The Alpha's Plus Size Urban Human Mate
The Alpha’s Plus Size Urban Human Mate – Chapter 56

The Doc’s POV: Shawna’s medical Update

“This does not look good, not good at all.” I said. We had been trying to stop the bleeding from the knife wound for hours, but nothing was working. I have used intravenous vitamin K, fresh frozen plasma, b***d, and platelets, but it did not stop no matter what we tried. “Nurse, keep your hand on the bleed while I clamp it to stop the bleeding, then I’m going to stitch and then glue it close and let the clamp remain maybe that will buy us some time let’s hope this will work. I have never seen a stab wound that burns through the stitch and glue every time we close the wound to stop the bleeding. I have to replace out what kind of knife this is. That’s the only way we are going to be able to save her and the baby. I will triple stitch and glue repeatedly and see how long that will hold up, until we can replace a solution. One of you nurses can clean the knife and bagged it. Be careful not to touch it because I don’t know what it will do. You others stay with the patient and mind link me when the bleeding starts back up until I can come back are we clear this is very important.” I said, as everyone nodded. I grabbed the knife and headed to replace the Alpha and the women. The nurse behind the clinic desk told me they were in the conference room. I hurried to the conference room, not bothering to knock.

“Alpha, sorry to interrupt, but this is urgent.” I said as everyone’s eyes snapped in my direction. The girls were the first to react. They ran to me looking worried. “Doc, how is my cousin? Is she ok? Can we go, see her? “They asked one question after the other. “Please ladies have a seat, and I will explain everything I don’t have a lot of time.” “OK, come on let’s have a seat and see what the doc has to say.” The alpha said. They allowed the men to lead them back to their seats. They were crying silently, “Ms. Shawna was stabbed in the ribs. It barely missed her heart. The person who stabbed her purposely pointed the knife upward, trying to pierce her heart, which was their true intended target. Once we removed the knife, it started to bleed rapidly. I have tried everything to stop the bleeding, but we couldn’t stop the bleeding.” I said, bowing my head in sadness this is the first case where I couldn’t figure out how to save my patients. I was able to replace out how to help Ji’lahni and the twins.

“So, is she dead? Is my cousin and her baby dead?” Ji’lahni asked in a broken voice. We all heard a big crash looking up we see Shadow growling half shifted. His mate jumped away from him in fear looking confused by his reaction to the question. I quickly answered the question. “No, she isn’t dead yet but she isn’t out of the woods she is still in very grave danger. But I must say she’s a fighter and so is her baby it was very touch and go, but the issue is that whatever kind of knife was used isn’t a regular knife. It seems to be some kind of magical knife that once it enters the body, or whatever it cuts, won’t heal and the person will bleed to death because nothing can heal the wound, not even a wolf can heal from a stab wound done with this knife.” I said as I threw the knife on the conference room table. Everyone’s eyes went to the knife. The alpha picked it up to examine it. It was a gold knife with ancient writing and symbols etched into the medal. The handle was red marble with gold symbols and old ancient writings on it.

Lahni took the knife and looked at it and passed it to the rest of the people in the room. “Shaid what kind of knife is this who gave it to you?” Shadow growled making her flinch in fear. She whimpered but didn’t answer right then, but there was one woman in the room who was oddly silent because her eyes zeroed in on the knife that was being passed around. “It doesn’t matter she will not heal from it there is nothing that can be done. It will do what it was made to do, which is kill whomever I use it on.” She finally said with a shrug of her shoulder. Which didn’t sit well with the ladies, immediately tried to attack she wolf. I can’t say I blame them, because this was bad really bad. “Everyone please settle down and let the doc talk and finish telling us about Shawna.” The Alpha commended everyone stopped I nodded in thanks. “As I was saying as of right now the only thing keeping her alive is me repeatedly stitching and gluing the wound closed and pumping her body full of a different kinds of drugs that is design to clot b***d in humans and slow or sop the bleeding, but that is only temporary, we will need to replace out what kind of knife that is, I and replace a way to reverse the affect it having on Shawna. If we can’t replace a solution soon, I’m afraid Ms.Shawna and her baby will die.” I said sadly, the girls started to cry as the men comforted them.

Well everyone but Ms. Lynn who still staring at the knife silently as tears just fell from her eyes contiunously. “Nooo!” Shadow painfully howled looked at me gravely. The Commander came to me with desperate eyes. “Doc there has to be something you can do. You can’t let them die you have to save them.” He said with sorrow in his voice. “I’m sorry commander but the only way we may be able to save her is if we replace out where the knife came from and what kind of knife it is.” I said sadly seeing the anguish on his face. I knew the commander cared for the human and more then likely it was his pup she was carrying. Getting a mind link from one of the nurse’s saying that our patch work was starting to bleed through. “I need to go back in with the patient, I just wanted to give you guys an update and see if you can replace out any information about the knife that would help save her and the baby’s life. If we can’t replace a way to save her in the next couple of days then I’m afraid we will have no other choice but to just make sure she is comfortable and surrounded by loved ones. I will see if we can get her cleaned up enough for you guys to be able to see her for a short time but otherwise, she will have to be in a clean environment to avoid any infections.” I said as I left the room in a rush because the nurse just informed me that her bleeding was flowing steadily now and her heart rate was declining fast. I hope the goddess they replace a way to save Ms. Shawna because I’m afraid of what Ms.Ji’lahni and her cousins would do if she doesn’t make it. I will do everything I can to give them the time they need to replace a cure.

Back to the Conference room:

“Shaid, you have to tell us where you got that knife and who gave it to you because we need to replace a way to save Shawna.” Shadow pleaded desperately. “There is no use in telling you anything there is nothing that could save her.” Shaid said looking away from Shadow. “See she is useless if Shawna dies so does, she.” Ji’lahni said pulling the knife from the bag. Shaid gasped backing away as Ji’lahni got up to go towards her. “Stay away from me. Shadow don’t let them do this to me I’m your mate. We were just trying to stop a murderer from killing me. It was self-defense!” The she wolf says in fear. “Self-defense? Bitches are you crazy you literally came into our house and took my babies and my cousin tried to stop you as she was supposed to do, and you stabbed her with this thing that you knew would kill her. But you want us think you’re the victim? I should kill you for insulting my f*****g intelligence.” Ji’lahni said as the alpha tries to hold her from getting to Shaid who was hiding behind Shadow. Who looked completely lost and not knowing what to do. He was in shock that he may lose not only Shawna but also his pup at the hands of his mate.

“Everyone just stop. We will not be able to replace out anything if all we are doing is trying to kill each other.” He said taking the knife from Ji’lahni and handed it to Montego. “We aren’t trying to kill each other we’re just trying to kill that b***h other there.” Mina said through clenched teeth tears falling from her eyes as Blazed tried to comfort her. “Shaid, I don’t want to use my aura on you, but I will if I have to. So please tell us where you got that knife from and what kind of knife is it?” The alpha asked in a deadly tone. Which made the she wolf visibly shrink back. “I told you I didn’t want to do this, all they want to do is kill me. We should have left when I told you too.” Shaid said to Shadow. Who looked at her this time with clear disbelief. “What we are asking isn’t something that you can’t tell us. All we are asking is for the names of who put you up to this and where did the knife came from so we can help Shawna. The Scarlett I knew would never allow someone else to suffer and die like this my mate would help anyone who needed it no mate what. My mate gave her life to save the pups of this pack from being killed. I don’t know who you are, but it isn’t my mate.” Shadow said. Backing away from her.

She looked wide eyed at him in disbelief, shaking her head. “How could you say that to me I’m your mate. I have told you everything I know.” Shaid said defeated. “NO, you haven’t you haven’t told us anything worth knowing we still don’t know who is after my daughters or who your master is. Now you won’t even tell me who gave you this knife.” Ji’lahni said still crying in anger. All of sudden there was a loud crash and before we could blink Lynn jumped across the table with the red marble and gold knife in her hand, the symbols and ancient wording started to glow, she knocked the chair that held the She wolf back and straddled the She wolf. “You have one chance to answer before I take your head off. This knife has many uses that you must not be aware of, which means you either stole it or the person who owns it gave it to you so where is he? Where is my brother?” Lynn asked her eyes glowing bright gold. “What in the entire hell.” Mina and Ji’lahni said at the same time.
