The Alpha's Plus Size Urban Human Mate -
The Alpha’s Plus Size Urban Human Mate – Chapter 37
MAKAHI POV:
I can’t believe what Summer just said. Things got outta hand real quick I needed to defuse the situation. Why would Summer say that we were planning to take her pups. I already know her agenda she wanted the girls to attack. I growled at Summer before I grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the crowd. Once I was far enough away. “What the hell are you doing? Why would you tell her that we would take her daughters?” I sneered lowly. “Kahi you insist on embarrassing me with your mistakes. People are starting to talk about us not being a real mated couple, because they think you’re in love with that human and her kids. The only thing you care about is their feelings I’m your mate and you refuse to let me mark you to complete the bonding.” Summer said crying angrily. I took a deep breath I knew how hurt she was because I could feel her emotions through our bond. Pulling her into my arms and buried my nose in the crook of her neck inhaling her scent. I felt her relax into my embrace. “I hate to break up you guys moment. But the girls are about to leave.” Montego said a little anxiously. I looked in the direction of Jilahni she was holding Tru and grabbing their diaper bag. I let go of summer to had over to where the girls were getting up to leave.
“Hey, you don’t have to go. It was just a big misunderstanding. Summer was just upset about what happened.” I said, which caused Jilahni stopped and looked in my direction. I could see the anger radiating from her. “Are you serious. She was upset? Why is it that she gets to act out physically and verbally then gets coddled by you but me and my family get attacked when we defend and protect ourselves in response to her bat s**t crazy behavior. She can feel however she wants about me but I told you she isn’t allowed around our babies but now she’s under the impression that she will be raising them? The math ain’t mathing Kahi. So since you refuse to tell her what the deal is let me tell her so she understands how it will be.” Ji’lahni said stepping around me to face Summer.
“I need you and your flunky to understand that you are not allowed around my kids you are not allowed to speak on my kids. And as far as you thinking you will be allowed to raise them is a HELL NO and Summer I will kill you before I ever allow you to get anywhere near my kids.” Ji’lahni said just as we all heard 4 clicks and looked down to see that all the girls had their guns pulled and c****d ready to prove that she wasn’t lying. Where. the. hell. do they pull these damn weapons from. Summer visibly took a step back. “Kahi are you just going to stand there while she threatens to kill me. I’m the Luna of this pack we can’t allow them to walk around threatening your luna.” Summer sneered and some of the pack members nodded in agreement. “Ji’lahni please put the gun away you can’t threaten the Luna of the pack that’s against our laws.” I said stepping between her and Sumner. Summer stepped beside me wrapping herself around me. Ji’lahni looked at me in shock and hurt crossed her face. She then straightened and took a step back away from me.
She nodded put her gun back in its holder at her back and stepped around me. I tried to grab her arm to stop her and try and get her to understand where I was coming from. But she recoiled away from me as my hand touched her arm and the jolted almost took my breath away at how strong it was. Maka howled in sorrow at the rejection of our other half mate. “It’s for the best they don’t need to be here they don’t belong here anyway. They always cause problems when they come around.” Summer said. I didn’t respond because I don’t think she would like anything that comes out of my mouth at the moment. I could see Montego fighting the urge to chase after Lynn. This situation only served to validate what Lynn said, that they couldn’t be together as long as Summer was luna.
After Ji’lahni walked out with my pups. Shadow, Hunter, Blaze, Montego, and most of the pack members that actually like the girls also left. Looking around at how many of my pack members loved Ji’lahni and her cousins shocked me. “See what they’ve caused. They have divided this pack and it will continue to divide until we complete our mating. When we complete the bond then everything will fall into place.” Summer said. “Not now Summer.” I said walking to my table taking my sit to get this dinner over with. An hour later I was so lost in thought I didn’t see my parents come into the pack house. “Hey son. Where’s my grandpups I heard they were eating here tonight, So me and your mom decided to join you. We haven’t sat down with you guys in a long time.” My dad said. Snapping me out of my thoughts. Before I could answer Summer jumped at the chance to answer. ” They were here but me and Kahi decided it was best that we limit their exposure to the pack. Everyone seeing those… Pups and the humans causes a divide among those who knows that they don’t belong here and reminds the pack that we aren’t fully mated yet.” Summer said happily.
“WHAT!!? Kahi please tell me you didn’t go along with this.” My mother yelled. “No mom there was a situation and they decided to have dinner at their house.” I said pinching the bridge of my nose at the beginning of a headache. I really want this entire day to be over. But I want to clear things up with Jilahni first she needs to know I would never try and take the girls away from her. “Well I think we’ll go have dinner with our grandbabies and our chocolate drops.” My mother said turning away from us. “Wait! Mother Teri, don’t you think as former luna that we should show the pack a united front. You really shouldn’t have the pack members seeing you hanging around the humans all the time. I’m the Luna now I don’t want us to have any problems.” Summer said and I could literally hear the pack members that stayed slide their chair away from us. My mother stopped in her track and my dad quickly wrapped his arms around my mom lovingly but I know he is doing it to make sure my mother won’t attack Summer. But she broke free. And in the blink of an eye. Had Summer by the throat. “First of all young lady, you know nothing about being a Luna, and you’re technically not Luna because the mating isn’t complete. Lastly you may have a say on who my son spends time with but you will never control who I spend time with. If you ever do anything to hurt my girls again my son the alpha will not be able to keep me from ripping your head off of your body and using it as a center piece. This pack has never been the type of pack to control their pack members and if that is the type of pack you and my son wants to run I will leave this pack and join my brothers pack before I stop spending time with my grandpups or my chocolate drops.” My mother said as her eyes glowed emerald green when her wolf comes to the surface she finally let got of Summer who was gasping for air and crying. We were all shocked at how strong my mother’s Luna aura was. There were rumors about her wolf being a warrior wolf blessed by the moon goddess with special abilities. Calling after her. “Mother you are allowed to spend time with whomever you want this pack has never been a dictatorship and it never will.” I said and my mother nodded as she silently turned and headed to Jilahni’s place. I kinda wish I was leaving with them too.
“Kahi you really need to talk to your mother she can’t be allowed to do that to me. We can’t let the pack members see us arguing and not showing a united front.” Summer complained. “Enough!! You have been making outrageous claims all day. Understand I’m the alpha YOU DO NOT MAKE ANY DECISION WITHOUT MY Approval NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT BEFORE I HAVE YOU LOCK IN OUR QUARTERS AND WON’T BE ALLOWED OUT UNTIL YOU KNOW HOW TO ACT!” I said slamming my fist down on the table cracking it. Summer and Britney jumped and Summer turned on the water works. “I’m sorry but how can I run anything by you if you’re never around. No mated couple has to hear that their mate is spending time with another woman and her babies. I’m trying to keep the pack running smoothly.” Hearing that I quickly regretted my harsh words. Pulling her in my arms. “I’m sorry that you have to go through this. But before you make any announcement get my approval.” I said kissing her lightly as she nodded.
Just as the omegas finished serving the food. I feel a tug in my mind. I opened the link knowing it was my dad. “Hey dad what’s up?” I asked. “Are you sure the girls were eating dinner at their house?” He asked. “Yes I assume so, since they were planning to eat here but left after the situation with Summer.” I said frowning. “Well they aren’t answering. We don’t hear any movement in the house. Your mother is starting to worry.” my father said but I was already up and heading out of the pack house with Montego and Shadow right on my heels I had open the mind link when my father mentioned the girls. It took seconds for us to reach the house. I didn’t bother with knocking I easily twisted the knob and open the door. The house was earily silent we raced to the kitchen, but it was empty. Then me, Montego, and Shadow raced to the girls room. Opening the bedroom door I already knew they weren’t there. My heart began to race violently. Maka was pacing back and forth in my consciousness waiting to come forward if needed. Walking to the closet I see that most of there clothes we gone and the babies things we also gone. So they weren’t taking against their will which calmed me and Maka, but that was replace angry. Looking around I see a note on the pillow. Walking over to the note that has my name on it. With shaking hand I open the letter and my heart sink as I read her words.
Alpha Makahi,
I’m writing so you won’t be worried as to why I’m no longer here. Me and my cousins think it’s best that we leave your pack for right now. I know that as the babies get older I will need help dealing with their wolf half. But that isn’t right now. I can’t be here with your wife and her anger towards me and our girls She is a danger to my babies and I can’t depend on you to protect them as you should because of your guilt and your need to protect your wife which I now know is something you can’t control. I see how hard it is for you to do what you think is right. I don’t want to put you in a position where you have to choose between me your daughters or your wife, but that is what your wife continuously tries to do to feed her insecurities. So with us gone I hope that it makes it easier for you. I decided to remove your guilt and bring you some peace. Me and our daughters presence seems to cause nothing but chaos in your life and relationship with your wife. if I take away your guilt you can finally have everything you’ve always wanted. I will not keep the girls away from you. I will contact your mother to make arrangements for you to see the girls. I just want you to have a break from YOUR MISTAKES as your wife calls us. I don’t want my babies to ever feel like they were mistakes and the fact that you didn’t say anything and they were there in the same room and people heard her call them that hurt me to my core. I need to do what’s best for my babies. I hope you can understand that.
Ji’lahni
By the time I finished the letter I was sitting on the bed because my legs gave out at the realization that they left me that my daughters were gone. I felt anger but Maka was howling in sorrow and blaming me for not protecting our pups and saying how we shouldn’t have marked Summer and now because of me we have lost our mate and our pups. My mom came to sit beside me and took the letter from my hand and read it. She let out a cry as my father tried to comfort her then we hear deigo howl and jumped out of the bedroom window and Shadow silently walked into the room. “Alpha I came to tell you that I will be taking a leave of absence to search for Shawna. I will be back when and if she returns on her own terms. I have lost my other half mate I don’t think I can survive without… Her I can’t lose her too.” He said and walked out without waiting for a response from me and stripped as he walked out no doubt to try and catch their scent before it disappeared.
My mom stood and hugged me putting my head on her chest that was when I heard myself crying and I just let the pain of my broken heart go. Once I was cried out my mother led me out of the house and they escorted me to their house and took me to my old room I sat on the bed as my father came in and sat beside me. He hadn’t said anything since he told me they weren’t there. “Son I can’t imagine the pain you’re feeling. But I do know that you have to make a decision about your other half mate and Your marked mate. Their is a reason you still have a connection which shouldn’t be. That alone should tell you something the moon goddess has a plan for you and Ji’lahni that is the only reason that would explain why you still feel the other half mate bond. Maybe you have to only choose who you truly want to be with. Everything will be as it should once you make the choice. You have to only have faith in the moon goddess’s plan.” My dad said getting up walking to the door. I was looking at him in shock I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t thought of it myself. Maybe all I had to do was make a choice.
Stopping at the door my father turned once again. “Son.” he said and I looked at him. Go get my chocolate sundaes and our chocolate drops. You don’t want to see what your mother does once she finishes crying and let the anger of what your luna did which caused her grandpups to leave sink in.” he said leaving my old room. I was up and stripping I mindlinked Montego and Shadow hoping I wasn’t too late. “Montego I know your hurting but I’m going to replace my mate and my pups please help me replace our girls and bring them home. I didn’t hear from them right away after what seems like forever Montego finally answered with simple word. “OK”. Once I caught up with Shadow their scent mixed with the fumes from their car we fellowed that scent and soon Montego joined us in the search we had one mission. FIND OUR MATES.
