, but now I am only thinking about you,” I say.

Brooke smiles at me. “Thank you,” she says and moves her mouth to mine.

She k****s me passionately.

I will do anything for this woman, I was an i***t before, but now I am her mate. I want to prove to her she is the only woman in my life.
