Mina’s POV:

I was finally able to get out of that damn conference room. I needed some f*****g air. I swear sometimes I think we are in the wizard of oz, with the damn wolves, dragons, and vamps oh my! I’m afraid to ask how many types of Shifters there are. I thought as I walked into the dining hall. I immediately spotted Blaze and Hunter in the corner with their girlfriends literally stuck to them like glue. “Hey Mina, what’s up how’s Shawna? We heard what happened.” Hunter asked waving me over. I took a deep breath and walked over to them. “She’s fine they’re still in there talking, I just needed to get out of there and get some fresh air and probably see if the ladies in the back has some fruit or I may make me a sandwich.” I said turning away from them to head in the kitchen. “Yea, you should go with the fruit it is better for you then all the bad food you probably eat. Good for you trying to lose weight especially if you’re going to be teamed up with my baby I had to give him a rub down from When alpha Zane attacked.

“Lord, please give me the strength not to bust her head to the white meat.” I said looking up, praying that when I turn around I could be the better person and not cuss her a*s out, Nope not today I’ll try again tomorrow. “Jennifer right? “No Jessica.” “Whatever, anyway Jen Jen I see you are getting that Summer spirit in you with your mouth. I’m not sure why you’re getting real comfortable thinking you can say what you want to me and I’m just going to let it go. Blaze you don’t have to worry about me teaming up with you anymore I’ll get Lynn to get the harness vest from you and fit it for Rimmy.” I Said as I heard a low growl that I know came from Blaze I smirked a little at that. I turned away quickly and decided I would just go back to my house and make me a sandwich, because I would rather go back to my house, than in that dining room with Blaze and his girlfriend. Not looking where I was going I ran right into a solid brick wall.

“Hey, do you and your cousin make it a habit of not watching where you’re going?” I heard a deep voice say, I had to look up just to see that it was Dradon. “No, we don’t yall just don’t know how to get out of the walkway.” I said stepping away from him just realizing that he had his hand around my waist. He laughed as I stepped back. “I saw you leave the conference room and I decided to make my escape too.” He said with a seductive smile. “Well good for you, I was just about to head to our house for a minute to make a sandwich.” I said stepping around him. “Hey, cool I could eat can I tag along? We can get to know each other a little better.” He said, quickly stepping in front of me so I bump into him again. “Hey, stop doing that s**t man, and I don’t think it’s….” I was saying just as I was interrupted “Hey Mina, we need to talk, excuse us.” Blaze stood beside me gently moving me away from Dradon who just smiled.

“Um, excuse me we don’t have anything to talk about, and anyway me and Dradon was about to go back to my house so we could make some sandwiches you know the ones that your girlfriend thinks I should stay away from and of course I know I can’t team up with you anymore, you know with your bad back and all. I don’t want my big a*s to break your back.” I said with sarcasm. “Nonsense, you have a very nice a*s if I may say so myself. I will gladly let you team up with me and I can guarantee that you won’t hurt my back. I would most certainly enjoy having your a*s on my back.” Dradon said eyeing me like he was picturing me riding something that wasn’t his f*****g back. I could hear Blaze growling and I don’t have time for this s**t again. I don’t even know why the hell Blaze has been acting really weird. I know I’m not his mate because we have been around each other more than once and he has never giving me a second look after the night he told me I wasn’t his type. So, I don’t know what his deal is, but he needs to figure that s**t out. Lucky for me Blaze’s girlfriend came right on time.

“Hey, baby the omega’s Just brought the food out. Let’s go eat before our food gets cold.” Jennifer said coming up behind Blaze kissing his neck. That seemed to calm him down. So, I took the opportunity, “Yea you better get back in there before your food is cold and we’re about to head on outta here. See you later Jen.” I said waving at them both grabbing Dradon by the hand as we walked out of the pack house. I breathed a sigh of relief when Blaze didn’t follow or was it a sigh of disappointment. “So, are you and that wolf back there a thing?” Dradon asked as we walked in the direction of my house. “What? No, we’re not we were kinda a team when we are being attacked or on some type of rescue mission.” I said waving him off. “It doesn’t seem like it is that simple for him.” “Well, I can’t tell you about him I can only speak for myself and for me it is damn sure that simple.” I said as we made it to my house. I needed to hurry up and make this dude a sandwich so he can go on about his business.

Blaze’s POV:

Onyx smelled her before she came into the dining hall. I was going to try my best to just ignore her, but Onyx was clawing at me trying to take control and go be near her, but I refuse to allow him to take control. “Hey Mina, What’s up how’s Shawna? We heard about what happened?” Hunter said getting Mina’s attention, she took a second before she turned around with a forced smile on her face and came over to our table. Which drove Onyx crazy at how close we were to our mate. “Would you calm the f**k down already. We are not going near her; we are here with Jessica remember?” I said to Onyx in my subconscious. “Correction you are with that she wolf I do not have anything to do with you. I want my mate, I will not mate with that she wolf.” He fired back at me. “Her wolf’s name is Bonnie, and you know it. You had no problem with it before.” “That was before I met my mate. I will not touch another wolf; I will only touch my mate.” “She isn’t even a she wolf she has no wolf. She’s just a.” I was saying before Mina’s words broke the conversation I was having with Onyx.

“Blaze you don’t have to worry about me teaming up with you anymore I’ll get Lynn to get the harness vest from you and fit it for Rimmy.” Mina said, at her words Onyx went absolutely crazy my eyes flashed and a low growl escape my lips. I immediately took back control. As she left out of the dining hall. “Damn Blaze you really said that about Mina? That was f****d up.” Hunter said looking disappointed at me. I frowned at him in confusing. “What the hell are you talking about? I didn’t say anything.” I looked at him waiting for him to answer. “Well, your girl Jessica said that you were having back pains due to Onyx having to team up with her and carrying her during our missions.” Hunter said and my eyes widen in shock and Onyx went crazy in my head.

“I will kill her. How dare you allow this she wolf to talk about our mate like that. If she takes her harness back and give it to that damn wolf Rimmy I will kill him then I will kill this damn she wolf.” Onyx said as he retreated back into my subconscious and slammed the mental door behind him. I turned to Jessica angry as hell. “Why the hell did you say that to my.. I mean why did you tell those lies? I have never said anything about her to you, and I for damn sure never said I have a problem carrying her on my back. Onyx is far from a weak wolf. You better pray that I can apologize and fix this mess. God forbid she tells the alpha.” I said getting up trying to catch up with Mina before she left. When I walked out of the dining room I saw Mina in the arms of that damn dragon, and Onyx howled in pain and then growled in anger he wanted to rip that damn dragons throat out for touching what is ours.
