In the conference room’s POV:

“So, we will leave in eight hours. My uncle will be here in three hours. Shadow I will need you to make a schedule for his men there are twenty men who will need to be added to our guard duty post. I have sent the names to your email you can go ahead with the schedule so the only thing you will have to do is show them where they will be station and the areas we patrol.” The alpha said as they went over the protection plans for the pack once they leave on the mission to save the twins. The alpha was pacing the floor looking uneasy. “Alpha is everything alright? you seem a little off.” Montego Asked. Coming up to stand in front of the alpha. He sighed, closing his eyes. “I don’t know, I feel like something is happening or is going to happen before we make it to my father and the twins. I thought I felt a tug at the mind link from my father earlier like he was trying to mind link me but when I tried to reach out there was nothing. I don’t know maybe I’m just going a little crazy.” He said running a hand through his hair.

“Hey, you’re not crazy you’re just worried about your father and pups. It’s totally normal for anyone to be feeling a little crazy. Just go and replace Ji’lahni, maybe that will help. Is she in your room?” “No, she refuse to move in there. Her words: I’m not laying in no bed you done f**k another b***h in, especially the b***h who had me kidnapped. You will have to burn that pack house down and start that s**t over.” The alpha finished imitating his mate. Montego Laughed. “Damn you got her down to a tee that sounds like something she would say.” They both laugh. So, what are you going to do? The house they are in is entirely to small and the alpha of the pack can’t live there.” Montego asked curiously.

“I’m hoping we could remodel the whole entire top floor and make it into an entire apartment. Once we get the twins and my father back I will bring it up to Ji’lahni and see what she thinks.” “That sounds like a good idea. You should definitely do that. “Alpha is it alright if I go see Shawna before your uncle and his men get here?” Shadow asked, the alpha frowned. “Yes of course is everything alright?” He asked. “I honestly don’t know; she hasn’t said two words to me since the meeting earlier and after the attack she made disappeared. I just want to make sure she is ok and talk about her role on this mission. I really don’t want her to think that I want to rescue Scarlett so we could be together. I just can’t let her stay with that evil vile woman if she has been abused and used these past years because I didn’t try and replace her.” Shadow said, looking defeated.

“Hey, Shadow man you can’t blame yourself you thought she was dead you saw her die and felt your bond break. You can’t blame yourself.” Montego said, as he patted Shadow on the back. “I know it isn’t my fault I just feel that I owe it to her to allow her to be free and not under anyone’s control.” “Do you still have feelings for her? Is there no chance that you and Scarlett can’t pick up where you left off once the doc fixes her memory I’m sure her feelings will return. What will you do then?” Shadow looked at the alpha in shock like he didn’t really think past rescuing her. “I don’t know, me and Rane still feel the mates bond but our feelings for Shawna is still there, I miss her like crazy, Rane is going out of his mine, I don’t know what’s happening his anger is at an all-time high . She is all we can think about Rane just needs to be near her.” Shadow said, sad and confused.

“Hey, I get that, but you shouldn’t press her into anything until you figure out what you’re going to do about Scarlett, because the girls have a bounty on her head, and you will have to either convince them to not kill her or come to terms with the fact that you will have to let Shawna go back with my Uncle like she planned to do once we get the pups back.” The alpha said, and Shadow growled at the thought of Shawna and his pups leaving the pack. he will not let that happen.

“Hey, I get that, but you shouldn’t press her into anything until you figure out what you’re going to do about Scarlett, because the girls have a bounty on her head, and you will have to either convince them to not kill her or come to terms with the fact that you will have to let Shawna go back with my Uncle like she planned to do once we get the pups back.” The alpha said, and Shadow growled at the thought of Shawna and his pups leaving the pack. he will not let that happen.

Shawna’s POV:

“Why am I so damn tired? I’m over this s**t already.” I said as I sat on the couch in the living room. Me and mina had been back at the house for a little while. Lynn told us that Lahni was fine and wouldn’t even have a scar she was just resting and will be back as soon as she wakes up. So, I took that good news and decided to take a nap, but for some damn a*s reason I couldn’t get comfortable. I looked in the mirror and was surprised at my once soft belly looking firmer. It isn’t really big, but my normal stomach looks rounder. I pulled down my shirt that felt a little snug. There was a knock at the door. I frowned “I swear yall wait until I sit down just to knock on my damn door.” I said as I got my tired a*s up to go to the door. I swung the door open as they were knocking on it again.

“Damn give me time to get to the door, what do you..” My words were cut off by the two men that were standing at the door. “Uh Dradon and Maxisin, right? Lynn’s not here she is at the pack house with Montego.” I said getting ready to close the door. “Wait, we aren’t here to see Lynn we are here to speak with you.” Dradon said, with a smile. I looked at them suspiciously. I came out on the patio and closed the door behind me because they weren’t coming in my house. “My brother told me that you were displaying dragon abilities. So, I wanted to have a talk with you. It is very unusual for a human to have dragon abilities from a dragon’s healing, So I want to examine you for myself.” Maxisin said, like I was getting on his nerves.

“Listen, I don’t know you nor the dragon I thanked him for saving my life, but I don’t know you and Lynn doesn’t like you, so that should tell you how I feel about you. Now you can ask me whatever you want, and I will answer your questions and if you explain what you think is happening and If I feel like you need to check me out then I will let you know. If not then you and him can kick rock with no shoes on in a desert.” I said crossing my arms over my growing belly. They both looked lost and didn’t get my comment. “Dradon I think I like her.” Maxisin said with a flirty smile stepping towards me and I immediately took a step back but backed into the door. “I’m not sure if you can’t read the f*****g room but I don’t like you the end. Now if you don’t know how the act then we can cut this short and you’re just a rider and not a dragon so shouldn’t Dradon know way more then you?” I asked, looking at them like they were bullshitting me.

“Dradon know more then me? That isn’t possible in his lifetime or mine and he has been alive longer then me.” Maxisin said laughing. Dradon was looking at him angrily. “How about I see how fast your hair burns again.” Dradon said as smoke came out of his mouth and Maxisin stepped back with his hands up. “Oh my god can we get this over with. Before I give birth.” I said sitting in one of the chairs on the patio. They pulled their chairs to sit in front of me and was a little to close they were all serious which made me kinda nervous about what they think is happening to me or my babies. “So, tell me every detail about what you were doing when you experience dragon abilities?” Maxisin asked, looking at me intently. I gave him every detail I could think of from when I touched the blade and when I burned the wolf’s head off his body, to replaceing out I was having three baby boys instead of one baby. As well as how my pregnancy seems to be progressing.

“Damn it can’t be true.” Maxisin said getting up pacing the patio deep in thought. “What is it man you can’t just say some dumb s**t like that and then don’t say nothing else.” I said, getting up to stand in front of him. Just as he turned, and ran right into me, and I stumbled back. But he was quick and quickly grabbed me and pulled me to his chest and looked into my eyes before a small smile formed on his lips. I was about to move away from his grasp. But I heard a deadly growl. Before all hell broke loose. God damnit! Shadow is about to kill Lynn’s brother. How the hell will I explain this s**t to Lynn?
