The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate -
Chapter 95 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate
Alpha Dario POV
Tears were pooling in my weary eyes as I trudged up the path to the pack house. There was a lump forming in my throat that I was fairly sure was my stomach. There seemed to be a hallowed pit in my gut.
I couldn't believe what I had just seen. The son I was worried about the most, never wanting to feel the heartbreak from my past, had miraculously gotten his wolf. It was so incomprehensible that I didn't realize the first shift was what was wrong with him when he came out to the pond. Every other possibility ran through my head, from human sickness to a heated fight with his brother before it dawned on me what all his symptoms were pointing towards.
High temperature, body aches, splitting headache, irritability. Those were all common flu symptoms, and being without a wolf, Mick was no stranger to illnesses. He was as susceptible as a human. With all the stress he was dealing with and his reasons for finally coming home, I truly thought he was just sick.
I'm so happy I was wrong.
The dangers brought to our pack today had me sick all day. My weakened body inhibits me from being any help. It brought back memories of being unable to save my brother and the inhibiting pain of losing him. Mick had just come back to where he belonged. I was sitting out here agonizing over the what ifs and hypothetical scenarios. The recurring nightmare of my brother's cold face being replaced with my son's made it impossible to fall asleep. That's when I decided to go for a late night walk and wound up on the bench at the pond to begin with. That nightmare will hopefully come to an end tonight. My son finally has his wolf.
"Honey?" Gail flipped on the light as I opened the door. "Honey, where were you?" She got a good look at my face which must have been a sight, because I felt her anxiety spike instantly. "What's wrong? The nightmares again?" "No," I rested my hands on her arms, pulling her close. "I mean, yes, but no. Not anymore."
"I don't understand," she traced her fingers under my eyes.
My voice caught in my throat, and a sob tore in my chest. The tears started to come like a storm, full of relief. "Our son," I struggled to say the words. "Our son... He got his wolf."
Her eyes went wide with disbelief and surprise. "You.... you mean Miles?"
"No," I laughed with tears running down my cheek. "Mick. Mick got his wolf. He just shifted for the first time, right in front of me."
Gail covered her mouth with both of her hands. "Are you sure?"
"I saw him shift myself," I said softly, rubbing her arms in a rhythmic motion. "His wolf is magnificent. A strong black beast with a powerful aura." My voice caught in my throat again. "He looks so capable. So strong." "That's... that's so," tears were falling from her eyes now as she brushed mine off my cheeks. "That's so great, Dario. Our Mick has no reason to leave."
My heart panged, remembering the irritation coming off his wolf. I wasn't going to worry my Gail with that right now. I was just going to have to work hard to try and gain my son's trust and forgiveness.
"I have more good news," I gripped Gail's face gently. "Chloe accepted Miles. She had his mark on her neck."
A strangled gasp left my mate, and she stumbled to the ground, bringing my weak body with her.
"Thank the goddess."
"Thank the goddess," I agreed. "Our sons are going to be okay."

Chloe POV
Rome, Ivar and Cortina ran through the woods all over Setting Sun Pack, catching attention from all the guards and patrols. Eventually, our wolves ended up in a deserted part of the forest, too deep for any intruders, so it was far from the nearest patrols. Cortina, that hussy, finally got her way. She took turns toying and enjoying both of her mates to the fullest. Rome was as protective but giving as always, and Ivar was as sweet as Miles.
Rome fit well with Mick. I never thought he and Cameron were a good match. Mick's personality is far more similar to Mick's. Rome was on equal footing with Ivar too. The two wolves took some time on their own sparring and wrestling as Cortina rested after her strenuous hussy acts. The three of them were walking back towards the pack house just at dawn when I finally decided to broach the subject of Rome with Cortina. I didn't want to ruin her reunion, but now I need answers.
"You knew Rome was inside Mick?" It wasn't a question but a statement. She knew he was there this whole time. "Why didn't you tell me? How could you keep that a secret from me?"
She was silent for a minute, and I didn't think she was going to answer. She was nervous and hesitant. Then, she finally spoke. "I wasn't sure he could break free. I didn't know how to explain what happened."
"What did happen?"
"I don't know exactly. I just know that when you marked Mick, I felt something I couldn't explain as I tried to hold onto Rome for as long as I could. It lasted for a second, but it was strong. Powerful. My entire subconscious illuminated in a purple glowing energy, and then all of a sudden Rome was there with me. It was like magic."
