Ji’lahni’s POV:

Now, what the hell is going on? All of a sudden, every vampire, warrior, and werewolf dropped to the ground holding their ears, every shifter changed back to their human form. “What the hell man, you need to warn people that you’re about to shift. Wait, f**k all that! Why the hell is purple s**t flying outta Shawna’s whole body?” Mina asked, as we unsnapped our harnesses from the wolves, who shifted back into their human forms after fallen to the ground with us still attached to them. Once we got up, I looked in the direction of where Shawna was. We could see Shadow lying on the ground along with Hawk and the zombie b***h, who was on the ground holding her ears. Everyone was holding their ears in pain. “I don’t know, but we have a chance to go get the girls.” Lynn said, as she took off in the direction of the girls.

The vampire had fallen to the ground with the girls next to him while he cradled his ears. The witch also didn’t seem to be affected by whatever was happening. She saw us and started running to the girls as well. “s**t, the witch is going to reach the girls before we do.” I yelled, starting to panic. Lynn pulled out her gun and started firing shots. Me and Mina followed her lead, but the witch blocked the bullets we were firing. We watched in complete horror as she picked up the girls and started chanting. The girls were lifted into the air by some invisible force. Once we made it to the witch, she had up some kind of force field. We were all banging on the force field screaming and crying, my babies’ eyes began to glow silver and blue. Soon dark clouds started to form, and thunder lit up the skies. It was as if the sun disappeared and left the entire realm in darkness with only the sounds of thundering and the light from the lightning shooting across the skies.

I heard the dragons loudly screeching above us. My focus was still on my babies. Soon all the wolves and the vampires were rising again, but I didn’t care until I heard Hawk yell, “SHAWNA!” That got all of our attention and we turned to see a black dragon grab Shawna and flew away, disappearing in the darkness with the other dragons trying to follow behind him. But seeing how fast he was flying, I didn’t have hope that they would catch him. All we could do is continue to scream not only for the babies but for Shawna as well. “What’s happening?” Makahi asked as he started to ram into the force field. “She must be doing the ritual and has created a force field that we can’t break. Mina said, crying.

“Makahi, what are we going to do? They are so afraid. We have to do something, we have to replace a way to get them out. And that f*****g black dragon took Shawna, it’s too much, too many things are happening, and we are powerless to stop any of it.” I said, sobbing loudly, still punching the force field so hard that my knuckles began to bleed. Silently praying to the God, we were raised to know. The God our grandma made sure we knew that no matter how hard life gets, he will never put more on you than you can handle, and I had to believe that even when it feels like it is too much to bare. He may not come when you want him, but he’s always on time. So, I had to believe that Shawna would be OK, because I couldn’t handle any other outcome.

Antoni’s POV:

The sound that I heard caused me to drop to my knees, holding my ears. The pain was unbearable. But Cannon wasn’t affected. He couldn’t hear the loud pained screams. I thought my ears would burst at how loud it was. Cannon helped me out of the ritual grounds and by the time we made it out, the screams stopped, and I was able to stand and run on my own. Once me and Cannon made it onto the field. We see the entire field covered in b***d, bodies lying dead on the ground, and werewolves fighting vampires. I spotted my son racing in the direction of what looked like Urrale with the babies, and the girls were beating on the force field. “I must go and try to help my brother and sister try to get Lynx under control.” Cannon said, looking at the sky.

“I understand, thank you for your help, but I need to help my son save his pups. Once you get Lynx you all need to replace a way out. You don’t want to be stuck here once Urrale loses this battle.” I said to him, and he nodded and ran off in the direction of the dragons. I ran over to the force field to try and help my son break through the force field where Urrale had the twins. I stopped dead in my track when I saw my son ramming into the force field. I was filled with so much happiness at seeing him again and guilt that I let him down. “Son!” I called out with a shaky breath. He stopped and turned slowly. Facing me with shocked, disbelief on his face, like he wasn’t sure it was me. “Yea, it’s me son.” I said as he ran to me, and we hugged. We both cried tears of happiness. “I’m so sorry son, that I couldn’t protect the girls. I tried so many times, but I have failed you.” I said sadly. “Dad, stop it! This is not your fault. I am happy that they’re alive and so are you. Now we just need to get them from this evil witch.” He nodded and we both ran back to the force field. “Antoni?” I heard a voice I thought I would never hear again. I turned slowly and my breath caught in my throat. “Son, am I seeing things or is your mother really standing a few feet away from me?” I asked my son who was ramming into the force field. “Yes, dad she’s really here alive and well.” He answered. We ran to each other; I lifted her in the air and kissed her with all the love I had for her. I still felt the sparks we always had, even without my wolf. I have been in love with her for half my life. “I have missed you so much baby, the pups are the ones who kept me sane and alive; I couldn’t bare living this life without you.” I said and I grabbed her face and kissed her again.

“I know my love, but I need you to take this and bring Aton forward, this will break whatever is suppressing your wolf.” She said, handing me a small vial. I drank it without a second thought. Although Aton was a pain in the a*s sometimes, he was my pain in the a*s. “Hey, watch your mouth, you’re the pain in the a*s out of the both of us, just ask our mate.” Aton came forward immediately. “I wish we had time to reunite properly, but we have to get the twins out of here.” My mate said. “I Think I can help with that.” We heard a voice say from the castle doors. Everyone turned to look and see who the voice belonged to.

“Just where the hell have you been while I’ve been out here fighting and getting my a*s kicked by a f*****g vampire.” Lateri said to Mylan, who walked causally our way. “I was trying to stop this crazy b***h from releasing the dark one. But it is too late for that. Now we must get the twins out of here to safety before the dark one comes for them. They are the only ones who can kill him, but they haven’t come into their full powers, so he will be determined to kill them, before they are strong enough to defeat him.” Mylan said, turning to the girls who were still punching the force field. “I need you to tap into your powers. She said, facing them. They looked at her like she was crazy. “Wait? What? Ma’am, do we look like power rangers? We aren’t the wonder twins either. There is no wonder twins activate type of s**t going on over here. Trust me, we would have used those damn powers by now.” Mina said, frowning at Mylan.

She chuckled. “I was speaking to my granddaughter.” She said, walking over to Lynn who was frowning in confusion. “So, you mean to tell me you got some kind of powers that you could have been used to get the twins away from the crazy evil lady.” Ji’lahni, said looking at Lynn. “No, I would have used it when I was getting my a*s kicked by the zombie bitch.” Lynn said, in her defense. “She doesn’t know of her powers. Lynndoria, the reason you were chosen to be the guardian of the Omni twins is because you have inherited some of your great-grandfather’s powers. Who happens to be my father, the god of dragon shifters? I wanted to tell you when the time came for you to come into your full potential. But right now, I don’t have the luxury of training and preparing you right now. We must act now if we want to save those babies. But understand that this is not going to be easy, nor will your life ever be the same. I can’t explain in detail because we don’t have the time. I can feel the dark one’s bonds breaking. He will be free any moment. So do you want to help me save those babies?” Mylan asked Lynn, who looked afraid for the first time since I had met her.

She glanced at the twins who were still crying in fear and back at Ji’lahni and Makahi. We were looking at their babies helplessly. Before turning back to her grandmother with determination in her eyes, “Let’s save our babies. She said as she walked over to grab Ji’lahni and Mina’s hands. They immediately wrapped Lynn in their arms and refuse to let go. They were determined that whatever Lynn would go through, they would be right there with her to support her, even if it was pain or worse. They would do it no matter the cost. They were a real family both by b***d and by choice.
